“I very highly recommend going with Bill for your Rover needs. Incredibly easy to work with, provided an ideal amount of communication/updates on our pup. I have an energetic goldendoodle and he was returned to us very happy + worn out from his stay. I’ll reach out to Bill next time we need a Rover!”

“We are so happy we found Alexandra on Rover. She was conveniently located close to us. Maya absolutely enjoyed herself during the stay with her and her family. Daily updates and pics were sent. Alexandra treated Maya as if she was part of her family. We are so happy with our choice, strongly recommend her to other families in the area and will definitely re book with her in the future! Thank you for taking such care of our fur baby.”

“Julie was AMAZING! She went absolutely above and beyond while she watched our little bulldog while we were getting married locally. She even dropped her off the day of for photos! She was great with communication and sent us pictures through out the stay. Her kids and dogs were so sweet with our dog as well. Would recommend her to anyone!!”

“Tanya and her husband are true animal lovers. They took in our energetic adolescent Aussiedoodle for 1 week, and at the end of our trip, he was happy, healthy, clean, and loving. He can be quiet the handful, and they supported him with love and grace. I’m very grateful, and highly recommend Tanya.”

“I have never felt more comfortable leaving my fur babies with anyone like I am with Karen. To say she is amazing is an understatement! She cares and loves my pups like they’re her own. She thinks of everything and genuinely wants to make your dogs stay the best it can be. I love getting pictures and daily updates. You never have to wonder how your pup is doing because she is always updating you so your mind is at ease. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Karen! :)”

“Gabriela was wonderful! She was great at communicating, and sent lots of updates, including photos! Roxy seemed to be very happy! I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“First time boarding our 6 year old Havanese. She has only stayed with a family member. Leaving Lexie with Emily and her mother Mary was like leaving her with family. They asked all the questions about Lexies likes and dislikes and routines. Emily sent pictures and updates throughout the 3 days In Hilton Head.. Home is beautiful, pet friendly and Bella their dog was welcoming to Lexie.”

“Edra was excellent with our pups! We have a 12 year old Spaniel and a 6 year old Frenchie. Both are spoiled and get anxious in traditional kennels. Edra boarded them and treated them like her own. We definitely recommend her.”

About: I used to help out a family friend with her dog sitting business, and have experience with taking care of all types of dogs. From little to small, cats or dogs I am very adaptable to what each pet needs. I'm a caring person and I would go out of my way to make sure a dog is happy. I pride myself on being reliable and punctual while updating pet parents with photos and reports after every visit. I treat your pets and your home with the utmost care and respect. Growing up I have had a dog with three legs, so I have learned how to take care of dogs that may need extra care and I love to figure out how to make a pet feel comfortable and safe, as well as have fun. I have experience with training puppies, as well as taking care of older pets that may need medications. I’m happy to provide walks to play sessions, as well as watering plants or taking in mail to ensure your home is secure while you’re away. Im currently working close to full time, but I have flexible hours to fit the needs of when to stop by to take care of your pets. It’s healthcare so my schedule tends to change quite often and sometimes I end up with days off during the week. I can do morning or night visits, as well as day ones during the weekend. I do have a dog of my own so my ability to stay overnight can vary but I’m always willing to board a dog that is friendly. I can easily help with crating your dog if that is needed, I crate my dog that I have at home. I’m willing to go out of my way to make your dog comfortable with me and will take the time to ensure trust. I am willing to take your pet for a long walk or spend time with them to make them feel less lonely.

About: I have been dog sitting for over 5 years, and have worked in a dog daycare/boarding facility. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs! I currently work part time which will give me ample time to take care of your pup! I do have a kitten in home but he has been around dogs before so he is comfortable around other animals! I live in an apartment but I can do frequent leash let outs. We are in a great neighborhood with sidewalks and space to go on walks.
“Martina and David and their 2 pups took excellent care of our sweet boy! He fit right in and was a part of their family! Sent pics and updates which were much appreciated! Thank you! Can't wait to return to paradise! ❤️”

“Natasha and Kirk were SO good with my very active dog, Cooper. They sent me pictures and videos to keep me updated. Cooper loved playing with their dog, Lucky. They treated my boy as if he was their own. He felt comfortable the second he got there. I HIGHLY recommend them for watching your pup while you are away and I’ll definitely be using them in the future!”

“Frank was great! This was the first time we had our dog boarded and he was still relatively new to us from the pound so we were not 100% sure how he would do, but Frank took excellent care of him and our dog came back happy and tired! Frank made a point to text us with a little update every day and was sure to be on top of minor incidents that occurred so we were always up to date. We had a pretty strict regimen for our dog plus some medication that needed to be given and everything was done how we always do it! We will definitely be using Frank again!”

“I had the most fantastic experience with my dog's sitter! John and his wife were incredibly caring, attentive, and responsible. My fur baby was treated like a member of their own family. I received daily updates, videos and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. What made the experience even more special was that they offered grooming services, which he desperately needed. This added convenience was a huge bonus. His before and after pictures are incredible! I can't recommend them enough, and I'll definitely be booking their services again in the future. Thank you for taking such great care of my four-legged baby!”

“Kim was amazing with our dog, Miley. When we dropped Miley off, Kim asked a lot of questions to be sure she understood our dog’s personality preferences, etc. She sent us pictures of Miley and texted us messages with updates during the week. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beaufort
Erin and her family were marvelous! She came through for me at the last minute the first time for a five day stretch with my 15 year old dog. This time it was three days and he was just as happy as the first. He was well loved, fed, walked , and catered to, as I spoil him, and so did she. I don’t go often but when I do, I will make sure to take my boy back to her!!!! Thank you.

Caroline was awesome to work with! She took great care of our dog at her place for a 5-night trip. She was super responsive, which made it easy for us to set everything up, as well as while we were gone. She was very receptive to whatever we wanted for our dog and sent us updates and photos every day. She clearly loves dogs and ours had such a great time with her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
