“My family and I were going away for an extended period of time and needed a sitter for our doggy while we were away. I checked out some Rover options and decided on a sitter and she quickly accepted my request. I went to her house to visit prior to leaving my dog with her, and she and her husband were very welcoming opening their home to me to show me where my doggy would be housed for the extended period of time. That made me feel very comfortable leaving her there under their care in that as most of you know, our doggies are like our children and that’s most definitely the way we feel about our dog. Mary and her husband took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She sent lots of pictures and I could tell that she was being loved and that she was comfortable and happy throughout the stay which made me feel very good and at ease during our trip, Thank you Mary for taking such great care of our dog, and I would highly recommend her to other dog owners looking for someone that is compassionate about dogs snd has a beautiful home that is very well suited for pets to be really comfortable and safe.”

“Tanya was amazing with our furbabies, and really eased my mind about being away from our elderly (22 year old) cat for so many days. She always sent pictures and great updates and did her check-ins right on time. We will absolutely ask her to care for them again.”

When I got home, everything was spotless, and my cat was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for. You can tell she treats every pet like her own, and that makes all the difference. About: I have an 11 year old rescued and very mellow plott hound dog. I have been watching friends dogs for over 5 years and have no issues with any type of dog in my past experiences. I work from home so I am able to take your dog to the bathroom and walks to unity park throughout the day. Your dog will be in good hands and it will be an enjoyable day for them I work from home and will have a relative easy way to drop off your pet. Your pet will go on at least 2 walks per day and go outside to the bathroom at least 3-4 times a day and more if needed. I have one dog and we will be in an apartment by ourselves. Have plenty of room for 1-2 additional dogs. I can communicate at mostly anytime of the day if any issues arise. Your pet will have a safe space inside and I do have an enclosed balcony if they would like to sunbathe.
“Friendly, warm atmosphere. We left our two pups for two full day events. Our dogs are anxious and normally can’t wait to leave a sitters. Erika was excellent from start to finish. Our pups didn’t want to leave and the next day happy to be back. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the genuine love and care I bring to every dog I meet. I see each pet as an individual with their own personality and needs, and I make it my priority to make them feel safe, happy, and loved—just like they would at home. I have two sweet rescue dogs of my own who are incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs. Living with them has taught me so much about patience, trust-building, and how to read a dog’s body language. It’s also given me real experience in creating a calm, playful, and secure environment, especially for dogs who may be shy, energetic, or still adjusting to new surroundings. Whether it’s playing fetch, going for walks, or simply being a calming presence, I put my heart into giving every pup the attention and affection they deserve. You can feel confident that your dog will be treated with kindness, respect, and lots of love while they’re with me. I work from home about 12 hours a week, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to fully focus on caring for dogs. My schedule allows me to provide consistent attention throughout the day—whether that means extra potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping a close eye on your pup to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Because I’m home most of the day, I can easily adapt to each dog’s routine and needs. Whether your dog requires a little extra care, more frequent walks, or simply loves companionship, I’m here to provide a calm, loving environment with lots of one-on-one time. At home, we follow a balanced routine that includes a mix of long and short walks throughout the day to keep dogs active and happy. I also have access to a dog park in the apartment complex, which is great for safe playtime and socializing in a controlled environment. I live with my boyfriend, and while I’m the primary caregiver during the day, he also helps out with the dogs in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends. We both love spending time with animals, and your pup will receive plenty of attention, love, and care from the two of us throughout their stay. Inside, I love incorporating little training moments during the day to encourage good behavior—like practicing “sit,” “wait,” or calm greetings. It keeps their minds engaged and helps create a positive, structured environment. If your dog is crate-trained or feels more comfortable having their own space, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I can provide crate time for rest, routine, or safety—whatever works best for your pup’s needs. Overall, I aim to create a peaceful, enriching, and loving home where every dog can feel secure and cared for.
About: I have had pets my entire life, both cats and dogs, and have always viewed them as family. Your dog will be treated no differently than if they were my own. I have experience with teaching basic commands such as sit, down/lay, heel and stay if that’s something you’d be interested in. I work fully remote and set my own hours, so I’m able to provide your pup with my full attention during their stay with me. I have a house that sits on over half an acre with a fenced in backyard that your dog will have full access to run wild and play in. I have my own dog (a large, energetic, but sweet labradoodle) that loves making new doggy friends and will also keep them company and play. I have plenty of toys for them to play with (that I clean regularly), including a Chuck-It that’s a crowd favorite. I have experience with providing medication and know CPR as well as the Heimlich Maneuver on dogs. In cooler months I tend to keep my back door open so my dog is free to go in and out as he pleases. In warmer months I let my dog out every 2-3 hours, and will do the same for your dog. I ensure dogs eat separately from each other just as a precaution as well.

