“Absolutely great experience - my pups loved Tracie and she took such great care of them while I was out of town. Highly recommend and will use her services again. Thank you!”

“I felt reassured going out of town leaving the dogs in Steffanie’s care. She checked in with me regularly, took great care of the dogs, and sent photos of them out and about each day.”

“Cindy is amazing!! She kept me up-to-date on Riley all throughout the weekend and sent the cutest pictures of her. She took such good care of Riley and the house. I felt so good knowing that Riley was in good and loving hands. I highly recommend her and look forward to having Cindy again!”

“M.B and Lindsey drove 2 hours for a meet up a month or so before their sitting with Sasha, which we REALLY appreciated. They were not afraid to open up and get to know and play with Sasha. They asked lots of good questions before and after we left for our vacation, not only about Sasha and her wants/needs but what our expectations were regarding our home. We received pictures and an update each day and we were pleased with their prompt responses. Upon our return we were impressed to find how clean they had left our home. Had we of let her, I think Sasha would have gotten in the car and traveled back home with them as they were packing to go back home. The next day we could tell Sasha seemed to be missing them already. We would definitely book with M.B & Lindsey again.”

About: I have experience taking care of all types of animals (dogs, cats, bunnies, etc.). I have medically complex cats myself, so I am comfortable giving medication or other medical treatments include IVs. I also have two dogs so I am comfortable with caring for multiple pets at a time. I know how important it is to have complete trust in the person watching your fur-babies. I’m here to build community! I start work mid morning so I am available for early morning starts. I can work my schedule to your time. I am local to downtown Greenville and happy to travel. I will follow instruction to a T so that you feel comfortable knowing your babies are in good hands. I am an extra-communicator and will happily send all of the pictures so you can get updates on how we are doing.
“Anna came to meet our tiny Yorkie, Teddi” 2 weeks before she was asked to housesit. Teddi fell in love with her right away. She updated us twice a day and took pics of her and Teddi .It was very comforting knowing that Anna and Teddi were inseparable and Teddi loved her snuggle time and tummy scratches. We will definitely request Anna again Teddi loves her!”

“Truly the best! I always feel like I can enjoy my vacation more with Christopher staying with our pets. I know they will be safe and cuddled non-stop!! Couldn’t recommend enough.”

“Shannon was absolutely wonderful with our dog Bailey! From the moment they met, Bailey took to her right away, which immediately put me at ease. Shannon is incredibly kind, reliable, patient, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. Knowing our dog was with someone so warm and attentive made all the difference. Communication was easy as Shannon kept me updated regularly while our family was away. I’m so grateful for the care Shannon provided and would gladly trust her with Bailey again!”

“Chelsey is wonderful! She doted on our dog and cat while we were out of town. Sent lots of cute pics and updates! We would highly recommend Chelsey and can’t wait for her to pet sit again!!”

About: I have my own two dogs who have never shown signs of aggression or any territorial behaviors. They love all dogs and their favorite thing to do is open their home to new friends. I’m extremely active on weekends and weekday evenings and love to take my own dogs to play, so they are always looking for friends to run with. I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and have also lived in apartments where my roommates would have dogs and I’d watch them and hangout with them constantly. I am a pediatric therapist at a nearby facility in TR! I work full time with full flexibility to go in late, come home early, or leave to let your pup play/eat/potty! My partner works from home and spends a lot of the time with our pups as well- we would add yours right to the family for full days of play and love! I live near Swamp Rabbit Trail and Furman University for all adventures! I have a fenced in backyard, dog park, and a neighborhood for frequent walks. There are tons of opportunities to for pups in this area! I took a small break from Rover to buy a home and get settled. Now that we’re in and adjusted, I’m too excited to open my home back up to your loved pets. Can’t wait to take care of the most important part of your family! I am available everyday of the week. Although I work full time, my primary job is to care for my own fur babies and yours will be added straight to the family! I also have a partner whom I live with whose schedule is flexible and adores pups as much as I do (if not more). I prefer to a pup who’s parents are willing to do early or late pickups and drop offs as it tends to work better. Midday may get tricky, but I am more than willing to work with you. I have a crate if needed, but since someone will be with the dogs so often, I do not see a use! My other two dogs would love nothing more than to play and hang with their new puppy friend! I also offer regular updates, pictures, and videos of your pup enjoying their stay!
“Athena did an incredible job with an elderly dog that has a few quirks, separation anxiety, and back issues. We would use her again without any hesitation. Her communication was frequent and detailed and we could tell Judy was left in the best of hands.”

