Cherie was great when we met her for our meet and greet. On short notice, she filled in on a holiday weekend for us. She left me notes and comments about Sushi that just was so comforting. It made me feel like he was really being well cared for. I just appreciate her so much.

About: I have had pets in my home since I was a child. I had a senior dog I took care of for six years. I am very comfortable with dogs at all stages or any handicaps. I am home throughout the day and all evening with a flexible schedule. My home is relaxing with plenty of space. The fenced in yard is big and a pile of perfect sticks are waiting to be played with. The neighborhood is away from main roads and safe. I do have cameras in the home to keep an eye on things if I run errands. I have a fenced in large yard for safety if your furry friend stays here. I also have a private inside area if they need some downtime. I only have a couple steps into the home. If I visit them then all rules are strictly adhered too. I provide a lot of love and care, making sure they are calm, happy and safe. I tend to care for 4-6 dogs at a time. Many are high energy so your dog should be comfy with that environment. Lazy, sleepy dogs do well with it. I love to have Meet&Greets. I want you to feel comfortable with my space. If it turns out you are not on board 100%, I understand and have no hard feelings. The safety and happiness of your pet is everyone’s focus. Taking care of pets is my full time job so I am home based. I have a couple day care dogs during the work week and spend most of my day with them. I will follow through with your training and rules. Pets are spoiled with attention. I have a box of toys and treats for them. I will provide photos and videos plus regular updates.

Cody was great! He was pretty flexible and helped with my pets for a little over a week without knowing them other than a quick greet and meet. He sent plenty of pictures and updates and this helped a ton while being away from my doggies. Thank you so much

Helen has quickly become my boy Busters new friend. Helen is always on time, always spends the entire time walking Buster and I love getting the feedback every day. She is always keeping me posted of any time changes or dates coming up that she will be out of town. It’s so nice to not have to worry while I am at work and just know my boy is being taken care of. I highly recommend Helen for all of your pets needs!

About: Hi, I’m Tee! I’m a dependable and caring pet lover who enjoys making sure animals feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I offer drop-in visits with attention to feeding, potty breaks, walks (if needed), and plenty of care and affection. I understand how important routines are for pets, and I do my best to keep things consistent and stress-free for them. I’m reliable, punctual, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I also respect your home and follow instructions closely so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies! Pet care fits naturally into my schedule. I’m available for drop-in visits in the mornings, evenings, and sometimes midday depending on availability. I focus on providing consistent, attentive care for each pet and making sure they feel safe and comfortable during every visit. I plan visits close to my home when possible so I can stay reliable and organized. I enjoy caring for animals and take pride in treating every pet like my own. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help keep the pet comfortable and stress-free. About: I’ve owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life, from dogs and cats to smaller pets. I’m currently in school to become a vet tech and hope to go even further one day, so taking care of animals is something I genuinely care about and take seriously. I’m comfortable with everything from basic care to more involved needs like giving medications or even injections. I’ve helped take care of pets that needed daily shots and extra attention, so I know how important it is to be patient and attentive. I’m married and have a steady schedule, so I’m reliable and able to stick to routines. I also love being outside, so walks and playtime are something I enjoy just as much as your pet will. I treat every animal like it’s my own and want you to feel completely comfortable leaving your pet in my care. I currently work part time and go to school twice a week, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. Most of my weekdays are open, along with a lot of weekends, which makes it easy for me to plan around your pet’s routine. Pet care fits really naturally into my life since I already spend a lot of time taking care of my own animals. I enjoy being active and outside, so things like walks, playtime, and check-ins don’t feel like a chore to me. Because of my schedule, I’m able to be consistent and reliable, whether that’s stopping by for visits, sticking to feeding times, or giving medications if needed. I have a large fenced-in backyard in a very quiet neighborhood, which gives pets plenty of space to safely run around and play. It’s a calm environment with minimal noise, so it’s great for animals that might get anxious or overwhelmed easily. I make sure pets always have a safe, clean, and comfortable space while they’re with me, and I keep a close eye on them anytime they’re outside.

About: I've always loved animals and have found their presence is therapeutic. I've owned and cared for many pets throughout my life including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and more. I was hired from a young age to work on farms feeding and caring for animals. I have lots of experience caring for senior dogs and I can accommodate their needs. I have experience with cats and dogs in all life stages and understand how to care for them. I believe that pets are part of our family as mine cuddle up in my bed each night (except for my chickens, haha!) I look forward to meeting and caring for your furry friends! I am a mom that works from home with ample flexibility in my schedule. I can come care for your pet within a window that works best for them without any issues. I am available for dog walking, scooping the litter box, anything your pet requires is no problem. I have experience giving medications, crating, training and clean up.

About: I have had dogs all of my life. I have my own fur baby as well. I’m a school teacher, so I have the summers off to take care of your fur babies! I would love to meet and love on sweet doggies when you are away. I offer boarding and drop in services. They will be in great hands! I definitely understand how dogs are not just pets, but part of the family. I treat my puppy like he’s my child. My closest friend works at a vet office. If something bad were to happen, she’s only a phone call away for me. I would love the opportunity to care for your fur baby! Toy, hound or herding; I love them all (even cats)! I am a teacher so I am free during the summer, holiday breaks and early afternoons! I can also do evening visits. I am very flexible! In client’s homes, I will follow directions to a tee. I understand how important it is to listen to who knows their baby the best!

About: I have had several different animals to take care of inside my life rather it be my own or my friends, I all treat them the same and have them enjoy themselves! Pet care would fit in well as long as it is scheduled. I would be willing to work with hours, and I am available most of the time whenever I am not working at my other job. I would care for them as I would my own animals. Feed them, water them, take them out to use the bathroom, give them attention, etc. :)

About: Hi! I’m Kennedy, a 26-year-old animal lover who has grown up surrounded by pets my entire life—from dogs and cats to hamsters and birds. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for and pet sit for friends, family members, and neighbors, giving me experience with pets of different personalities, sizes, and needs. I now have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply keeping your pet company, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making them feel loved and comfortable while you’re away. I’ve always believed that dogs are one of God’s greatest gifts. They bring so much joy, loyalty, and unconditional love into our lives, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while you’re away! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. This allows me to give pets the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I enjoy making pets a part of my day and ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is always safety, trust, and maintaining their normal routine. I make sure to follow all instructions exactly as provided, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, or house rules. I’m very attentive to keeping pets safe on walks and in the home, making sure doors and gates are secure at all times. I also take time to understand each pet’s personality so I can make them feel comfortable, calm, and cared for while their owner is away. I treat every home with respect and keep everything clean and in order, so you can feel confident your pet (and your space) are in good hands.

About: I love pets and spending time with them. I don't have one currently because I’m in college and I can't afford them. My brother has a dog that I take care of every winter when he travels. I have a lot of time to spend on your pets. I've had a dogs and a cat my whole life. I'm college student that’s currently on summer break with nothing to do, so l have plenty of time to care for your pets as if they were my own. I live in an apartment community but there is a fenced yard for pets and I live fairly close to a park and a walking trail is just down the street from where I live.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
