About: Hi, I’m Toccara! I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and can’t imagine a home without them. I’ve cared for pets of all kinds like dogs, cats, birds, bunnies. I have officially been pet sitting since I was 16 and have also been working at a dog daycare for the past four months, where gained lots of experience with pups of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I am currently working part-time at my job. On days that I am off from work I usually have a very open schedule past 10am and can always make discussion on what you prefer!! When caring for pets in my home I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I follow their usual routines with feeding, walks, and playtime, and I pay attention to their individual needs and personalities. I treat every dog like they’re my own, giving them plenty of affection and care. I am gentle, patient, and attentive and have especially learned these things from working with dogs. and would never do anything to harm an animal. Working at a dog daycare also helped me learn about different sickness and what to look out for dogs when something isn’t right or if they need medical attention.
“Michelle is a savior! She is so great with our puppy and is so flexible with our crazy, ever changing schedule. We feel so fortunate to have her help us out and give care and attention to our puppy.”

“Megan was awesome with my dog! She communicated well with me before and after his first walk, and gave me feedback on how he did on the leash (I'm working on his leash manners). She was on time, very friendly, and trustworthy. Thanks so much Megan!!”

“Katy B was fantastic! If there were more stars to give I would give them all! She was so kind and communicative while I was away. I was very relaxed while away knowing that she was with my pup. Thanks!”

About: Hi there! I’ve been around dogs since I was 6 years old, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve learned so much about their behavior, needs, and little quirks — the things that make each one special. My goal is to make every dog I care for feel safe, comfortable, and loved, just like they’re part of my own family. I’m open for visits and walks Saturday and sundays from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM giving your dog the exercise, attention, and care they deserve. For liability and insurance reasons, my services are limited to pet care only (feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and check-ins). I’m unable to assist with household tasks such as bringing in packages, mail, or other non-pet-related requests unless they are discussed in advance, added to the booking, and compensated as an add-on service.

About: I have over 10 years of experience pet sitting and dog walking. I am comfortable and familiar with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breed due to my time working at a doggy daycare. I grew up around all kinds of animals, and currently have two cats of my own and regularly watch my sisters Great Pyrenees. I know that your pets are important and beloved members of your family, so I promise they will be safe and well taken care of when in my care

About: I’ve been petsitting since my teens in order to make a little money. I had 2 dogs while growing up and am now a parent to two cats. I am extremely punctual and organized with feeding times, walks, and communication. I work part time at a restaurant so I will be available in mornings, early afternoons, and late nights. I am trustworthy and have reliable transportation. I am fully open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Every other day, I am available before 3 and after 11 pm. I follow every instruction and never stray from anything the owner wants or needs. I am punctual and available for odd hours. I will be sure to be vigilant and give the pet the utmost attention and care.
About: I have been around animals for as long as I can remember, getting a family border collie when I was 6. I was delighted to adopt my "own" dog, a Jack Russell Terrier, when I was 13. I adored her high energy, mischievousness, and lack of attention span. Currently, I own two cats. My mother is a regular volunteer for the ASPCA, and I have often helped her in different ways to care for more animals than I can count. I have fostered animals (which is how I ended up adopting the two cats), many of which were rescues from various environments, so I have experience caring for animals with a range of issues (blindness, deafness, illnesses, medicating, etc.). I have a rather flexible work schedule that allows me to move things around as needed. That applies both to weekends and weekdays. I am also able to go to and fro as needed throughout the day. I do own two cats that are used to other random animals being around them (from fostering). They pretty much have free reign in my home as far as being on furniture goes, and the same would apply to any animal visitors. I did formally request in writing that they stay off of my kitchen counters where I'm preparing food, but they don't seem to care. I am happy to do a meet & greet along with sending picture updates as desired! My schedule's flexible and I work from home, so pet care isn't squeezed between other commitments — it's the priority. That's why I focus on house sitting: I settle into your home and stay, giving your pet steady company and keeping their feeding, walking, and medication routine right on schedule. Working in your home, my goal is to keep your pet's world unchanged — same routine, same comforts, minimal stress. I stay attentive to their habits and health, keep doors and leashes secure, and watch for anything unusual. House sitting also means I look after your home itself: mail, lights, and general security. You'll get regular photo updates so you can relax while you're away.
“Amy took great care of my dog. Walking him even farther than I do and on schedule. She played with him which kept him happy. Would highly recommend her and will be using her again.”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life, from medium to large, and lived with and cared for cats for many years. Animal care is a huge passion of mine, which is why I’ve cared for pets for friends, neighbors, and family. I am able to house watch and walk dogs, and care for both elderly and young dogs and cats. I work a part time job, and have time in my weekends and weekdays to care for pets from house watching to walking. We can work out whatever fits into that schedule. I can do extra tasks needed to keep a home maintained and make sure your pets are happy and healthy. Whether that’s chores or medication, specific eating or potty times, and so on.
“Katelyn came in super handy in a bind! I was taking an impromptu trip up to NY to visit family and my usual walker wasn’t available. Katelyn responded quickly, and offered a meet and greet that same day. Throughout my trip Katelyn kept in touch with me with updates via text and pictures to accompany them!! Thanks for being a life saver for my extended weekend!”

“Whitney is our Goto dog care person. She is easy to work with. She has hosted Smitty for several days when we anre out of town and she has walked him when we are out of the house for a long stretch of the day. She communicates well and most importantly our dog Smitty loves to hang out with her! Thanks Whitney!”

“Adrianne is flexible, professional, and I’m happy to work with her many times a week to walk my (sometimes aggressive) dog. She communicates well and I know my dog is in good hands with her.”

About: I am an animal lover who works from home and has lots of free time! I enjoy being active so taking your pup on walks is a win/win for me. I have a 9 year old lab/beagle mix I’ve had since college and an 8 year old cat with my husband. I work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible. I can always do early mornings, evenings, and usually at least around lunch time during the day. I am only able to take care of pets at their own home right now due to my lease restrictions. I am more than happy to come by for walks or boarding!
“Jamie treated my pups with the utmost care - being the crazy dog lady that I am, having peace of mind when it comes to my pups safety, happiness and wellbeing is imperative and I recommend Jamie to anyone that needs a pet sitter! She will be my go-to anytime I need my pups walked or boarded!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
