“Great help looking after our cats! My one silly boy managed to lock himself in the bathroom within a day of us leaving for our trip, so every visit Jerry made sure to check that he could see the cats before he left so there wouldn’t be anymore jailed kitties - thanks again!”

“Amber is very nice and took great care of our Guinness while we were away for the weekend! She has great communication, made sure he got lots of pets, and sent us lots of pictures!”

“Jamie is seriously awesome, you guys!!!! Super reliable, gives your pet all the love, play, cuddles, attention they deserve and crave and more! She has a lot of knowledge and passion for animals, especially doggies. She’s very attuned to their cues and needs and will intervene accordingly. She’s also just a fun, but calm energy to be around. We threw some unexpected challenges (not intentionally) her way, was just rock steady throughout. Highly recommend her and I’ve met at least a handful of sitters.”

“Amy was terrific with our cat Pesto, great pics which were sent everyday, was communicative, Pesto seemed relaxed especially during his grooming sessions. Would certainly use her services in the future.”

“Katelyn did a great job with Bode. He loves his walks everyday. She was able to help me on a last minute change in my schedule which let me not worry about him on my trip out of town.”

“Super communicative and so easy to work with! Went above and beyond for my old lady baby. As long as he’s available, Cameron is the only one I’d book for future visits.”

“Marin was great! I reached out to her last minute about coming by the next day when I was in a bind, and she replied right away! She sent great photos so I knew he was in good hands!”
“Eli is so wonderful with our shy/fearful girl. He has a very calm presence and Marsi warmed up to him right away. He is so kind and easy to coordinate with and he shares updates with pictures from his visits!”

“Sarah was absolutely AMAZING!!!! So attentive and communicative. She also is good with sending pictures ( cute ones at that). It’s very evident she cares deeply for not only her own pups but yours as well. I will most definitely be using her again 🥹🫶🏼 Also I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER EVERYONE!!!”

About: I grew up around dogs and cats all my life. Getting my first dog Truffles five years ago and added four cats since then to our family! I am taking my final class online and besides that I’m very free. I live my long-time girlfriend who would be able to take care of my pets at home if I needed to stay the night. I can easily drive to any areas in the Savannah area. I have safely walked and take care of many dogs of all sizes. I will treat your pets like my own no matter the species.
“Even though he was unable to get in my house because I gave him the wrong key, he still checked on Cooky and Butler to make sure they were safe. Thank you so much for your dedication. I can't wait to schedule you again.”

“Morgan is such an excellent and caring pet friend! She took amazing care of my cat for five days that I was out of town and was sure to give me detailed updates about all her visits. I was so thrilled to have found such a wonderful, kind, and attentive caretaker for my pet. 11/10 stars!”

“Brittany is great! This is the second time she has watched my cats and like before was great with them. Lots of pictures and updates on how the cats are doing. I highly recommend Brittany!”

About: I own my own pet care business and am also insured! :) I am also a stay-at-home-mom, so if your request is during the week he may be with me if it’s between 3:30-5pm for a drop in visit. I have owned and cared for dogs since I was a child. I have experience with all different kinds of breeds, ages, and personality types! I am familiar with fear-reactive dogs and don’t get intimidated by any breed. Husband says I can’t get anymore animals, so this is my happy compromise! I have 4 rescue pups of my own and a four-year-old, so I’m always up for an adventure! 🙃🐕🐈⬛ I’m a business owner and stay-at-home mom who loves all animals! My schedule is flexible! I have plenty of experience with furry animals- dogs and cat obviously. I’ve also owned chinchillas, rats, crested and leopard geckos, and ball pythons. So, if you happen to have any of those I’m happy to help too! I will abide by your recommendations and rules for your pets! After all, YOU know your babies best. I own 4 dogs of my own and I know how hard it is to trust someone. You will be the first to know if something has gone awry, and if I don’t know an answer I’m not afraid to ask!

“Sarah was great dropping in to feed my cat and spending time with her. We had just moved so Cali was somewhat traumatized. However, she warmed up to Sarah quickly. Sarah sent me pictures at every visit and updated me on how Cali was doing. I’ll definitely request Sarah again the next time I need to be away.”

About: I was born into a home with pets. I grew up with both cats and dogs and have had fish and a hamster - I love animals of all kinds! I currently own 2 cats and they are my babies. My experience is vast. I am a full time pharmacy tech, but am wanting to use my free time to help owners take care of their babies! I get my schedule a month out and update my Rover calendar accordingly. My schedule and hours are very consistent so I am confident I can be a secure and reliable option for your fur babies! I have handled dogs big and small as well as different temperaments and strengths. I also have taken care of many cats over my life, so I know how they operate. I will always be gentle and kind and treat your home and pets with care and respect.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Windsor Forest
After years of haphazard cat sitting services provided by friends and neighbors and the odd hand here and there, all pass/ fail and hit or miss, we found Rachel here on Rover - which itself is a lovely platform of structure from which to receive and monitor the services provided for your pets once you're off and out-of-pocket - and she has proven to be the absolute ideal definition of what one would want in their pet care services while they are away. Rachel provided timely, conscientious, and intuitive service backed by the check-in, check out process that Rover employs, sending pictures of each animal every day for proof of life lol and to simply see your pets on a regular basis while you're gone. Great communication, HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for these very same reasons and would and will definitely be looking to her for these necessities in the future. Thank you Rachel, you are a reliable diamond in the rough and a pleasure to work with; very straightforward, well spoken, and thorough. For once it was nice to return from being away and not immediately have to police up the house and set everything to rights again, Rachel kept everything in order so well that walking in the door felt like I'd never left, it was that solid how she handled things. A+++++++

Katherine was so great! She was very attentive to every detail of the instructions that I left, and was extremely thorough. Very pleasant to communicate with, and is very knowledgeable about all sorts of animals. I felt very comfortable having her take care of our animals while we were away. Thanks again!

Amberly took good care of our cat, fish, and like, thirty plants. She also alerted me to suspicious activity at the house though thankfully it turned out to be cat mischief and the lawn guys leaving gates open. She is respectful and easy to work with!

Jamie is the best! One of my cats during our vacation started to not feel well. Jamie let me promptly know every visit if my cat had eaten and her overall attitude. I asked if she would make an additional drop in visit to see if she could hand feed my cat that wasn’t feeling well. Jamie was happy to do it and thankfully my cat stated to feel much better. I felt very safe and comfortable leaving my babies in her hands for the weekend. I will definitely being using her again!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windsor Forest. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
