When I came to pick Milo up, he was excited to see me, but it was obvious he had enjoyed his stay, being able to run around in the fenced in yard and play together with Sarah’s dog. About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10, when I lived with my parents we had five dogs. I would feed them, play with them and take them to the bathroom every 2 hours. I love animals they always brighten my day even if I'm down. I do not currently have a job, I'm working on starting my small business up, so i will have the flexibility of a schedule to take care of your fur babies. I enjoy being around animals, they always brighten my day. I will make sure to make them feel loved. If you have a backyard, I can run around with them and make sure there fed and make sure they're taken out to use the bathroom as often as they need.
About: I have always loved dogs, and growing up tried to learn as much as possible from the different breeds and their behaviors to the best training methods and the good and bad dog habits. My main experience is my childhood pets and watching friends animals while they’re away. I don’t have a dog now but my love for animals has driven me to sign up for Rover to hopefully spend some time with dogs and lend a helping hand to some dog owners in the Chicago area. Due to COVID I’m currently working from home full time, but even afterwards my job is fairly flexible so that I would be able to continue Rover as well. Looking forward to learning more about your dog, and how best to take care of them!
“Katherine has great communication and sent photos of Maisy throughout the day. She was flexible with scheduling and took great care of Maisy. Would book with Katherine again!”

About: Hey! I’m active and positive girl from Ukraine! I’m happily married and live together with my husband, who also has a big experience with dogs, so we’re happy to treat your dog as our baby! We love dogs and always make sure they feel safe and cozy in our house. When we’re living in Ukraine we often took care of someone’s dogs. Our relatives have a dog and two puppies that have grown successfully and we spent a lot of time raising them. Also here in America, we took care about my uncle’s two corgis for couple years, when he leaved town and that happened at least once a month. We played and walked with them, feed and gave some medication to them. We’re always want to find a way to be friends with dogs and understand their needs. We’re living here about four years and already have a regular clients whose dogs adore us! I’m currently working 3-4 times per week at the restaurant, so usually I could be out for 2-3 hours at lunch and 2-4 hours at the evening. My husband is home full time. We’re happy to spend all our free time to play with your pups and looking forward to meeting your dog! Available any day! I can take your dog in my house and make sure to provide him with a safe and happy living environment with no others dogs or kids. Also I can spend time with your dog in your house, walk, play and enjoy our time together!

My husband and myself both operate our Rover account and one of us will take great care of your pet. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the genuine love and care I bring to every dog I meet. I see each pet as an individual with their own personality and needs, and I make it my priority to make them feel safe, happy, and loved—just like they would at home. I have two sweet rescue dogs of my own who are incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs. Living with them has taught me so much about patience, trust-building, and how to read a dog’s body language. It’s also given me real experience in creating a calm, playful, and secure environment, especially for dogs who may be shy, energetic, or still adjusting to new surroundings. Whether it’s playing fetch, going for walks, or simply being a calming presence, I put my heart into giving every pup the attention and affection they deserve. You can feel confident that your dog will be treated with kindness, respect, and lots of love while they’re with me. I work from home about 12 hours a week, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to fully focus on caring for dogs. My schedule allows me to provide consistent attention throughout the day—whether that means extra potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping a close eye on your pup to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Because I’m home most of the day, I can easily adapt to each dog’s routine and needs. Whether your dog requires a little extra care, more frequent walks, or simply loves companionship, I’m here to provide a calm, loving environment with lots of one-on-one time. At home, we follow a balanced routine that includes a mix of long and short walks throughout the day to keep dogs active and happy. I also have access to a dog park in the apartment complex, which is great for safe playtime and socializing in a controlled environment. I live with my boyfriend, and while I’m the primary caregiver during the day, he also helps out with the dogs in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends. We both love spending time with animals, and your pup will receive plenty of attention, love, and care from the two of us throughout their stay. Inside, I love incorporating little training moments during the day to encourage good behavior—like practicing “sit,” “wait,” or calm greetings. It keeps their minds engaged and helps create a positive, structured environment. If your dog is crate-trained or feels more comfortable having their own space, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I can provide crate time for rest, routine, or safety—whatever works best for your pup’s needs. Overall, I aim to create a peaceful, enriching, and loving home where every dog can feel secure and cared for.
About: I have been dog setting for the past 23 years. It all started when I watched my boss' 3 chihuahuas when I was about 17 and then I just have had many request ever since. I have had the privilege of caring for many beloved pups. Throughout my pet-sitting days, I have provided a loving and safe environment for dogs of all shapes and sizes. My two personal dogs were an integral part of my life for 12 wonderful years. They both passed in the Summer of 2020. It took me awhile to get another dog, but I did finally get our Elvis (a bloodhound) in October 2022. He is almost 5 years old with a giant heart! He loves to have a fur-friend over and gets along with any age pup. I have a son who is 10 years old and absolutely loves helping out with the dogs. My son has learned so much about dogs and loves having them around as well. I also prioritize the emotional well-being of the dogs I sit for. I recognize the profound impact that loss and change can have on a dog’s mental health, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. Through patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of canine behavior, I work to alleviate any anxiety or stress that may arise during their time with me. Above all, I approach dog sitting as a privilege and a responsibility. I hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism and compassion, ensuring that each dog receives the love and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a pawsitive and enriching experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of peace of mind for all parties involved. I am a stay at home dog-mom! I’m currently an online student with no fixed classes, so I have ample time and energy to spend time with your furry friend! Available Monday-Sunday. I will follow any owner’s instructions on how best to care for their furry friend in their home! Happy to play in a backyard, take them on walks, or hang out in the home.

