Pet care experience

HappyHounds - animal care

All of my clients from Charleston are begging me to come back, but I'm a Savannah girl now and I'm ready to meet some new pups! I'm a lifelong lover of all animals! I've cared for and owned horses, dogs, rabbits, and reptiles. Unfortunately I'm extremely allergic to cats, or I'd offer to watch those too. I fostered puppies for the Great Dog Rescue of New England. I am very understanding, patient, loving, energetic, and just looking to spend time with animals whenever I can. I’m happy to accommodate special needs pups as well.

My pup LOVED his time with Frankie and Levy! We are so grateful that she agreed to take care of Parker for two days on a short notice. She sent updates throughout the day which was very much appreciated. We are already looking forward to our next trip in Savannah!

Wish I could give Frances more stars. She was there for us at the last minute. We have two dogs. Gladys a 12 yr old beagle. And Rocky a 9 yr old Maltese. Rocky is a rescue a very needy. Frances handled both like a pro. We are so thankful for your Rover app. This allows us to find someone like Frances when we are traveling and want to do some sightseeing and dinner. Frances made all this possible for us. Thank you Frances!!

Amazing! Sent pictures and was very friendly. I have an Australian Shepherd pup and she came back tired and ready for bed. What more can you ask for. :)

Frances was fantastic, can't wait to use her again. She was prompt with responding and meeting up at the time she stated. And most importantly, our senior, 3-legged dog loves her! Can't wait to have Frances care for Luna again!!

Frances and Nicole were both fantastic with our two dogs. They helped us out sort of last minute and were very flexible with our timeframe. They responded quickly, and they made us feel like our dogs were in fantastic hands when we dropped them off. 10/10 would use again!

I’m from out of town but was in Charleston for a wedding. We came down in an RV so we could go camping with our dog later. I left my dog with Frances and Nicole whilst at the wedding and quite honestly could not have asked for better care! They were both so attentive to him and so flexible with my crazy schedule. I have already recommended them to two other people looking for a dog sitter in this area! When I picked Harvey up he was so chilled and didn’t really want to leave which proved to me he had been so well looked after! Thank you again Frances and Nicole and I will be in touch when we next visit Charleston!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced in backyard. I have a pup of my own, who is a spoiled only child but he loves having a companion from time to time (he’ll never admit it though). We love taking walks to Daffin or Forsyth park. I always take proper precautions to feed dogs separately and supervised, and I distribute treats with care. Your dog can make themselves at home in my house, if they are accustomed to crating at night, or require it while unattended, I am happy to accommodate their needs. My dog will accompany me on any overnight stays/housesitting. We do have experience with this in several Sullivan’s Island homes, with excellent references.

Pets

A typical day

There are so many fun walks, parks, and places to explore. When the weather is nice maybe we will head to Forsyth Park, Bonaventure cemetery, or the old dairy for a scenic stroll. Here in the south we love a good front porch, so even during the thunderstorms we get to enjoy our outdoor time.
