About: I used to help out a family friend with her dog sitting business, and have experience with taking care of all types of dogs. From little to small, cats or dogs I am very adaptable to what each pet needs. I'm a caring person and I would go out of my way to make sure a dog is happy. I pride myself on being reliable and punctual while updating pet parents with photos and reports after every visit. I treat your pets and your home with the utmost care and respect. Growing up I have had a dog with three legs, so I have learned how to take care of dogs that may need extra care and I love to figure out how to make a pet feel comfortable and safe, as well as have fun. I have experience with training puppies, as well as taking care of older pets that may need medications. I’m happy to provide walks to play sessions, as well as watering plants or taking in mail to ensure your home is secure while you’re away. Im currently working close to full time, but I have flexible hours to fit the needs of when to stop by to take care of your pets. It’s healthcare so my schedule tends to change quite often and sometimes I end up with days off during the week. I can do morning or night visits, as well as day ones during the weekend. I do have a dog of my own so my ability to stay overnight can vary but I’m always willing to board a dog that is friendly. I can easily help with crating your dog if that is needed, I crate my dog that I have at home. I’m willing to go out of my way to make your dog comfortable with me and will take the time to ensure trust. I am willing to take your pet for a long walk or spend time with them to make them feel less lonely.
“Blue always loves her time with destiny and gill and we love the daily picture updates! Blue always comes home so happy and tuckered out, you can tell she had fun and got lots of love while we were away!”

“Greer was an amazing and accommodating sitter. This was my first time leaving my pup overnight on Rover. She gave me great updates and pictures. My dog was so comfortable and happy in her home. The love she showed Dulce gave me peace of mind. I would absolutely book again and recommend her to everyone!”

“Elizabeth was an amazing Rover! I met with her beforehand and introduced my dog to hers. During the overnight stay, she sent us updates on our dog throughout. I knew our dog was happy and safe the entire time. Highly recommend having your pets stay with Elizabeth!”

“Julie was great! She was very responsive and accommodating. My dog seemed to have a lot of fun with Julie and her family. She periodically sent photos and updates regarding how my dog was doing. She was accommodating when my flight got delayed, and Django had to stay another night. I look forward to another stay with Julie.”

“We couldn’t be more happy with our experience with Alexandra! Our sweet dog had two awful experiences at two separate boarders so we decided to try Rover. Alexandra exceeded our expectations! We got daily photos and updates on how our dog was doing. She welcomed her into her home as family! She was taken on many many walks and got snuggles and pets by all of her family members. We are so grateful! Our dog is very shy and she even warmed up quickly to Alexandra and her family. High highly highly recommend booking with Alexandra! You’re sweet pup will feel so loved and have a great time!!”

“Erin and her family were marvelous! She came through for me at the last minute the first time for a five day stretch with my 15 year old dog. This time it was three days and he was just as happy as the first. He was well loved, fed, walked , and catered to, as I spoil him, and so did she. I don’t go often but when I do, I will make sure to take my boy back to her!!!! Thank you.”

“John opened up his home for our previous pup for the first time last week. He and his family (including their 2 Pups) were responsive to her care. We received daily updates, pictures and videos showing how comfortable she was with their love and care. Their dogs readily accepted her and played and cuddled together. We will use John again and recommend him without reservation!”

About: I have had a blue nosed pitbull since I was 8 years old. As many dog owners know pitbulls are very hard to train and take care of. My dog is extremely well trained and is the calmest pitbull I have ever met. Growing up I have been surrounded by many pets and animals in general including mainly ducks, fish, turtles and cats. Animals are my pride and joy and I will always love spending time with them!! I currently work part-time as an esthetician, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I’m happy to dedicate my free time to giving pets the attention and care they deserve!! I follow a consistent routine to ensure pets receive the care, structure, and attention they need. My own dog is fed and walked every morning at 7:00 a.m. and every afternoon at 3:00 p.m., which helps maintain her health and a consistent daily schedule. I always make sure she has access to fresh water and pay close attention to her cues when she needs to go outside or needs anything else. I have experience caring for a large, strong pit bull, so I am comfortable handling bigger dogs on walks and can confidently manage them on a leash. My dog was born with nerve damage, so I also have experience adapting care to meet a pet’s individual needs. I encourage safe, appropriate play and exercise to keep her active and healthy while always prioritizing her comfort and well-being. I would provide every pet in my care with the same level of patience, attention, and personalized care.
“Frank was great! This was the first time we had our dog boarded and he was still relatively new to us from the pound so we were not 100% sure how he would do, but Frank took excellent care of him and our dog came back happy and tired! Frank made a point to text us with a little update every day and was sure to be on top of minor incidents that occurred so we were always up to date. We had a pretty strict regimen for our dog plus some medication that needed to be given and everything was done how we always do it! We will definitely be using Frank again!”

“Natasha is AMAZING!!! We had a last minute conflict and needed someone on short notice. She obliged and set up a meet and greet for our boy. I know 110% that he couldn’t have been in better care. He was comfortable and felt safe and it was most certainly evident through the pictures sent to us. Her and her husband were very attentive and caring and it’s very comforting to know that our boy has a new home away from home❤️ Our boy loved being taken care with her.”

“Martina did an AMAZING job looking after our dog, Wendy. She was incredibly informative, always keeping us updated with Wendy’s activities and well-being. We could tell Wendy felt right at home and incredibly comfortable, reassuring us that she was in the best hands possible with Martina. Her kindness and genuine care were evident in every interaction we had with her. She is truly a dog lover and made sure Wendy felt right at home! We knew Wendy was not only in safe hands, but also in the company of someone who truly cares. We’re so grateful for Martina and will definitely be rebooking with her again!”

About: I have always had a pet in my life, and I love animals! I haven't met a dog or cat that I haven't hit it off with, and I would love the opportunity to get to know your fur baby :) My dog is definitely quirky and a bit of scaredy cat, so I know what it's like to be worried to leave your dog with someone! People tell me I have a calming presence, and so far it has helped with initial pet anxiety! I want to make sure you have peace of mind when you're away and that your baby has a great day :) Thank you for considering me! I am a dog mom to a chill border collie and a sassy cocker spaniel. By day, I am a romantic comedy author and a graphic designer, so my schedule is flexible and I’d love to spend some time with your fur baby/babies 🐶 My cocker spaniel would appreciate it too. lol. I want to work with you to make sure your pet is given the best possible care! I work from home so I am happy to come to you or share my home with your fur baby :) I will do everything possible so that your pet is comfortable and feels safe in their environment. Let me know what your baby enjoys and what makes them feel most at home! My dog is a bit of a scaredy cat, so I know how hard it can be with strangers and I have a lot of patience from my experience as a teacher. Caroline was awesome to work with! She took great care of our dog at her place for a 5-night trip. She was super responsive, which made it easy for us to set everything up, as well as while we were gone. She was very receptive to whatever we wanted for our dog and sent us updates and photos every day. She clearly loves dogs and ours had such a great time with her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
