“Sara is amazing-she really cares about our frr babies and treats them like her own. Both of our cats have grown very fond of her and look forward to her visit. Having Sara look after our babies allows us to relax when out of town because they are in such good hands.”

“Super communicative and so easy to work with! Went above and beyond for my old lady baby. As long as he’s available, Cameron is the only one I’d book for future visits.”

About: NOW ACCEPTING DROP IN & WALKING CLIENTS IN THE SAVANNAH GA AREA FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE ONLY. I am a stay at home mom and passionate dog person. I had a senior dog of my own, currently have a puppy, and I've volunteered with my local Humane Society on a consistent basis for over 18 months. I would love to help you out and love on your furry friend while you are at work, or away on vacation. I have been caring for my own dogs and family dogs for 20+ years, and pet sitting for friends and family since 2008. I have extensive experience administering medication to dogs. A previous client of mine had an elderly dog who needed daily insulin shots, and my own dog had to take medicine every day as well. Any questions? Shoot me a message! I'm visiting family in Savannah for the month of June, with flexibility to drop in and walk pups whenever is needed. I can work with your schedule. In the client's home, I am happy to do whatever is needed to make a pup feel comfortable and loved while their family is away. I have had a very picky senior dog, with silly quirks and demands, so I am willing to follow any unique directions for your pooch. I can sit and read with them so they don't feel lonely or we can run around and play. I'm here to make them happy. I know when I'm away from my pets I love to see pictures of them and how they're doing. I miss their little faces! I can send you pictures, videos, whatever you need to make things a little easier while you're away. At this time, I can only accept dogs in my home for care if they are socialized to other dogs, cats, and children.
“We came home to a very happy and healthy dog! Gradee was so great and communicative. Our dog, Ellie, is very shy and Gradee was very patient with her and earned her trust. We def would love to book her again!”

“Amber is very nice and took great care of our Guinness while we were away for the weekend! She has great communication, made sure he got lots of pets, and sent us lots of pictures!”

“Sara is excellent! I have a very cuddly cat who gets a little suicidal when my husband and I re away for long periods of time. She tends to starve herself and hide until we get home. Sara came in and kept her company, did the kitty litter, and played with our baby. We booked hour long visits. Sara went above and beyond! She even brought in our mail ❤️. Shes responsive and overal does an amazing job! We are so grateful and highly recommend Sara! Thank you so much!”

“Katelyn did a great job with Bode. He loves his walks everyday. She was able to help me on a last minute change in my schedule which let me not worry about him on my trip out of town.”

“Amy was terrific with our cat Pesto, great pics which were sent everyday, was communicative, Pesto seemed relaxed especially during his grooming sessions. Would certainly use her services in the future.”

About: I have experience in pet care for 15+ years and currently work for a pet care company in Savannah that I used to manage for! I currently dedicate 100% of my work time to pet care!! Pet care is my full time job and I’m extremely passionate about caring for all kinds of pets!☺️ I am well acquainted with how important timing can be for babies especially those who need to go outside to potty breaks ASAP or have medication needs! I have experience pilling animals and giving injections as needed! I have worked with special needs cats before, and pride myself on befriending even the most difficult babies, though I feel they are only difficult because they need more time to trust people☺️💖
About: I’m taking a break from having pets of my own to help others care for their pets. I had a house full of elderly pets for several years. I’m no stranger to special diets and medications. I live in a one-story home with my husband, who is also an animal lover. We have a large fenced yard. And for elderly pets with mobility issues, we have ramps available to help them get in and out of the house. Dogs of all sizes welcome. I work from home, running my own business, so my schedule is flexible for walks and mid-day check ins. I’m home all day in a pet-free and child-free house. Flea treatment is required! Fleas in Savannah are no joke, so please be sure your dog has been treated before coming to our home. We have a large, fenced yard that’s great for playing fetch. If your dog is up for it, they’ll get a daily walk while staying with me. I’m comfortable following feeding and medication instructions.
“Eli is so wonderful with our shy/fearful girl. He has a very calm presence and Marsi warmed up to him right away. He is so kind and easy to coordinate with and he shares updates with pictures from his visits!”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with difficult breeds, anxious dogs, and intensive medical care. I just recently had to say goodbye to my own dog a few months ago and saw him through many complex medical treatments, which has made me highly attentive, patient, and confident following detailed care routines. I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring mobility or behavioral changes, and adapting care based on each dog’s needs. I truly love dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I always prioritize safety, consistency, and compassion. Pet care used to be apart of my everyday routine and it's something I miss very much. Because I manage my own schedule, I’m able to be flexible while still providing consistent, dependable care. For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on following each pet’s routine as closely as possible. I take time to understand feeding schedules, walking preferences, leash behavior, and any special instructions ahead of time. During visits, I prioritize safety, calm energy, and attentive care, while also checking food, water, litter boxes (if applicable), and the home environment. I always provide updates, photos, and notes so pet parents know how their pet is doing.
“Morgan is such an excellent and caring pet friend! She took amazing care of my cat for five days that I was out of town and was sure to give me detailed updates about all her visits. I was so thrilled to have found such a wonderful, kind, and attentive caretaker for my pet. 11/10 stars!”

“Michelle is an absolutely wonderful person who loves animals. She was great with her visits. Pictures showed my dog was a happy camper with her around. He’s never been left behind at home. He usually boards at a local facility. They were booked for the holidays, so, I went this route. It was a good decision.”

About: I've grown up with two English Labs my entire life, and after I left the house, I stayed around animals, working on two farms with farm dogs that followed me around for all my tasks. I love younger dogs that like to play, but with a 14 year old lab at home, I also know how to take care of an old fella. Available most weeknights and weekends, have a 9-5 but am more than happy to come by before and after work and during lunch to let the dogs out. I look forward to meeting you and the dogs! I have an office job that I'm usually at from 8:30am-4:30pm, but my schedule can be more flexible. I am available to come by during my lunch break to let dogs out or take care of whatever you need me to. My fiance is unfortunately allergic to dogs, but I take care of my Mom's two labs as often as she'll let me! I love to play with a dog, my childhood dog was my best friend to play soccer and anything else with. In your home, I'm always extremely respectful of privacy and understand your wants and needs. I also have farm experience if any yardwork is required for longer stays.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
