“Ms. Sara is reliable and she took good care of my cats. She’s very friendly and great at communicating. Thank you for services you provided, definitely will book again in the future.”
“Michelle was an amazing choice for us to watch our pups during a holiday. We have a senior dog who requires extra TLC and the other one is a spitfire and she was able to manage both with no trouble. She sent pics at every visit, as well as a note updating us on our babies. She took such good care of my babies I will definitely use her next time I’m out of town.”

“We recently lost our Petsitter and are new to Rover. Jamie came by for a meet and greet with our pups. They are both rescues and have their special quirks. Jamie was very patient and did all of the right things to begin gaining the trust of our pups. We are doing periodic drop ins until she stays for a week with them. She is very responsive and adapts on a whim. I sent a message same day to see if she could stop in to see the pups and she was able to drop by with litttle notice. She sent pictures and updated me on her visit! It is hard to trust someone so instantaneously, but we watched and listened to our pups. They love her, as do we!”
“Great help looking after our cats! My one silly boy managed to lock himself in the bathroom within a day of us leaving for our trip, so every visit Jerry made sure to check that he could see the cats before he left so there wouldn’t be anymore jailed kitties - thanks again!”

“Chandler was very attentive in taking care of my pup Wallie! She always checked in with me and sent photos. Wallie really seemed to enjoy playing with her, getting belly rubs, and going on walks. I would highly recommend her!”

“Amy was great. She went out of her way to take care of our cats and critters. Sent me pictures every day. I will be requesting her services again in the furire if I go away again. Thank you Amy and Happy New Year's 2026!!”

About: I’ve been petsitting since my teens in order to make a little money. I had 2 dogs while growing up and am now a parent to two cats. I am extremely punctual and organized with feeding times, walks, and communication. I work part time at a restaurant so I will be available in mornings, early afternoons, and late nights. I am trustworthy and have reliable transportation. I am fully open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Every other day, I am available before 3 and after 11 pm. I follow every instruction and never stray from anything the owner wants or needs. I am punctual and available for odd hours. I will be sure to be vigilant and give the pet the utmost attention and care.
“Katelyn did a great job with Bode. He loves his walks everyday. She was able to help me on a last minute change in my schedule which let me not worry about him on my trip out of town.”

“Super communicative and so easy to work with! Went above and beyond for my old lady baby. As long as he’s available, Cameron is the only one I’d book for future visits.”

About: Hi, I’m Carmella! Growing up in an animal-loving family and volunteering at my local humane society sparked my lifelong passion for pets. I adore dogs of all breeds and personalities and take pride in giving them the care and attention they deserve. I’d love to keep your furry friend happy and comfortable while you’re away! I’m a full-time dog walker, so I’m flexible and ready to work with your schedule. Whether it’s a daily stroll or an occasional walk, I’m here to give your pup the exercise and attention they need! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always carry pepper spray as a precaution on dog walks, ensuring we’re prepared for anything. I also double-check that all doors are locked and secure before I leave, so you can trust that your home and furry friend are in good hands. Your pet’s well-being is my responsibility, and I take that seriously!
“Sarah was absolutely AMAZING!!!! So attentive and communicative. She also is good with sending pictures ( cute ones at that). It’s very evident she cares deeply for not only her own pups but yours as well. I will most definitely be using her again 🥹🫶🏼 Also I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER EVERYONE!!!”

“Eli took amazing care of my cat and dog while I was out of town! He went above and beyond to make sure both they were well taken care of and happy. His communication and photos were excellent, and I had zero anxiety about being away from my pets for days, knowing he was taking care of them. He was even available to extend visits after I unexpectedly was delayed for a day. I won’t hesitate to contact Eli again next time I go out out of town!”

“Caleb helped us out when we had to go out of town on short notice. He did a great job with our two cats, one of whom is usually scared of new people. Highly recommend and we will definitely book with him again!”

About: I am currently working from home in Savannah, GA as a Medical Records Expeditor at Leidos- QTC and I LOVE dogs. I currently have 1 dog that lives with me (10 month old Beagle, Chihuahua, Jack Russel terrier mix). I just moved from NY where I had two dogs that live at my parent’s house. I can take your dog on long walks, we can go to the dog park, or we can even just play in my apartment. I will be very flexible to meet your needs and I definitely wont disappoint you or your dog. Your dogs wants and needs will always be the first priority. I have loved and cared for my dogs for my entire life and I would love the opportunity to take care of your dogs with the same love, respect, and nourishment. I currently work from home which makes it easier to care for dogs. It also makes it easier for me to keep them occupied all day! I do not have a fenced in yard. I will walk all dogs with a harness and leach outside. But when they come back inside they'll have two floors to play and run around!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Montgomery
After years of haphazard cat sitting services provided by friends and neighbors and the odd hand here and there, all pass/ fail and hit or miss, we found Rachel here on Rover - which itself is a lovely platform of structure from which to receive and monitor the services provided for your pets once you're off and out-of-pocket - and she has proven to be the absolute ideal definition of what one would want in their pet care services while they are away. Rachel provided timely, conscientious, and intuitive service backed by the check-in, check out process that Rover employs, sending pictures of each animal every day for proof of life lol and to simply see your pets on a regular basis while you're gone. Great communication, HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for these very same reasons and would and will definitely be looking to her for these necessities in the future. Thank you Rachel, you are a reliable diamond in the rough and a pleasure to work with; very straightforward, well spoken, and thorough. For once it was nice to return from being away and not immediately have to police up the house and set everything to rights again, Rachel kept everything in order so well that walking in the door felt like I'd never left, it was that solid how she handled things. A+++++++

Jamie is the best! One of my cats during our vacation started to not feel well. Jamie let me promptly know every visit if my cat had eaten and her overall attitude. I asked if she would make an additional drop in visit to see if she could hand feed my cat that wasn’t feeling well. Jamie was happy to do it and thankfully my cat stated to feel much better. I felt very safe and comfortable leaving my babies in her hands for the weekend. I will definitely being using her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Montgomery. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
