She has hosted Smitty for several days when we anre out of town and she has walked him when we are out of the house for a long stretch of the day. About: I’ve had pets (mostly dogs) my whole life. I’ve also cared for dogs for family, friends, and neighbors. I work from home so I have a flexible schedule and feel it would be a win-win to incorporate some interaction and movement into my days while caring for someone’s pet. I work remote so weekdays are very flexible. Early mornings and lunch time would be most available. Ideally would be caring for pets in/around the Daffin park area. I have 2 indoor cats, so I am not able to have other pets stay at my home. I am happy to take care of other pets in the client’s home.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. With 15+ years of experience caring for large dogs, as well as fostering cats and dogs, I am comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I've helped care for newborn kittens, supported animals through surgical recovery, and worked with pets who need extra patience and attention. As a graduate student in Applied Behavior Analysis, I enjoy incorporating gentle, positive reinforcement strategies to support training and good behavior when requested. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in capable hands. I’m currently working towards my masters in applied behavior analysis at Georgia Southern University Armstrong campus, where I will begin classes in the fall, around mid August. I do not currently have any pets in my home, which allows me to provide a calm environment and focus my attention entirely on your pet. If your pet stays in my home, I am happy to maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, medications, bedtime routines, and any training practices you would like continued. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to keep their routine consistent and provide plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection. I believe pets are most comfortable when their daily schedule remains familiar, so I work closely with owners to understand their pet's specific needs and preferences. Regular updates and photos are always provided so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for
“Cassandra was fabulous with our little pup! She was kind, responsive, and took great pictures and submitted fabulous updates! We look forward to having her as our go to sitter and would highly recommend her!”

About: I have 2 dogs of my own, and have many dogs in my life. I have been dog sitting for 3 years, which consists of walking, feeding, playing, and lots of snuggles! I am very knowledgeable of dogs, as I have been around them my whole life, and am not deterred by any breed, they all need love and care! I am good with any age or size of dog! I am currently only working part time and have plenty of extra time on my hands to have fun with your adorable pups. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. If a dog owner leaves instructions or requests, that is most important to me. However some important things to me are the safety of the dog, I do not allow any dogs out of my sight while under my care, I always use a leash when walking, adequate potty breaks, water, attention, and of course play time!

“Parker loves his walks with Shelby, she is so patient with all his sniffing and squirrel hunting lol. I’m so happy we found her, and am grateful she was available to start on short notice. We are definitely going to make this a regular thing going forward ❤️”

I’m patient, attentive, and enjoy spending time with pets, including feeding, walking, playing, and providing companionship. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and keep them updated with photos and messages. While I am still building my experience with more complex situations, I am responsible, quick to communicate, and committed to ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable in my care. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I treat them with the same care, patience, and respect I would give my own pets.

“Emily was very sweet with my dog, and went above and beyond to accommodate me (as I am on crutches.) My dog came back super happy. I will definitely use Emily again!!”

About: My first ever pup was given to me at 3 and until I really understood what it is to take care of a pup, I have been taking care of mainly dogs from family and friends. Although I am not majoring with animals, taking care pets have always been a part of my life and I’m always happy to meet new friends along the way! Family, friends, and many coworkers of mine have all relied on me to walk and give comfort to their pets whenever they are away for the moment and I’m glad to be of reliable service! As a pet owner of 3 rescue dogs, I understand the importance of a routine, making sure to follow directions as they are told, giving comfort, and discipline to assure your pet is in good hands and is acknowledged! And not to worry with asking for pictures, I will bombard my gallery with hundreds of pictures just for you! Because I am free from school and my part-time, I am currently available any day of the week from 12pm-8pm! My schedule is very flexible and I am willing to be of assist at any time for your pups! I can provide any services needed! I live next door to a walking park and I can walk them where it is safe and open for your pets to roam around.

About: I’m a 44 year old animal lover. I was lucky to have spent the last 10 years with my Labrador but unfortunately he had to move on to a world without suffering. He was the best dog ( you know what I mean!!!) now I have too much love to share and space in my heart and would love to share it with your dog. I work 9.5h shifts 4 days a week. So your pet would have to be okay with being able to be home alone for some time. I will make sure tho that before my work day they are the last and after, my first thought. Our house is dog proof (since we owned a dog until recently) and the yard is fenced in and pet friendly. The dog will be able to move around the house freely (when I’m home) and the yard with supervision only!

Susan was wonderful with my fur baby, Ezio & he absolutely loved her. No matter when I would contact her, she responded immediately. She updated me on their walk & sent adorable pictures. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
