“Super communicative and so easy to work with! Went above and beyond for my old lady baby. As long as he’s available, Cameron is the only one I’d book for future visits.”

“My Daisy’s time with Julia was exceptional! She is truly cares for her four-legged clients and goes above and beyond to make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. She also has two very chill dogs that are there to keep your pet’s company, which was nice for Daisy, who has separation anxiety and her new buddies were a nice distraction. Daisy spent time both at Julia’s and at our nearby home because we were out of town. If you are looking for someone to walk your dog while at work or take good care of them while you’re on vacation, Julia is your gal! Thanks, Julia:)”

“Amy went above and beyond! All of our cat’s needs were met and then some. Furthermore, she’s incredibly understanding, kind, and responsible. The photos we received daily were plentiful and adorable too. Couldn’t have chosen a better person for this job while we were away!”

About: Growing up my household was always blessed with multiple animals. Some of my best childhood memories revolved around my dogs. I had a German Shepherd, a border collie, a Rottweiler, and a couple of rescue pups. My childhood gave me an appreciation for the intelligence and love that dogs can show. I'll admit large bois hold a special place in my heart but there's room for all sizes! I currently work part-time as Coach in fitness. I teach classes early morning 5-9 and late in the evening 3-8, So I am available outside of those classes. I am generally completely available during the weekends! I am very active, I have a lots of stamina and strength to keep up with the pups! I am also very health conscious :)

“Madelynn took care of my cat Lucien for 19 days. I had never left my cat for so long before and was overly worried, especially about finding a sitter willing to commit. She made me feel at ease my entire trip with really good pictures and videos, stayed on top of litter and other chores, and provided daily play time. Will definitely be booking again next time I leave town. 10/10”

“I can’t recommend Emma enough! She is extremely trustworthy, kind, and great at communicating. An emergency happened while I was away, and she rushed over immediately to handle it. She went above and beyond to make sure my cats were safe and kept me informed the entire time. Your pets will be in good hands with her! :)”

“Baylee is a wonderful sitter and she took great care of our sweet spaz of a dog. She took lots of pictures and videos to calm my worries. We will definitely be booking her for our future needs! Thank you again so much Baylee!”

“Sarah was amazing! We were worried about leaving our dog for vacation after a failed vet boarding. Our dog was very reactive in that situation. Sarah came in and made instant friends with our boys and provided us the peace of mind we needed while gone. She was amazing with both our dogs, but was perfect for our rescue bulldog mix! Our dogs loved her so much and she provided pictures and videos while we were gone, putting us at ease even more. Definitely will hire her again and you should too!”

“Chandler was very attentive in taking care of my pup Wallie! She always checked in with me and sent photos. Wallie really seemed to enjoy playing with her, getting belly rubs, and going on walks. I would highly recommend her!”

“Ivy and Penelope came home with a big smile. They obviously had a great visit and fun playtime. They will sleep good the rest of the afternoon. Allyson was awesome and took great care of my babies.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Skidaway Island. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
