“Madison kept my English Cocker for a week while I had Drs appointments in S FL and although Kelly can’t talk (my dog) I know she had a good time and Madison kept me informed and accommodated my needs above and beyond the call. My Kelly is “low maintenance”…I am “high” and Madison rolled with it and made us both smile. The best!!! SB”

“Lilyana is an amazing host for your dog. Definitely your go-to for boarding in Savannah. She knows her stuff and is amazingly professional and friendly. Could not recommend anyone else!”

“I very highly recommend going with Bill for your Rover needs. Incredibly easy to work with, provided an ideal amount of communication/updates on our pup. I have an energetic goldendoodle and he was returned to us very happy + worn out from his stay. I’ll reach out to Bill next time we need a Rover!”

“A great experience with Ms Ashley! Our dog immediately acclimated to the friendly family environment. She kept us informed and I felt confident that our little guy was in a happy place. 5 stars and then some!”

“This was the first time that I left my pup with anyone other than family. My experience was great! My baby is big but not harmless at all. Nakita & her family took him in as their own. She sent pictures along the way so that I knew he was okay! Those pics showed that he was more than okay. I will definitely allow my baby to stay with this family again! Thanks so much Nakita!”

“Stephanie and Devonte were absolutely incredible!! They loved our pups like their own and sent me so many updates and videos throughout the whole stay. Our dogs got along great with theirs! They were also the sweetest pups. Would definitely recommend them to anyone and we will most definitely be coming back. Pretty sure our dogs already miss them.”

“The first time I met Melissa, I knew our fox terrier, Hershey ♥️ would be in good hands. Melissa is kind, caring, responsible and sends daily pictures with updates. She has a beautiful fenced in yard. I highly recommend Melissa♥️”

“Edra was excellent with our pups! We have a 12 year old Spaniel and a 6 year old Frenchie. Both are spoiled and get anxious in traditional kennels. Edra boarded them and treated them like her own. We definitely recommend her.”

“Sarah was wonderful. Walter can be anxious and he seemed to do just fine, on short notice too! Sarah was communicative and flexible. I appreciated the short notice availability.”

“Sierra helped me out in a pinch and took great care of my very active dog. My dog got to play with other friendly dogs, was taken to the park, and given toys. Her home is dog safe. I will definitely rebook Sierra!”

“From the moment I dropped off my two dogs Juan and his wife were so welcoming and sweet to my dogs . He communicated and sent photos and replied quickly. My dogs looked so happy and loved . I 10000% percent recommend him . He was amazing !!”

“We drove from Charlotte and felt very comfortable leaving our anxious pup with Renee. I would definitely recommend her if you are in Savannah or coming to town! She even provided a written report card after our pup’s stay, love that!”

About: Pet owner and lover for 30+ years. My husband and I have spent the last few years pet sitting across the country. We have taken care of dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and geckos. We have settled down in Savannah and would love to continue spoiling and loving on fur babies. We have a fenced in yard and I walk a couple miles every day and would love a four-legged companion to walk with me. Pets are allowed on our furniture and can sleep where they choose! My husband and I are both retired so our schedule will fit your schedule. Both of us are home most days and are rarely both gone. We have a fenced yard and walk a few miles a day. I would love to walk your pet as often as needed. Our home is a one story ranch and will be easy for your pet to get around.
“Martina and David and their 2 pups took excellent care of our sweet boy! He fit right in and was a part of their family! Sent pics and updates which were much appreciated! Thank you! Can't wait to return to paradise! ❤️”

“We usually wait a few days before leaving a review to see how our dog settles back in, as her behavior at home is the true test of her experience. Since we are new to the area and had a rocky experience with Rover in the past, we were a bit nervous—but Carl was fantastic. He was incredibly diligent with her medical schedule, asking thoughtful questions to ensure everything was handled correctly. The frequent video and text updates really put us at ease. Our girl came home happy and acting like her usual self. Thank you, Carl, for taking such wonderful care of her!”

About: I have worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years and have been petsitting for even longer than that! I have experience working with some furry friends who need a little bit of assistance (bladder and bowel expression, wheelchairs, special feeding and medication administration) I love all species and understand the different temperaments and attitudes that come with each animal. My house is set up to accommodate the shyest of dogs to the most hyper energetic ones. We have a large fenced in yard to run around in, a comfy couch to snuggle up on, lots of toys to share and a special room in case they need space to decompress. I am certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support so your animal will be cared for and taken care of in every aspect :) I am currently a stay at home mom with my two year old son who loves animals just as much as I do! We go for multiple walks a day or we’re playing outside in the backyard. If we leave the house it isn’t for more than 2 hours at a time. I am trained in animal handling and animal safety. Your pets safety and happiness are my main concerns. I am willing to work with whatever your pet is comfortable with and can even help with tips and tricks to make them feel a little more comfortable when their humans are away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
