Tommy put that all to rest. He's very thorough, asks all the right questions, kept Spaceman in his routine which is crucial for him and gave us TONS of updates and pics. “Stephanie was a great cat sitter. She really helped us out when another Rover sitter canceled and it was getting closer to our departure. She responded immediately and we set up a meet and greet. All went well and we booked her that day. I didn't manage my time effectively and ended up leaving a small note about staying at our apartment and our cat Meka. No problem, we were able to communicate through text and she just knew what to do anyway. She sent pictures every morning and also extra ones with cute poses. I could see Meka had made a new friend. Our plane got in late and she stayed to make sure the cat was feed. Everything was in order and our plants were even taken care of. Don't hesitate book Stephanie, we would again.”

As a giant breed, Baloo can be a handful but Jason handles him with ease and he also seems to ease Phoebe’s chronic anxiety with his chill demeanor. One of our cats, who is afraid of her own shadow, has even warmed up to Jason, which is mind-blowing because she doesn’t like ANYONE! Both times that Jason has stayed with us he has left the house cleaner than he found it and he clearly KNOWS dogs. As a dog dad himself he knows what we care about. He lets us know what time they walked, how their poops were, and how their appetite has been. About: I have two components of success: time to take care of your pet and love for animals. I can sit with your pet, walk, feed, wash, take to grooming, etc. I have many hours of free time to give your pet all the love and care it needs. I am ready to sit, walk, feed, wash, take it to grooming or to a vet clinic, etc. with your dog or cat. Currently I do not offer taking in pets in my home, but I would love to visit pets in theirs and take them for walks or vet appointments.

About: This is the first year of my life without a pet! Without a furry friend I feel a bit lost. LA is filled with posh puppies, territorial terriers, delightful dobermans and I'd like to befriend every single one. My biggest goal is to put your mind at ease when your away. I have done all sorts of care activities from flea baths to applying booty-cream for senior canine infections. No matter the task, I'm just happy to spend time with a furry friend! I am currently working online in a freelance position. My schedule is very flexible as I am very mobile and able to stop by at any hour. I understand that when you're away, your pet and house safety is the last thing you want to think about. I always strive for the safest environment possible. I ensure doors and windows are locked at all times, I surveil outside-time if you have a backyard, I strictly enforce your rules about where pets can/not roam within the house. The only person in your house at all times is myself. I strive to build connections with you as well as your best friend.

My dog, Slippery, is 5 years old and has a pretty strong personality—so finding someone I could trust was really important to me. “Lindsey may have thought that I was joking when I told her that our little menagerie was a zoo! It was a big job for one person, but Lindsey was willing to take on the responsibility and she cared for our family of critters and plants as if they were her own. She communicated with us as often as was needed and even responded timely to texts from a different time zone. Our cranky older dog, crazy chihuahuas, puppy, and cats were fed, medicated and cared for not only according to our directions but also with genuine affection. She observed the eating and sleeping patterns of both our dogs and cats and let us know if anything was out of the norm. Although Rover doesn’t have a section for reptile or amphibian care, (we did compensate Lindsey for this as well as caring for our plants outside of Rover) Lindsey had no problem taking care of our bearded dragon, mourning geckos and dart frog (even though it involved feeding live insects). Coming home from a week away can be a bit overwhelming but Lindsey looked after our pets and plants with care and responsibility. AND we came home to a yard free of doggie landmines, clean litter boxes, indoor and outdoor plants alive (in over 100 degree weather!), a tidy home just as we left it, and even the linens from the guest room halfway through the laundry cycle! When we need a pet/home sitter again, Lindsey will be first on our list.”

About: I've spent the last 12 years of my life learning to take care of furry friends of various temperaments. I have experience with all kinds of dogs, from extremely energetic (like my family's first dog, a high-strung Portuguese Water Dog) to extra reserved (like our current dog, an anxious labradoodle), and am easily able to adapt my personality to any dog. I've spent time helping a senior dog with separation anxiety feel comfortable eating while her family was away, feeding cats and dogs for friends' families, and doing all manner of tasks with my own dogs, including grooming, bathing, feeding and more. I'm a recent UCLA grad, so I have the time to spend much of my days hanging out with your pup. Note: I have a mild dog allergy, so while I'm happy to take on all dogs for walks and drop-in visits, I can only do overnight stays with non-shedding/hypoallergenic dogs! I've just graduated from UCLA and am looking to fill an awkward gap in my employment schedule with pet care—so I'll be available almost 24/7 for the coming month! I am experienced with living with multiple animals and following their daily routine, from feeding and walks to playtime. I'm also accustomed to knowing their needs based on their body language, and love to get to know new animals.
