“Shelby was absolutely amazing with our dog, Charlie! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease. She went above and beyond to make sure Charlie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. We received thoughtful updates and could tell how much she genuinely cared about him. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such loving and capable hands. Charlie clearly had a wonderful time, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter.”

“I had my two turbo potatoes (Boston Terriers) stay with Caroline, and they had a great time. I was very worried about leaving them for a long time, but Caroline really put me at ease. She was very communicative, sending me photos of them pretty much every day. She has a great knowledge of Brachycephalic dogs, how they can get heat stroke if they are outside too long in hot weather and monitored the time my pups spent outside really well. I was very worried about this due to the heatwaves over Summer, but she made sure they were ok and for that I am so grateful! Both of my pups have allergies and take medication. Caroline made sure they got it every day. They got to play with lots of other dogs and when I picked them up, they were very happy. They were both in great shape and probably sad to leave! I will definitely be booking with Caroline again.”

“Nakita and her family were wonderful. She kept me updated with photos and videos of Rosie having a great time. Would definitely use again. Rosie was well loved and cared for in their home!”

“Thaleia watched my dog, Cooper, for an extended stay, and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable leaving him in her care. From our pre-stay meet and greet, I knew he would be in great hands. She was kind, communicative, and consistently sent thoughtful updates with photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“We had an amazing experience with Qinrong and her family! They took such wonderful care of Youngjoo and treated her like part of their own family. We received so many photos and videos every day, which made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Communication was always fast, kind, and thoughtful. We could truly feel how much they cared. Youngjoo can be a bit shy around new people at first, but she looked so relaxed, happy, and comfortable in every update. It was clear that she felt safe and loved with them. We’re beyond grateful for all the love, patience, and attention they gave. Honestly, Qinrong and her family are some of the best sitters we’ve ever had, and we’ll absolutely book with them again. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for warm, trustworthy, and caring people to watch their pup!”

“I genuinely wouldn’t leave my dog Larry with anyone else. RoseAnn is amazing, so kind and understanding and is clearly so great with animals. Larry loves staying with her, she sent updates on how he was doing, and while I am always very uneasy leaving Larry when I go away on vacations, the second I got to her house to drop him, I was so at ease, because I remembered how well he was taken care of last time. Thank you so much RoseAnn, genuinely so grateful!”

“Lily did an amazing job taking care of my baby Goose. She gave incredible updates and treated him to trips out socializing which was beautifully photographed. He was incredibly spoiled. She did a great job executing his routine and incorporating tons more fun! Would a million times recommend. Goose was one happy behaved pup with her love and care!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and am now a proud dog mom to my Frenchie, Hendrix! I know how much trust it takes to leave your pup with someone else, and I’ll care for them just like they’re my own. Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and updates throughout the day. My apartment complex is very dog friendly and has two fenced-in grass dog parks, so whether your dog loves to play or prefers a slower pace, I can make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. If you have a Frenchie or another wrinkle-faced pup, they’re in good hands! My apartment has pet stairs to all the furniture, and I always keep wrinkle wipes, wrinkle paste, nose balm, and other Frenchie essentials on hand to keep those ADORABLE squishy faces happy and healthy. FOR OVERNIGHT BOARDING: All dogs must be up to date on their vaccines! My Frenchie, Hendrix, will be here too and I need to make sure he’s safe. Hendrix is incredibly friendly and loves making new dog friends. If your pup enjoys other dogs, they’ll have a built-in playmate. If they prefer to be the only dog, overnight boarding may not be the best fit—but I’m always happy to discuss other care options!🐾🩷 I work from home, and am only gone for a few hours in the afternoons on Tues-Thursday, which means I have the flexibility to take breaks throughout the day to check in on your pup and give them the attention they need! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I provide consistent updates, respect the home environment, and follow any specific instructions closely to make sure their furry family member is well taken care of. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or simply giving them some love, I’m dedicated to providing the best care possible!
About: I have been walking dogs since I was a teenager. I have experience with any size dog, from small puppies to Great Danes. I have done everything from house sitting to simply taking dogs for a oowalk. I’m currently working remotely, so my schedule is pretty flexible. If I’m house-sitting, that means that I will be with your pet most of the day! I will give your dog as much attention as needed. I will feed them, take them on walks, or simply keep them company! Just let me know what your routine is and I’ll try to follow it.
About: I’m a warm-hearted animal lover with a deep connection to pets of all kinds. I’m also a Reiki Master, offering gentle energy work to help anxious or stressed pets feel calm and at ease. Since I work from home, my schedule is flexible almost every day. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible — just send a message and we’ll figure out what works. I keep a calm, low-stress environment with no other dogs in the home, which is ideal for pets who are nervous around other animals or just prefer one-on-one attention. My backyard is fully fenced, so there’s plenty of room for safe play and bathroom breaks without worry.
“Kamal was very attentive to my pet and communicated very well. He made sure to send lots of cute pictures and updates while he boarded my dog Max. I would definitely book with him again!”

