“Austin did a wonderful job watching my baby boy while I was at work. It was a long day and he made sure that he walked him enough. I’m glad my baby boy came home happy. Definitely will have Austin watch him in the future! Thanks again for your hospitality and kindness!!”

“Our Chocolate Lab spent the day with Marston and his 2 pups while we explored Savanna. This is my first experience using Rover and it is intimidating to leave our sweet Charlie with someone we do not know. I read his reviews and was confident I was making the right decision. Once we met him and his dogs I knew Charlie was in good hands. Charlie ran right in to party. He sent pictures of their adventures. Charlie came home exhausted. I highly recommend Marston.”

“Jennifer was our Angel who said YES for our last minute booking while we were in Savannah. Our girls were quite well cared for and very happy doxxies during their time with her. We'll definitely book again with her next time we're in the area. You should, too!!”

“A very friendly and professional sitter I would recommend to anyone. She takes great care of my dog and has been reliable for pick ups when I have to be at work early in the mornings.”

About: I have had all sorts of pets my whole life: Dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, hamsters, turtles, frogs... I know how to listen to each animal's needs! I have trained my dogs and cats, and I take the time to get to know each pet. I currently work part-time from home, so I can keep an eye on the animals wherever and whenever in the house! I can stay up late for the animals or get up early to make sure they are good and comfortable. I live in a safe neighborhood and have a fenced-in yard, perfect for animals to run around in. We have a lot of space in the house and have plenty of cozy spaces for the animals. We keep water out and keep the food safe until needed!
“Amara has been an amazing sitter for my 8 month old golden retriever! We had repeat visits for 2.5 weeks and our pup had the best time with her! She was always communicative, responsible, and gave our boy so much love. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her again. :)”

“Karen was wonderful with our puppy! This was our first time leaving our puppy with anyone but us and she loved it! She sent me pictures throughout the day and made me feel so comfortable leaving our baby with her. I can tell she was loved and cared for, I don’t think Bailey wanted to leave! Karen was awesome and we will definitely use her again!”

“Abby was great with our two Goldens. Maddie didn’t seem to be too crazy about Winston & Rosie, but Abby separated them and everything was fine. She kept me updated throughout their stay and sent lots of pictures. We felt totally at ease knowing our pups were well taken care of while we went sightseeing, etc…”

“Frances and Nicole were both fantastic with our two dogs. They helped us out sort of last minute and were very flexible with our timeframe. They responded quickly, and they made us feel like our dogs were in fantastic hands when we dropped them off. 10/10 would use again!”

“Amanda, thanks for taking care of Roxy! She loved playing with your pup. Thanks for all your detail on how her day was going. Pics were great! We had a great tour of Savannah with no worries. Thank you!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Savannah
My pup LOVED his time with Frankie and Levy! We are so grateful that she agreed to take care of Parker for two days on a short notice. She sent updates throughout the day which was very much appreciated. We are already looking forward to our next trip in Savannah!

Jennifer helped us out at the last minute with our dog Maggie. She was VERY responsive, and she provided updates when I asked for them. Maggie appeared to have a good time with the other pups in the house. If we're ever back in this area and need a dog sitter, we'd use Jennifer again without hesitation! Many thanks to her for taking good care of Maggie, and at the last minute. This was our first time using Rover; it was such a great experience that we plan to use it again.

This was a last-minute trip. We arrived at Tybee Island and, since we had never taken Lalo to the beach, we had no idea that dogs were not allowed. We found ourselves in a tricky situation and didn’t know what we were going to do. However, Alejandra saved our lives when she sent us a message offering to take care of Lalo. Her help was invaluable and allowed us to enjoy our visit without worries.

Austin did a wonderful job watching my baby boy while I was at work. It was a long day and he made sure that he walked him enough. I’m glad my baby boy came home happy. Definitely will have Austin watch him in the future! Thanks again for your hospitality and kindness!!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Savannah commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
