“Michelle was a wonderul choice to keep an eye on our cats while we took our vacation. She made sure to follow our given instructions and was overall lovely and professional. Michelle kept us updated every day so I felt very comfortable when I usually tend to worry about leaving pets behind for extended periods. I highly recommended and would use her services again.”

“We came home to a very happy and healthy dog! Gradee was so great and communicative. Our dog, Ellie, is very shy and Gradee was very patient with her and earned her trust. We def would love to book her again!”

“Sara is excellent! I have a very cuddly cat who gets a little suicidal when my husband and I re away for long periods of time. She tends to starve herself and hide until we get home. Sara came in and kept her company, did the kitty litter, and played with our baby. We booked hour long visits. Sara went above and beyond! She even brought in our mail ❤️. Shes responsive and overal does an amazing job! We are so grateful and highly recommend Sara! Thank you so much!”

“We recently lost our Petsitter and are new to Rover. Jamie came by for a meet and greet with our pups. They are both rescues and have their special quirks. Jamie was very patient and did all of the right things to begin gaining the trust of our pups. We are doing periodic drop ins until she stays for a week with them. She is very responsive and adapts on a whim. I sent a message same day to see if she could stop in to see the pups and she was able to drop by with litttle notice. She sent pictures and updated me on her visit! It is hard to trust someone so instantaneously, but we watched and listened to our pups. They love her, as do we!”
“Amber is very nice and took great care of our Guinness while we were away for the weekend! She has great communication, made sure he got lots of pets, and sent us lots of pictures!”

“Amy was great. She went out of her way to take care of our cats and critters. Sent me pictures every day. I will be requesting her services again in the furire if I go away again. Thank you Amy and Happy New Year's 2026!!”

“Katelyn did a great job with Bode. He loves his walks everyday. She was able to help me on a last minute change in my schedule which let me not worry about him on my trip out of town.”

About: NOW ACCEPTING DROP IN & WALKING CLIENTS IN THE SAVANNAH GA AREA FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE ONLY. I am a stay at home mom and passionate dog person. I had a senior dog of my own, currently have a puppy, and I've volunteered with my local Humane Society on a consistent basis for over 18 months. I would love to help you out and love on your furry friend while you are at work, or away on vacation. I have been caring for my own dogs and family dogs for 20+ years, and pet sitting for friends and family since 2008. I have extensive experience administering medication to dogs. A previous client of mine had an elderly dog who needed daily insulin shots, and my own dog had to take medicine every day as well. Any questions? Shoot me a message! I'm visiting family in Savannah for the month of June, with flexibility to drop in and walk pups whenever is needed. I can work with your schedule. In the client's home, I am happy to do whatever is needed to make a pup feel comfortable and loved while their family is away. I have had a very picky senior dog, with silly quirks and demands, so I am willing to follow any unique directions for your pooch. I can sit and read with them so they don't feel lonely or we can run around and play. I'm here to make them happy. I know when I'm away from my pets I love to see pictures of them and how they're doing. I miss their little faces! I can send you pictures, videos, whatever you need to make things a little easier while you're away. At this time, I can only accept dogs in my home for care if they are socialized to other dogs, cats, and children.
“Sarah was absolutely AMAZING!!!! So attentive and communicative. She also is good with sending pictures ( cute ones at that). It’s very evident she cares deeply for not only her own pups but yours as well. I will most definitely be using her again 🥹🫶🏼 Also I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER EVERYONE!!!”

“Sara is amazing-she really cares about our frr babies and treats them like her own. Both of our cats have grown very fond of her and look forward to her visit. Having Sara look after our babies allows us to relax when out of town because they are in such good hands.”

“Super communicative and so easy to work with! Went above and beyond for my old lady baby. As long as he’s available, Cameron is the only one I’d book for future visits.”

“Eli is so wonderful with our shy/fearful girl. He has a very calm presence and Marsi warmed up to him right away. He is so kind and easy to coordinate with and he shares updates with pictures from his visits!”

