“Our Chocolate Lab spent the day with Marston and his 2 pups while we explored Savanna. This is my first experience using Rover and it is intimidating to leave our sweet Charlie with someone we do not know. I read his reviews and was confident I was making the right decision. Once we met him and his dogs I knew Charlie was in good hands. Charlie ran right in to party. He sent pictures of their adventures. Charlie came home exhausted. I highly recommend Marston.”

“Caroline was a great host for my Lola. She was very flexible with pick up and drop off times and kept me updated throughout the day with frequent messages and pictures! Lola came home warn out and slept like a baby! Will use Caroline again!”

“Megan took care of my two dogs for the day. She was great. She responds to messages right away. The dogs looked comfortable when I left them and were tired out from their walk when I picked them up that evening. I would definitely have Megan watch the dogs again if I lived in Savannah.”
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve worked with veterinary offices, volunteered with multiple Humane Societies, and have experience caring for and riding horses, so I understand the patience, responsibility, and love animals need to feel safe and happy. I work from home, which means your pets will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day in a quiet, smoke-free, child-free home. I also have a fenced section of yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. My two friendly dogs absolutely love having visitors and get along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Whether your pet stays with us for boarding or I stop by for drop-in visits, I’ll make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your furry family members, and I’ll treat your babies like they’re my own. We can’t wait to meet them! I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule which means your pets will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. For in home visits, I am dependable with visit times. I know how much peace of mind matters when leaving your pets, and I’ll treat yours like family while you’re gone. Your dog will stay in a quiet, clean, child-free and smoke-free home where their comfort and safety are my top priorities. I have a securely fenced section of yard for supervised outdoor play, potty breaks, and fresh air. My two small dogs are loving, friendly, and enjoy having furry friends visit! Dogs are welcome on the furniture, so they’ll have plenty of cozy spots to relax and feel at home. If your dog is crate-trained or prefers their own space, I’m also happy to crate them as needed for sleeping, feeding, or downtime based on your routine and preferences.

“We were super impressed with Doirbhle, she took great care of Bentley and Roxy for the day! It was the first time leaving our puppy with someone else but Doirbhle sent us an update during the day which put our minds at ease and our pups seemed super happy when we came to pick them up.”

About: Something that sets me apart from other dog sitters is that I am able to take care of multiple kids and animals at the same time. The first job I had I took care of a pitbull, took care of the house, and children all at once. My one main love is animals. I love taking care of them no matter what. I believe they deserve a loving and caring environment when their owners are out and about. I love taking them on walks, playing with them, picking up after them, brushing them, and more! Pet care fits into my daily schedule well. I absolutely would drop anything to take care of an animal. My only conflict is that on Tuesdays and Thursdays I will be taking classes for my college. For me, I always make sure to get the pet some sort of exercise during the day or the period of me being at the house. Such as, playing around or walking. I make sure the pet uses the restroom at least once while I'm there and I always make sure to pick up after them. If they are scheduled to be fed, I will feed them the correct amount of food instructed. Whatever the client asks me to do, I will make sure to do it before I leave after my shift.
“Allyson was very considerate of Pip's fear of stormy weather. She also sent me updates throughout the day which I really appreciated. Thanks again for taking care of my Pip!”

“We had to book with her last minute and her page said at least 24 hour notice. But she responded quickly and watched our dog with no problems. She sent us photos of our boy thru the visit. She is super friendly and 100% recommend.”

“The literal best!! Gradee took our pup Barry last minute for a doggy daycare for a spontaneous trip to Savannah. When we went to pick up Barry he had the biggest smile on his face and a happy wagging tail. Thank you Gradee for caring for our baby!”

“A very friendly and professional sitter I would recommend to anyone. She takes great care of my dog and has been reliable for pick ups when I have to be at work early in the mornings.”

“Amara has been an amazing sitter for my 8 month old golden retriever! We had repeat visits for 2.5 weeks and our pup had the best time with her! She was always communicative, responsible, and gave our boy so much love. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her again. :)”

“Our little Luna has some separation anxiety. Sarah was wonderful with her. She sent photos showing Luna interacting with her own dogs, very comfortable and relaxed. We recommend Sarah for anyone needing a caring and kind dog sitter. We had a lovely day in Savannah with no worries. Thank you Sarah!”

“She is not only a wonderful person but from the moment I saw her, I could tell she was going to be trustworthy. I would highly recommend her to anyone and if I’m ever in the area again I now know who I am leaving my dog with. :)”

“I had to travel to Savannah for work and took my dog so I wanted to find somewhere for her to go during the day while I was working. I’m so glad I found Eric. He took good care of her and she had fun! I would def use Eric again if I am back in Savannah.”

“Molly treated my dog Mia like an absolute queen! My boyfriend and I last minute decided to take a trip to Savannah and needed a sitter for a day. Molly responded quick! She let Mia bathe in her pool and come in and out of the house as she pleased. Would recommend her services!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Isle of Hope commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 282 sitters in Isle of Hope, 94% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