“Michelle did a fantastic job watching Moose for several days. He loved running in the fenced in back yard. She sent photos everyday. We will deffinantly use her again.”

“Sarah helped me out for our last minute decision to bring and board my dog in Savanna while I attend a week-long event. She was so nice and accommodating from the time she met Jojo up until we picked her up. She was able to manage my dog’s reactive tendencies w/ other dogs and immediately recognized which of her own dogs Jojo can acclimate best with. Plus she sends lots of photos. I’m so happy and lucky to find someone like her who really cares about dogs and not just out there to run a business. I highly recommend her and most likely will call on her again when we come back to Savannah.”

“We left Niko for 10 days with Jacky and her dad and we are so happy with them. They gave Niko’s medication without any problem. He slept with Jacky :) and now he has new friends (their dog and a cat). They sent me pictures and messages everyday about Niko. Niko looks happy during and when we pick him up. We will count with them in our next vacation.”

“Here’s a draft for your Rover review of Alexis: Alexis was fantastic with my dog on short notice! She took great care of my pup and made me feel at ease by sending frequent updates and adorable pictures. I could tell my dog was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend Alexis for anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH YOU ARE APPRECIATED ☺️”

“Tressa was fantastic with Tallulah! We were a bit nervous because this was our first time leaving her with anyone. Tressa stayed in constant contact by sending pictures and videos. She didn't just send pictures of our girl sitting alone, but showed her in action with her new pal. We will definitely make Tressa our first choice when we need boarding. You cannot go wrong with Tressa.”

Lilyana was so wonderful with Tim and we really appreciate her time and care with him! Tim had such a great time he was reconsidering leaving with us! Sooo glad he had that time with her! She’s absolutely so sweet and amazing! Thank you for the care and love you provided Timothy! Can’t praise her enough!

Juan was absolutely fantastic! He was professional, warm, and very attentive to Sriracha (family cat). He kept me aware on a daily basis about her activities via message, photo, and video which gave me and my sons great comfort as we were away for an extended period of time. Sriracha could not have been left in the care of a more friendly and welcoming home than Juan's and his lovely wife. Five stars, 10 out of 10, thumbs up... You name it! They were great ambassadors of the Rover business. I would highly recommend Juan!!

Marston took great care of my dog, Pepper. She didn't want to leave when I picked her up! Marston sent pictures of her having fun with other dogs he was caring for. I could tell when we went for a meet-and-greet that he is a real dog-lover. I would definitely ask him to dogsit again.

Cindy made the whole process so easy! Her experience speaks for itself. She handled our dog's intricacies smoothly and helped us feel a lot better about leaving him with a sitter. He was so calm and happy when we picked him up, too. I would book with her again anytime!

Whitney was absolutely wonderful! She is incredibly experienced and professional, and after our initial meet-and-greet, I felt completely comfortable leaving Cooper in her care. He had a great stay, and I really appreciated the personalized updates she sent throughout his visit. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and took excellent care of him. I would definitely recommend Whitney to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Last-minute requests aren’t always easy to accommodate, so we truly appreciate you accepting ours. ❤️ Ramona and her daughter took such wonderful care of Dolce. Every picture they sent showed her with the biggest smile, and it absolutely warmed our hearts. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and loved while we were away. Thank you both again for your kindness and excellent care. We would absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to others!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
