“I almost don’t want to say how great Karen was for Fear that she’ll get so many bookings and we won’t be able to use her in the future. She was wonderful. Brandy had a great time and we look forward to going back.”

“I can’t say enough good things about our experience! Oliver is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice a day, so leaving him with someone new can be a little nerve-racking. Her previous experience as a vet tech gave us tremendous peace of mind—and ended up being especially important during his stay. Oliver decided he didn’t want to eat while we were gone, which can make managing his insulin tricky. She knew how to navigate the situation, kept a close eye on him, and even cooked chicken for him to try to entice him to eat. I was so grateful knowing he was with someone who understood his medical needs and truly cared about his well-being. She kept me updated throughout our trip, sent pictures, and let me know how he was doing, which allowed me to relax and enjoy being away without constantly worrying about him. Oliver was very well cared for, and I would absolutely trust her with him again. I’m so thankful we found someone who is not only dependable and caring, but also has the experience to handle a dog with special medical needs. Highly recommend!”

“We are so grateful for Gabriela. It was the first time Molly was left with someone we didn’t know but she put our minds completely at ease upon meeting her .Molly had a great week with lots of attention. We received daily reports and plenty of photos. Molly loved the big yard and hanging out on the porch.”

“Megan and her family were great. They treated my dog very well. Even when I had to stay for an extra day on my trip, they cooked for my dog and fed him. I recommend Megan. She is great!”

“Tanya was very quick to respond to our request for a stay and made everything very easy to transact. She did a great job welcoming our dog into her home and sending us pictures throughout the day.”

“Thank you Destiny for always taking such good care of Beaumont. Destiny, Gili and Beaumont always have a 5 star time together. I feel so reassured knowing I can trust to leave Beau Beau with them while I’m gone on work trips/travelling. Highly recommend Destiny!!”

About: I used to help out a family friend with her dog sitting business, and have experience with taking care of all types of dogs. From little to small, cats or dogs I am very adaptable to what each pet needs. I'm a caring person and I would go out of my way to make sure a dog is happy. I pride myself on being reliable and punctual while updating pet parents with photos and reports after every visit. I treat your pets and your home with the utmost care and respect. Growing up I have had a dog with three legs, so I have learned how to take care of dogs that may need extra care and I love to figure out how to make a pet feel comfortable and safe, as well as have fun. I have experience with training puppies, as well as taking care of older pets that may need medications. I’m happy to provide walks to play sessions, as well as watering plants or taking in mail to ensure your home is secure while you’re away. Im currently working close to full time, but I have flexible hours to fit the needs of when to stop by to take care of your pets. It’s healthcare so my schedule tends to change quite often and sometimes I end up with days off during the week. I can do morning or night visits, as well as day ones during the weekend. I do have a dog of my own so my ability to stay overnight can vary but I’m always willing to board a dog that is friendly. I can easily help with crating your dog if that is needed, I crate my dog that I have at home. I’m willing to go out of my way to make your dog comfortable with me and will take the time to ensure trust. I am willing to take your pet for a long walk or spend time with them to make them feel less lonely.
“Edra was such a blessing of a find. I was very nervous to have to leave my dog with a stranger while vacationing in Hilton Head. I chose Edra because of her reviews and the calm environment and attention she is able to provide. She showed so much genuine care to my dog, and also to me as I was very nervous. She sent so many photo updates throughout the stay, and was always quick to reply. She stuck to my dog’s schedule and was more than accommodating with her. I could tell from the drop off as well as the photo updates that she was comfortable and well taken care of. I wish Edra lived closer to me so I could use her any time I go out of town and need a dog sitter, but I will definitely reach back out any time I am going back to Hilton Head. 10/10 she is so great! I highly recommend Edra to care for your pet.”

“Frank was great! This was the first time we had our dog boarded and he was still relatively new to us from the pound so we were not 100% sure how he would do, but Frank took excellent care of him and our dog came back happy and tired! Frank made a point to text us with a little update every day and was sure to be on top of minor incidents that occurred so we were always up to date. We had a pretty strict regimen for our dog plus some medication that needed to be given and everything was done how we always do it! We will definitely be using Frank again!”

“Emily took care of my precious toy poodle boys for a week in April this year. I was a bit nervous leaving them as they are with me almost all the time. I needn’t have worried. I got pics and updates constantly and I was able to go over and take them for a walk one night while they were there too. Emily and her mom Mary even went so far as to feed them by hand when they were concerned about them eating enough. My little guy Waldo had a huge crush on Emily and might have been a bit sad to go home haha. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She’s the best!!!”

“Madison watched Ranger during our stay in Hilton Head and he had a blast playing during his stay. She kept us up to date with pictures and he came home a tired, happy pup.”

“I didn’t know what to expect with my two dogs first Rover experience. Thank you Kim for going above and beyond to keep them entertained, comfortable and well cared for! So happy with the experience!”

“We fee so lucky to have found Shana on Rover. She took such great care of Dora, our senior dog. Dora has some cognitive dysfunction and has special needs, so we were very nervous about finding someone to watch her. Shortly after meeting Shana, we knew Dora would be in good hands. I can’t imagine anyone caring for her as well as Shana did. We highly recommend Shana and would definitely use her services again without hesitation.”

“John and Miriam were as professional as it gets. They treated my dog Zeus as if he were their own puppy. We received updates and check ins throughout his stay and we felt extremely comfortable with our dogs care with them. Zeus returned to us happy and refreshed. Thank you again!”

“Martina did an AMAZING job looking after our dog, Wendy. She was incredibly informative, always keeping us updated with Wendy’s activities and well-being. We could tell Wendy felt right at home and incredibly comfortable, reassuring us that she was in the best hands possible with Martina. Her kindness and genuine care were evident in every interaction we had with her. She is truly a dog lover and made sure Wendy felt right at home! We knew Wendy was not only in safe hands, but also in the company of someone who truly cares. We’re so grateful for Martina and will definitely be rebooking with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beaufort
Erin and her family were marvelous! She came through for me at the last minute the first time for a five day stretch with my 15 year old dog. This time it was three days and he was just as happy as the first. He was well loved, fed, walked , and catered to, as I spoil him, and so did she. I don’t go often but when I do, I will make sure to take my boy back to her!!!! Thank you.

Caroline was awesome to work with! She took great care of our dog at her place for a 5-night trip. She was super responsive, which made it easy for us to set everything up, as well as while we were gone. She was very receptive to whatever we wanted for our dog and sent us updates and photos every day. She clearly loves dogs and ours had such a great time with her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
