“I hired Helen to watch after our two dogs during a transition period. Her flexibility allowed for three 60min visits which included dog walks each week. Helen was always on time and sent super detailed Rover updates. Both dogs loved her visits. I would definitely recommend Helen for any dog needs you may have!”

“Shea was great! Our Sullie was well cared for according to the directions we left. Shea checked in, filled out the “report card”, sent us pictures and communicated well through the week. We would definitely use her again if needed!”

“Catherine was excellent! Very communicative and sent pics of all the completed tasks. Was always on time and always stays the full 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend and use her again.”

“Deb arrived on time and was great with our new puppy who is still learning. She came on a timely manner and had great energy! She managed to walk Ella and even have time to let her play with her toys for a little while before she had to go back in her crate. We had a great first experience with Deb and will definitely use her again”

“Tindle has been absolutely amazing, communication has been great and she sends so many pictures to keep us updated! We are so glad we choose her and cannot wait for her to come back to care for our dogs!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Rae was extremely helpful and kept the house clean. She continued to keep us updated on the dogs while we were out of town. Will definitely have her dog sit for us again 😊”

“CODY was amazi g with my babies. THEY are not social dogs and never see other humans for most part. THAT makes it difficult to find thebperfect sitter. CODY was perfect. THEY loved him from first moments. I have RING and watched them with him. He has a bright soul and engages magnificently with animals. I highly recommend him for anyone in my situation. HE deserves hreat praise and i thank him on private and publicly.”

“Katherine was fantastic for our boy Greg! She took great care of him and sent sweet pics every visit! I would definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch their fur baby!”

“Shannon did a great job taking care of our senior cat while we were away. Our cat can be a little slow to warm up to new people but Shannon was patient and Applesauce quickly made a new friend. Shannon was reliable and communicated well. We’d definitely have her back.”

“Such an awesome first experience with Rover! Michelle was excellent. Great with communication and pupdates with pics! Would definitely use her again, she seems to really love animals and took great care of them!!”

“I don’t have the easiest dog to care for, but she did an absolutely amazing job with him. She was so loving, attentive, and kept me updated throughout the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring!”

“Needed someone last minute and early to feed/walk due to a last minute emergency dental appointment. She came through—kind, reliable, cares for my pup and doesn’t mind cleaning up after a not 100% housebroken old Yorkie 🥰🥰 highly recommend!”

“If I could give Lisa 100 stars, I would! Lisa took care of our sweet cat for 18 days while we were out of the country. About half way through our trip, we had a serious emergency that we couldn’t handle while being so far away from home. Lisa went above and beyond her duties; making extra trips to our home, cleaning the house, buying extra supplies for our pets/house, all while keeping us updated along the way. I’m a pretty anxious person, but Lisa made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. I wouldn’t only trust Lisa with our pets again, I’d trust her with our kids/family/home, you name it!!!”

“Danielle did a great job taking care of all three of our animals! She was communicative when needed but handled everything perfectly. I will definitely ask her to watch our critters again!”
“Cindy was an absolute dream helping me out by dropping in on my two very old schnauzers. They bonded with her quickly and trusted her for hugs and snuggles. She was kind and cleaned up their little messes and joined them in the yard to walk around. I felt very comfortable with Cindy in my home and she was so lovely and flexible. I know I will be using her again.”
“My girls love Tracie! And it’s comforting to know you have someone trustworthy to spend some time with your babies while you’re at work! Thanks for taking good care of my little loves ❤️”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Willow Heights
We haven’t taken a vacation in about 3 years. Since I sold my vet clinic I didn’t have boarding privileges anymore. Shea came to our house 4 times a day. They enjoyed her company and were very mellow when we got home. I had more separation anxiety than they did. But getting her pictures and updates really helped me relax. Thanks Shea. I highly recommend her.

Sidney took such good care of my rabbit, Poppy! My pet was very happy during playtime and I got lots of photos. She got fed right on time and got let out for pets and treats. I really appreciated that Sidney stayed to hang out with my pet for the full time specified in the request. I feel like I could really trust Sidney and she followed all of my detailed instructions. She went above and beyond the usual care and cleaned up after my pet to leave her enclosure looking better than I left it. I highly recommend this sitter!!

Lauren was great with my two cats. She checked in at each visit and sent lots of pictures. If she was running a few minutes late, she would let me know so I wouldn't worry. It takes awhile for Gizmo to warm up to people and by the end of the week, he sounded as if he liked her. She even took out the trash which I did not ask her to do. I would definitely use Lauren again in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
