About: I have over 10 years of experience pet sitting and dog walking. I am comfortable and familiar with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breed due to my time working at a doggy daycare. I grew up around all kinds of animals, and currently have two cats of my own and regularly watch my sisters Great Pyrenees. I know that your pets are important and beloved members of your family, so I promise they will be safe and well taken care of when in my care

About: Military spouse, mom of a little human as well as a cat mom, and just an overall animal lover. I've owned animals all my life & it simply can't be fulfilled without a furry friend by my side. I can feed meals, give medications orally by owner's guidelines, and give all the love your pet could want. Willing to update owners regularly or as about their pets health, feeding, & overall happiness, including video calls! Able to provide overnight stays in my home. Also willing to bathe or groom if necessary. I'm one of those people that would rather be around animals rather than people. I believe animals are uplifting for the soul & can provide just as much happiness & love than any relationship could. I want to provide the most comfortable & fun stay possible so I'm willing to do interviews with owners if needed! I'm currently a stay at home mom who homeschools so I have plenty of time around the house to give your furry friend all the attention he/she might need. In order to keep your pet comfortable and less stressed, we'll try to keep the same schedule they have while at home. Drop ins can be provided once or twice daily for feedings, litter box changes, giving medication, etc Whether your pet is in my home or yours, it will always be treated with respect and as one of my own. I am a cat mom but if your pet isn't fond of other friends, I can provide a secluded room and offer a rotating schedule that way they can have the chance to explore if they want to.

“Katelyn did a great job with Bode. He loves his walks everyday. She was able to help me on a last minute change in my schedule which let me not worry about him on my trip out of town.”

“Lily was great with my cats!!! She was great at communicating with me while I was gone and she followed the schedule we had set perfectly. She gave my cats lots of attention and kept them very happy! I would love to have lily watch my cats again”

About: Growing up my household was always blessed with multiple animals. Some of my best childhood memories revolved around my dogs. I had a German Shepherd, a border collie, a Rottweiler, and a couple of rescue pups. My childhood gave me an appreciation for the intelligence and love that dogs can show. I'll admit large bois hold a special place in my heart but there's room for all sizes! I currently work part-time as a Certified Personal Trainer in fitness. I teach classes early morning and late in the evening. I am available from 10 am - 3 Pm Monday - Friday as a baseline but some weekdays I have no classes so I will have a couple days a week with open availability! I am very active, I have a lots of stamina and strength to keep up with the pups! I am also very health conscious and like to keep things safe.
“Amy went above and beyond! All of our cat’s needs were met and then some. Furthermore, she’s incredibly understanding, kind, and responsible. The photos we received daily were plentiful and adorable too. Couldn’t have chosen a better person for this job while we were away!”

About: I have grown up my entire life with a household full of dogs and cats, so I know what it takes to care for them and bring them happiness. I have a puppy of my own right now and know how particular I can be about certain things, so any special requests or needs will be met by me. I am an advocate for training and can ensure you I will follow your instructions carefully. I love going on walks and am an active person, no better companion than a pup. I give my undivided attention to each pet and will make sure you feel at ease while you are away. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs as well as shelter pets through fostering. I am free on the weekends to help take your pet out on a walk or a visit while you are traveling/busy. I enjoy being outside, why not include a furry friend! I will take them on long, but safe walks and provide a lot of water. If I'm visiting a home, I will be sure to always follow the owner's guidelines and make sure I leave the place better than I found it. Everyone will be happy!
“Ally was wonderful! She took the time to get to know our pets, especially our reactive guy and it was obvious she had experience and knew how to approach and keep an anxious dog calm. All of our pets love her, even our difficult pup!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Isle of Hope. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