“Deborah was available for a same-day request & communicated well! She sent several pictures from the walks. I would use her again in the future if Winter needs another walk while I’m away.”

“Helen has quickly become my boy Busters new friend. Helen is always on time, always spends the entire time walking Buster and I love getting the feedback every day. She is always keeping me posted of any time changes or dates coming up that she will be out of town. It’s so nice to not have to worry while I am at work and just know my boy is being taken care of. I highly recommend Helen for all of your pets needs!”

About: I have taken care of pets ever since I can remember. I always had at least one cat in my household growing up. My parents and neighbors have trusted me to take care of their fur babies ever since I was in middle school. My two Siberian cats that I have require a lot of attention, treats and play time, and I can’t wait to also take care of yours! I work from home so I am very flexible during the week and most weekends. I also can take care of your babies in the morning or in the evening. I love playing with my two cats and running them around the house. I will give your fur babies lots of cuddles, love, treats and attention!
“My wife and I went away for several days, and Amber walked our two dogs (one is 14 lbs and one is 90 lbs). Even though the weather turned bad, Amber was very dependable. She communicated with us well. Even was committed to walking them in a literal hurricane, although it proved unnecessary and probably would’ve been impossible. Amber will definitely be at the top of our list next time we need someone to walk our dogs or do anything else for them while we’re gone.”

About: When my rescue dog Honey came into my life, I had to learn a lot about loving reactive dogs! I know how hard it can be to find someone you trust to care for a difficult dog when you need it. Please note that all rates on Rover are my base rates. After a meet and greet where we discuss your dog's needs, any rates may be increased accordingly with services required. For overnight stays with high anxiety, very high energy, or other cases that require specialized care, expect at least $50 per night for a single dog. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate almost anything! I would prefer 2 days notice, but I understand life can change quickly and your pup still needs care. I will do my best with same day requests but cannot offer a guarantee. With my own dog at home, I cannot offer boarding, but I am more than happy to come see your dog in their home environment. I am happy to do drop ins or walks for homes with cats, however I cannot stay overnight in homes with cats due to allergies.

About: I do well with puppy training, unspayed female dogs, and shy dogs. My specialty is doodles and rescue because that’s what I’ve grown up with. :) I’m currently a graduate student at Furman University in Masters of Strategic Design and a graduate assistant for Furman women’s basketball. Just looking for work when I get off or have a free day. My dog is the most social dog you’ll meet. “Cody is simply the best. He has now walked (or jogged) with our goofy energetic fireball Layla weekly for 22 months and has become a big part of my dogs' lives. He always visits with my senior girl Sasha too, and she adores him. Some people have big wide-open hearts that dogs recognize instantly. Cody is like that. Absolutely trustworthy, truly caring about animals, and finding joy in the opportunity to be with the animals he cares for. I don't always say it, but all of us in our family are grateful for him every day.”

One of my dogs is very scared of people and she even was cuddling next to Vanessa by the end of their stay. Both of my dogs loved her and I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: I have an 11 year old rescued and very mellow plott hound dog. I have been watching friends dogs for over 5 years and have no issues with any type of dog in my past experiences. I work from home so I am able to take your dog to the bathroom and walks to unity park throughout the day. Your dog will be in good hands and it will be an enjoyable day for them I work from home and will have a relative easy way to drop off your pet. Your pet will go on at least 2 walks per day and go outside to the bathroom at least 3-4 times a day and more if needed. I have one dog and we will be in an apartment by ourselves. Have plenty of room for 1-2 additional dogs. I can communicate at mostly anytime of the day if any issues arise. Your pet will have a safe space inside and I do have an enclosed balcony if they would like to sunbathe.

“Judy and her husband are great. Perfect place for our Sadie. They saved us when our other rover sitter fell through and kept Sadie for 9 days at the last minute and then were even flexible with drop off and pick up. We will definitely use them again. Thanks so much for taking good care of our girl and being so flexible with us!”

“Hannah was a great sitter. She texted my photos and kept my mind at ease while I was on vacation. She is pleasant and knowledgeable in dog handling, and I know my Bud loved her. Would definitely use her again!!!”
“Our pups always have a great time staying with Matthew and Heidi - they're great! So communicative, kind, and caring with our dogs. We appreciate the care they provide!”
