Cats and dogs and turtles, oh my!
Hello! I'm Sara and I'm a full time sitter caring for pets in Savannah and surrounding areas. I've been a mom to cats my entire life and grew up always watching the neighbors pets. I am also a mom to a pittie mix and a dalmatian lab mix. In recent years I rediscovered my passion for animals and now spend most of my days caring for peoples pets. I'm happy to help whether you're looking for consistent visits during your work schedule, or a temporary situation while you're on vacation. Please don't hesitate to reach out. I would love to help you with your fur kids! Please read below if you'd like to know more in depth descriptions of my experience and services provided. DOGS: I've been dog walking for about 5 years now. I have experience with quite a range of breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments of dogs. I have experience with young puppies, senior dogs, and dogs who require medication and extra care. Whether they just need a walk, to be let out into the yard, a feeding, play time, or just for extra company..I'm happy to help! For first time clients, I will just want to set up a time to meet you and your dogs prior to the first visit. If your dog is prone to any kind of aggression or is a trained guard dog I will require at least a couple meetups prior to my solo visits with them. CATS: As previously mentioned, I've always owned cats. While I love all animals, cats hold a special place in my heart. I've visited at least 100 different cats in the past few years. For some reason I'm always able to connect with the shy ones. I have experience giving insulin injections, flea meds, using cat inhalers, and other regular medications. I can feed, scoop litter, provide play time, brushing, or just company! I also have experience with cat nail clipping and would be happy to help with that per request if your cat is comfortable being held. OTHER: Additionally I have experience caring for turtles, tortoises, bunnies, parrots, fish, hamsters and more. As long as I'm provided instruction and you show me their routine, I can certainly help with whatever you've got.

Currently I mostly only sit for pets at their owners home for 30-60 minute drop in visits/walks. I will assure to complete all requested tasks. I am not currently accepting overnight stays unless they are 3 days or less

Sara was very responsive and communicative, sending updates and photos with each visit! She was always on time within our preferred window and asked questions when needed. She made sure to play with our cats as well as the required feedings. Our cats are a bit shy to new people, but they warmed up to her due to her patience and kind energy. I would definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!! ❤️
Sara is great! She has watched our cat Edgar many times. Everyday we receive an update with photos and comments on how things are going. Will definitely continue to have her watch him when we are out of town.
I was so glad to have booked Sara! I needed someone last minute and she was quick to respond. I appreciated how she asked if I wanted to meet ahead of time, and was thorough about making sure she had all the information she needed. I appreciated the daily check ins and pictures. I appreciate that she understood that my cat is skittish and on her first visit she didn't try to make my cat come out, but she took the picture of her in the closet! The fact that my cat came out by the third visit made clear how good Sara is with cats. I highly recommend her, especially for those of us with skittish cats! And I could tell how happy my cat was when I got back.

This was my first experience using Rover. I chose Sara because she said she was essentially a cat whisperer and this was the first time I'd be leaving my cat with someone. I did forewarn her about how protective my cat is and the day she came over to meet her and go over everything she pretty much just saw where everything was and then asked about the key and left. I even said that I hoped she would be ok since she didn't get to meet her with me there. That was not the case. I paid for 30 minute time frames and she stayed less than 5 each time. Admittedly I agreed to that because I did not want to risk Sara not showing up to do what I paid her to do. For someone so good with animals she was extremely quick so give up. I left instructions for exactly what to do and still felt the need to make sure she was actually doing what was asked because she arrived and left so quickly each time. I feel that she advertised herself in a less than true way and quite frankly feel that she was extremely overpaid for the services she actually provided.

Schedule
Presently petsitting is my full time job. Most weekdays I am pretty booked from the 11 to 3 but as long as you give me at least a 2 hour window of time I can almost always make it work. I currently have plenty availability mornings or any time after 3.
