“I highly recommend Alexandria! She provided excellent care to my six month old French bulldog. She provided pictures and updates of his daily activities to put my mind at ease as I’m a new dog mom. She was courteous, professional, and warm and endearing. She even provided me pics of my dog on a daily . I will definitely use Alexandria again.”

About: I’ve taken in two dogs from the shelter and trained both of them myself. I focus on giving each dog personalized care based on their personality and needs. I’m good with puppies and older dogs, since I have both. If a dog likes a slower pace, I’ll pay extra attention to that and slow down for them. I am currently home every day throughout the week, so I am able to fit your pets into whatever schedule you may need. I can come by and let dogs out multiple times a day or just stop by for a walk. I’m also able to watch your pup for days at a time if needed. I have a fenced-in yard and two dogs that get along very well with dogs of any size. They are both male, under 55 pounds, and neutered. I’m also able to crate your dog if needed, and I have a decently large crate available.

“Emily is wonderful! Her love for animals extended immediately to our dog, she cared for our dog as her own! You can always tell when picking up your dog if they are anxious to leave, and our dog definitely wasnt...she was as much at home with Emily as she is with us. Thank you, Emily, for being you! We will see you again...and again...”
“The pups were well cared for and we really appreciated Abigail’s flexibility on drop off and pickup times. She was great about communicating with us while we were away, and our dogs seemed at home with her.”

“I chose Edra to watch Ollie because every single review she had was perfect, and that’s exactly the experience Ollie got when he stayed with her during my work trip - perfect! She’s very sweet, made Ollie feel at home, and catered to his quirks and needs just like I would have at home. I highly recommend Edra to watch your dog and will absolutely call on her again in the future!”

“Sarah was very accommodating to my last minute care need. My girl is very anxious around other people but she was comfortable around Sarah from the first meeting. My girl enjoyed her day and I would definitely recommend Sarah to care for your fury babies!”

“Tanya was very quick to respond to our request for a stay and made everything very easy to transact. She did a great job welcoming our dog into her home and sending us pictures throughout the day.”

“Julie is always flexible and accommodating to our travel plans and we are very grateful for that! Stewie seems to love her home and yard and is always in a happy mood when we pick him up. Thank you!”

“Carson was incredibly flexible and so helpful in finding us a last minute person for our dog Ollie. Great communication and so sweet. Recommend 100%. We are actually boarding with Carson again this upcoming weekend!”

About: I used to help out a family friend with her dog sitting business, and have experience with taking care of all types of dogs. From little to small, cats or dogs I am very adaptable to what each pet needs. I'm a caring person and I would go out of my way to make sure a dog is happy. I pride myself on being reliable and punctual while updating pet parents with photos and reports after every visit. I treat your pets and your home with the utmost care and respect. Growing up I have had a dog with three legs, so I have learned how to take care of dogs that may need extra care and I love to figure out how to make a pet feel comfortable and safe, as well as have fun. I have experience with training puppies, as well as taking care of older pets that may need medications. I’m happy to provide walks to play sessions, as well as watering plants or taking in mail to ensure your home is secure while you’re away. Im currently working close to full time, but I have flexible hours to fit the needs of when to stop by to take care of your pets. It’s healthcare so my schedule tends to change quite often and sometimes I end up with days off during the week. I can do morning or night visits, as well as day ones during the weekend. I do have a dog of my own so my ability to stay overnight can vary but I’m always willing to board a dog that is friendly. I can easily help with crating your dog if that is needed, I crate my dog that I have at home. I’m willing to go out of my way to make your dog comfortable with me and will take the time to ensure trust. I am willing to take your pet for a long walk or spend time with them to make them feel less lonely.
“Madison and her husband took good care of Oscar who is a Service Animal and most likely was not easy to handle because of his work "subject" was "separated from him....THANK YOU again...”

“I’m very happy with this service and was great to have her watch my dog while I was away. She was great with him and I felt very comfortable having my dog with her! Thank you Maya and will def call her next time!”

About: I have been a pet owner my whole life as well as an animal lover! I have volunteered at shelters as well as adopted 2 rescue dogs. I have really been around every breed and behavior. I’m available most weekends with open availability. My schedule is fairly flexible during the week and make it open if need be for your convenience. I have had a 70lb dog and currently have a 56lb dog. I’m good with harnesses and leashes for all size dogs! I also have had multiple dogs on daily medication so very well versed in giving medication too.
“John did an amazing job dog sitting my two dogs! From the moment we met, he was warm, reliable, and clearly great with animals. He took the time to get to know each of their personalities and routines, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. He sent regular updates and photos, which I really appreciated, and it was clear my dogs were happy and cared for.”

“This was the first time we gave our Archie up in our new location. We were very apprehensive however Genia was awesome. Archie seem to feel right at home with her and her dogs, so much so, I think our dog is suffering from doggy depression (joke) since he is again at home. Genia updated us daily on his progress and his well being, which eased our separation anxiety while away in Europe. Highly recommended and will used by us again in the future.”

About: I have had dogs from puppyhood through seniors. I will love your fur baby like my own! Whether they need gentle care or to burn off some energy, I’ll be there on time and with a hug for them. I work during the middle of the day but I am available early morning or after 5:30 PM. My time is very flexible on the weekends. When I come to your home, I will leave a note with how the visit went. I can also text you pictures if requested. Your home will be treated with respect.
“Natasha and Kirk were SO good with my very active dog, Cooper. They sent me pictures and videos to keep me updated. Cooper loved playing with their dog, Lucky. They treated my boy as if he was their own. He felt comfortable the second he got there. I HIGHLY recommend them for watching your pup while you are away and I’ll definitely be using them in the future!”

“Martina and David and their 2 pups took excellent care of our sweet boy! He fit right in and was a part of their family! Sent pics and updates which were much appreciated! Thank you! Can't wait to return to paradise! ❤️”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