“I just moved to South Carolina a month ago and had to be away a couple of days this past weekend. I was quite anxious having to find someone to stay in my home and take care of my sweet, Nala. She is older, is a rescue, is a large dog, and the move was alot for her. I arranged a meet with Jerry and I was at ease right away; more importantly, Nala was at ease right away. I think dogs sense immediately if a person is a good fit or not. The day I had to leave, Jerry showed up on time (a bit early, actually, which I truly appreciated) and Nala was very excited to see him. Jerry sent many pictures and texts about how things were going over the two days, let me know when he had to leave for awhile and communicated when he was back. Nala needs alot of love and Jerry was attentive and very willing to give affection to her. The stay could not have gone better. Jerry was also very respective of my home and took good care of everything while I was gone. I highly recommend Jerry and am grateful I found him on Rover.”

“Ana is absolutely a beautiful soul! She was perfect with my two dogs, patient caring and loving with them and that means everything to me. My Ruby has anxiety which worries me whenever I have to leave them, but she was fine, and happy I could see on the tons of pics Ana sent me. Ana has proved herself to be trustworthy and great with dogs. I had peace on my trip, so I will definitely be having Ana gain looking after my fur babies! Love that she is very communicative, and keeps you updated”

“The boys really love Jasmin! They did really well w/ a meet and greet, and immediately took to her. For the overnight stay, she was a great communicator with the updates and pictures. My boys, who are normally hesitant about strangers, had fun with her, and get excited when I say her name. Look forward to booking Jasmin again, as she’s a very kind, sweet and responsible person. She eases the anxiety of leaving your babies overnight.”

“Aspen did a great job taking care of our 11-year-old, very stubborn, bulldog. We needed someone last minute because the person we had arranged to take care of our dog while we went out of town for the holiday cancelled. Aspen was quick to respond and came over to meet Newton ahead of time. She sent pictures and took very good care of him and our house.”

“We had an amazing experience with Lori! She stayed at our home and cared for our two dogs/two cats while we were away. One of our dogs had recently undergone surgery and required medications, rehab exercises, constant monitoring, and a very specific care routine. She took the time to come by before our trip to learn everything and handled his care flawlessly. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with photos and messages, stayed incredibly organized, and communicated wonderfully. What impressed us most was the level of care and dedication she showed. Not only during our trip, but also by checking in on our dog’s recovery afterward. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring. Very grateful will 100% be booking with her again!”

“Sally was amazing! I’ve never left my fur baby in the care of someone I didn’t know, but after the first meet and greet I felt so at ease and was ready to give it a try by starting off with an overnight stay. Sally was very communicative and shared so many pictures where you could see that Addie was so happy and enjoying her time with her new friend. This opportunity has become life changing and I’m ready to rebook. You can trust Sally and know your pet will truly be cared for.”

“Payton was so incredible with our pup! She sent lots of photos and updates, I could tell our dog was in great hands. She was super flexible and accommodating to his schedule. I would highly recommend her services, we’ll be using her again for sure!”

“Eva did a wonderful job housesitting my pets. I have an older dog who needs medicine and she took such great care of my pup. Both pets seemed so relaxed and happy when I got home, and the house was well taken care of too. Thank you so much for the peace of mind, Eva - I will book again!”

I cannot recommend Sara enough to anyone looking for a dog sitter. She sent plenty of detailed updates about our sweet girls, it was great to see they had a wonderful time while traveling. She always takes wonderful care of them and leaves our home in great condition. When our flight got canceled on our last trip she was even willing to extend the booking to make sure our sweet girls were taken care of. If you love your dogs (like I’m sure you all do) Sara is the best dog sitter out there. I would leave her 1,000 stars if I could!

We couldn't be happier with Zero! He stayed at our home for 6 nights and truly went above and beyond in every way. Not only did he take excellent care of our dogs, but he also looked after the apartment with the same level of attention and care. He was incredibly detail oriented, he followed every one of our requests without us having to repeat ourselves, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You could tell he genuinely cared, not just about the dogs, but about the whole space. What really stood out was that before we returned, he made sure everything was cleaned up and left in perfect condition. We came home to a tidy apartment and happy, well cared for pups, honestly better than we left it! We would absolutely book him again without hesitation and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and attentive house and dog sitter.

Lauren is the best dog sitter we’ve had yet and will continue to book with her anytime we are out of town. She stays at our house while treating our two girls like queens with walks, pets, treats, and love. The house was immaculate and she really went above and beyond to treat it like her own. It was also one of our dogs birthday and she bought her a birthday dog treat, as well as printing cute little pictures of them which I hung on our fridge. Thank you so much Lauren, Gia and India can’t wait to see you again!

Tindle was AMAZING! She took such great care of our babies and of our home and sent regular photos and updates. Having peace of mind when you travel when you have a new puppy AND a diabetic kitty at home is a challenge but knowing they were in such good hands was a true blessing. She will be our top choice for sitting going forward 🩷

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Berea walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Berea maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Berea choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Berea. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
