“Clare did a fantastic job as always! I’m so glad my rather shy kitties trust her enough to come out or to at least take his food from her. I appreciate the communication and daily updates 🐈⬛”

“Hannah was extremely reliable and spent a good amount of time with our fur babies. When we arrived home they were happy and healthy. She also went above and beyond to make sure the pet dishes and areas were clean. We would definitely use Hannah again!”

“Sarabeth has been incredible to our pup! She’s walked our pup consistently over the past year multiple times a week and she’s super reliable! My pup loves her and gets so excited to see her for her walk! We’re sad to see her go as we trusted her greatly taking care of our pup when we needed.”

“Allison was very thoughtful, kind, and thorough with learning about our dogs and their specific needs. She came to meet the dogs first and they loved her. She was great either way communication and following instructions. Will definitely use Allison again!”

“Olivia was great as always to my doggy!! My princess loves hanging out with Olivia and Olivia takes the cutest pics of my dog during her visit. I appreciate her speedy replies and accommodating my dog’s needs. Very professional and kind.”

“Stephanie is truly a godsend. Both my cats are seniors, and need a little extra attention. She is so attentive, always offering to go above and beyond, giving me such detailed reports on them when I’m away. It puts my mind at ease knowing that she’s taking care of my most precious little ones. She even reached out to check in on them after it had been a little while since my last trip. She really cares about animals, it shows in all she does.”
“Patty is fantastic! I am super glad she was flexible with my last minute military schedule and was able to drop in and spend time with my dog Bella, take her for walks and feed her while I was gone. Highly recommend for any future bookings!!”

About: I have over 25 years experience taking care of all breeds of dogs, cats, lizards, fish and just about anything else you can think of. Whether you have a senior or special needs fur baby, one with a lot of extra energy or if you'd just like your fur-kid to have some extra attention while you're at work or away, I'm open to whatever their needs are and taking care of them. I am self employed so I make my own schedule. Therefore I'm available to work around daily walks, play times, feedings or whatever is needed. I am open to doing whatever you recommend when staying in your home. I find it's easier on them when very little changes while you're gone, so I like to keep their routine as close to normal as possible.

About: I’ve taken in two dogs from the shelter and trained both of them myself. I focus on giving each dog personalized care based on their personality and needs. I’m good with puppies and older dogs, since I have both. If a dog likes a slower pace, I’ll pay extra attention to that and slow down for them. I am currently home every day throughout the week, so I am able to fit your pets into whatever schedule you may need. I can come by and let dogs out multiple times a day or just stop by for a walk. I’m also able to watch your pup for days at a time if needed. I have a fenced-in yard and two dogs that get along very well with dogs of any size. They are both male, under 55 pounds, and neutered. I’m also able to crate your dog if needed, and I have a decently large crate available.
About: I have owned and cared for all sizes of dogs through my lifetime. Every one is cared for like they are my family and so will yours. I also have experience with training and grooming services. I have cared for xl breeds and itty bitty breeds and ages from newborn to 16yrs old or so. My 1st job was working at boarding and grooming kennel that also bred Golden Retrievers. I worked there through College years. I currently work 2 part time jobs but I will do the best to accommodate your needs and your pets. I will do my best to satisfy. I’m offering only care in your home at this time. One of my current dogs is selective on sharing his home with most other dogs.
About: As children, my partner and I had a hamster, a cats and dogs. While raising our children, we had a ball python, cats and a freshwater fish aquarium. When our kids left for college we welcomed housemates who had dogs so we could enjoy them ourselves. Fuzzy pets love us and we're happy to share tips and tricks for winning pets' adoration. We love travel that petsitting and remote work accommodates. Location, location, location: Currently we are in Beaufort, SC and we return home to Oak Park in June 29th available anywhere at that time. My partner, Ralph and I work for ourselves remotely. This gives us endless possibilities for travelling to give pet care and for taking breaks when dogs need to get outside. We generally walk a lot. On dog walks, we appreciate dogs who lead the way and give us tours of their favorite parts of your neighborhood. For us, petting pets is a welcome diversion from looking at screens and tapping on keyboards. Because there are two of us on our pet sitting team, the time that your pets are home alone is minimized. At night we enjoy staying home to cook, play board games. We prefer to curl up to a film on a couch with a cats or dogs than to go to a theater any night! Our Home: We’re not currently accepting pets at our home until September. Clients' Homes: We learn the pet's schedule ahead of time providing walks, feedings, relief breaks, medication and a cozy time of cuddles. We send at least one photo from each visit. If we are staying at your home with your pet, we are happy to fetch mail and packages, water plants and provide a very deep cleaning before we leave.
“Katarina is awesome 👍🏼 she was able to come when I had a last minute engagement. My dog Ruby loves her and the walks she takes her on. Katarina is very respectful of my property and takes very good care of my best friend. Definitely my go to when ever I need a dog sitter.”

“Emma was awesome to my cat by ensuring he was taken care of when I was on vacation. She is super friendly and very responsible and as a bonus she even watered my plant outside. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will be using her again on a future visit.”

“Steph deserves 10 stars! She is an amazing sitter who will treat your pets as if they're her own. We had a pet sitting emergency and contacted Steph to see if she could help. She went above and beyond with our pups, making sure all was OK and offering to stay even longer to be sure they were well. She even followed up after the visit to ask about our dog who had been sick. I'd trust Steph with our pups without hesitation!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