About: Growing up I had a dog named Toby and Kallie the cat! We’d be responsible for taking Toby on walks, feeding him, administering medication, and of course showing both of them major love and affection. My work schedule is very flexible so I’m able to adjust according to your pup’s needs. I work from home on occasion and would be happy to have some canine company in the house. I live in a pondside home in a safe suburban neighborhood. It’s a wooded area with all kinds of critters, much to explore! I’ll set up a bed with blankets in the sunroom for my doggie guests :)

About: I have been dog setting for the past 23 years. It all started when I watched my boss' 3 chihuahuas when I was about 17 and then I just have had many request ever since. I have had the privilege of caring for many beloved pups. Throughout my pet-sitting days, I have provided a loving and safe environment for dogs of all shapes and sizes. My two personal dogs were an integral part of my life for 12 wonderful years. They both passed in the Summer of 2020. It took me awhile to get another dog, but I did finally get our Elvis (a bloodhound) in October 2022. He is almost 5 years old with a giant heart! He loves to have a fur-friend over and gets along with any age pup. I have a son who is 10 years old and absolutely loves helping out with the dogs. My son has learned so much about dogs and loves having them around as well. I also prioritize the emotional well-being of the dogs I sit for. I recognize the profound impact that loss and change can have on a dog’s mental health, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. Through patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of canine behavior, I work to alleviate any anxiety or stress that may arise during their time with me. Above all, I approach dog sitting as a privilege and a responsibility. I hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism and compassion, ensuring that each dog receives the love and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a pawsitive and enriching experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of peace of mind for all parties involved. I am a stay at home dog-mom! “Vanessa is awesome. Had an emergency come up so I wasn’t able to pick up my pup at the expected time. She thankfully watched him for another few hours and was nice enough to feed him as well. Really helped me out a lot. Highly recommend.”

About: I have always loved dogs, and growing up tried to learn as much as possible from the different breeds and their behaviors to the best training methods and the good and bad dog habits. My main experience is my childhood pets and watching friends animals while they’re away. Due to COVID I’m currently working from home full time, but even afterwards my job is fairly flexible so that I would be able to continue Rover as well. Looking forward to learning more about your dog, and how best to take care of them!

“I loved that we kept in contact through the weekend. This was my girls (2 Chihuahuas) first time ever being away from me. They have always stayed with my family but since moving to a new state, I don't know anyone. After meeting her, I felt comfortable with leaving my baby girls. She communicated very well and sent me a picture of my girls. Thank you so much Karen.”

“Stephanie was great with our puppy! She was available last minute which was a huge help for us. She communicated with us and sent us picture updates throughout his stay. Highly recommend using her!!”

“Hannah was a great sitter. She texted my photos and kept my mind at ease while I was on vacation. She is pleasant and knowledgeable in dog handling, and I know my Bud loved her. Would definitely use her again!!!”
“Matthew and Heidi were amazing and took great care of our pup. Very responsive, and incredibly kind when our pick-up time had to be adjusted. Would absolutely book with them again!”
