I have been a dog owner in the past. More recently, I’ve fostered and re-homed over 30 shelter dogs and have dog-sat for family, neighbors and friends. I have cared for many types of dogs from puppyhood to senior dogs and some dogs had special needs. I currently do not have any pets of my own and would enjoy spending time with dogs and giving them the attention they need or just play time or belly rubs. I enjoy walking, playing with and brushing them out to make them feel pampered too. Most dogs I’ve met enjoy cuddling up on the sofa with a blanket and napping as I watch a movie. I’m typically home full time and am very flexible with scheduling as I’ve been a dog owner and I know how life can be busy and unpredictable.

Karen is the BEST! Our King Charles Spaniel, Sophie, loves staying with her. We actually change our vacation dates so that Karen can keep her!! She's THAT GOOD!! Karen takes her for walks and bike rides, goes to the beach and plays with her. Sophie knows right where the bikes are and ran downstairs to show Karen it was time to go out and enjoy the beach. Sophie is very social and loved all the attention Karen gave her. She was brushed and Sophie's things were together and ready when we came to get her.
Pretty amazing actually. We needed to go out of town for the days unexpectedly and because it was the Memorial Day weekend could not get hold of the kennel wee planned to use. So we ended up with Karen (and Ray) who were amazing. I was a not worried that our dog would not want to come home, but 11 years of us paid off. Karen is great and we will use her often.
Was very happy to learn that Karen was still part of Rover. We used her twice last year when visiting Hilton Head and needed someone to watch Brandy during this trip. She is wonderful when caring Brandy. Lots of attention, toys, treats, walks and best of all -- photos! It's great to know that Karen continues to be there for us when we need her. Will definitely be using her again when we need quality care for our fur-baby.
Karen is the absolute best! I think if Tucker could talk he’d like to go back there for her excellent care, love, and pampering. She sent us the cutest photos all through the stay, she really captured his ridiculous personality. Thank you Karen and Ray!
Karen and Ray are amazing! We have a picky, difficult dog and they love him. He loves them! When we drop him off he runs in the house without a second glance. They send so many photos, feed and cuddle and walk and spoil him. Our biggest worry about travel is who will take care of Tucker, but with Karen and Ray it's not a worry. If anything, we have to work harder to live up to their level of care--they brought water to him so he didn't have to leave the couch :-)
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!! Karen was so attentive and kept me updated with pictures and messages the whole time, which gave me total peace of mind. Most importantly, she made Dash feel right at home. You can tell she genuinely cares.