“Even though he was unable to get in my house because I gave him the wrong key, he still checked on Cooky and Butler to make sure they were safe. Thank you so much for your dedication. I can't wait to schedule you again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs ever since I can remember. And trained my dog from a puppy to now I also take care of cats too. I currently work part-time and I am a senior in high school.I can free on weekends and after 3 on weekdays.I am homeschooled so I can be flexible if you need me too! At home I take my dog Chanel for a walk everyday at least 2 miles.I also believe feeding your dog more than just kibble with some important so I made sure that Chanel has vegetable vegetables, fruits and her vitamins.

About: I have experience in pet care for 15+ years and currently work for a pet care company in Savannah that I used to manage for! I currently dedicate 100% of my work time to pet care!! Pet care is my full time job and I’m extremely passionate about caring for all kinds of pets!☺️ I am well acquainted with how important timing can be for babies especially those who need to go outside to potty breaks ASAP or have medication needs! I have experience pilling animals and giving injections as needed! I have worked with special needs cats before, and pride myself on befriending even the most difficult babies, though I feel they are only difficult because they need more time to trust people☺️💖
“My Daisy’s time with Julia was exceptional! She is truly cares for her four-legged clients and goes above and beyond to make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. She also has two very chill dogs that are there to keep your pet’s company, which was nice for Daisy, who has separation anxiety and her new buddies were a nice distraction. Daisy spent time both at Julia’s and at our nearby home because we were out of town. If you are looking for someone to walk your dog while at work or take good care of them while you’re on vacation, Julia is your gal! Thanks, Julia:)”

About: I've had over 20 years of pet care experience, ranging between several different dog breeds and sizes, cats, rodents, reptiles, and even some bird-sitting. I understand each pet is different in their own way, some needing certain medications or volumes of food and water, and other pets are easier to take care of, but their owners need someone last minute to help watch and take care of their beloved pets. I also know when it comes to more than one pet in the household, some pets can get rowdy with each other and may tend to hurt one other, so I'm used to cleaning up after and treating the occasional bites or scratches they inflict. Having to give medications, give special food, and even seeing blood or recent wounds on animals doesn't stop me from providing the care they need while their owners are away at work or vacation or whatever else life has thrown their way. I've been known to be a reliable petsitter by many friends and family members over the years, and I make sure to follow all needs and specifications for each pet, regardless of their age and their size. At the moment, I am available all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and then on Mondays and Wednesdays I am attending a class from 9:30 AM to 12:30 AM, which anytime before or afterwards I can help walk or watch over pets. While I do not currently offer petsitting at my own home due to my roommates, I understand that every owner's household and every pet is different. I make sure that each of the doors and windows are closed and locked for the pet's safety, unless otherwise specified by the owners. If there are certain rooms or parts of the house off-limits to myself or the pets, I keep us away from those areas for the owner's privacy. And if the pets do tend to make a mess or I use any of the utilities of the home to help clean and take care of the pets, I make sure that everything is turned off and cleaned up afterwards so there are no messes for the owners when they return to their home and beloved pets.
About: I’m taking a break from having pets of my own to help others care for their pets. I had a house full of elderly pets for several years. I’m no stranger to special diets and medications. I live in a one-story home with my husband, who is also an animal lover. We have a large fenced yard. And for elderly pets with mobility issues, we have ramps available to help them get in and out of the house. Dogs of all sizes welcome. I work from home, running my own business, so my schedule is flexible for walks and mid-day check ins. I’m home all day in a pet-free and child-free house. Flea treatment is required! Fleas in Savannah are no joke, so please be sure your dog has been treated before coming to our home. We have a large, fenced yard that’s great for playing fetch. If your dog is up for it, they’ll get a daily walk while staying with me. I’m comfortable following feeding and medication instructions.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Montgomery
Jamie is the best! One of my cats during our vacation started to not feel well. Jamie let me promptly know every visit if my cat had eaten and her overall attitude. I asked if she would make an additional drop in visit to see if she could hand feed my cat that wasn’t feeling well. Jamie was happy to do it and thankfully my cat stated to feel much better. I felt very safe and comfortable leaving my babies in her hands for the weekend. I will definitely being using her again!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
