About: Hi! My name is Meg and here's a little bit about my experience as a pet sitter. I have been pet sitting for friends and family since 2021, cats and dogs both. That has meant everything from the easy stuff, feeding and walks and company, to the parts people actually worry about: giving medications on schedule, keeping up with monthly preventatives, and handling the unglamorous days when a dog has an upset stomach and needs watching. I have done the 2am cleanup and the anxious pacing by the door. None of it fazes me. One sit still stands out to me. A family friend needed someone last minute to care for their two dogs, who both had colds, while they were away for a week. They were understandably worried about leaving sick dogs behind. I stayed with the pair day and night, giving every dose of medication on time and just being there with them through it. By the time their owners got home, both dogs were one step away from a full recovery. That week is a good example of what I bring to a sit: I don't just check in, I stay present until the job is actually done right. Just tell me what normal looks like for them and I will hold it as close as I can while you're away. I have also fostered cats and dogs, which gave me practice with nervous animals and slow, careful introductions. My own dog Lady came to me as a foster and never left. She is 5 years old, lab mix and an easygoing host. She would be the only other pet your dog is around. I'm currently working part-time so your pet will have to be alone for 5-6 hours only 2 to 3 days a week. My working days are also quite flexible so I can work it out according to your pet's needs! Either my home or yours, I will match your baby's routine and needs. Same feeding times, walk schedules, rules around furniture and crates. In your home, I will keep to your house rules and keep the space as you expect it when you're back! My home is quiet and pet friendly, with a fenced yard, walking routes in the neighborhood and a metal crate is available if your dog prefers one. Introductions with my dog, Lady will happen slowly and on neutral ground, and I do not leave dogs unsupervised together until I know how they get along. You will get many updates and photos while your pet is with me.
About: Throughout my life, I have always had the pleasure to take care of and love animals. Cats, dogs and chickens! I have experience with young animals to seniors and have cherished them all. I have helped out my friends by caring for their animals while they were away. Both large and small dogs, and kitties. I am available on the weekends, Saturday and Sundays, as I have a full time job. “Jasmin agreed to watch our cats for two weeks while we went on vacation. I was quite nervous as it was our first time using rover and we have some finicky cats. I was very worried initially as i have a senior cat with some health issues and my other is very shy and quick to refuse food when stressed. She was very confident when we met her and when we introduced her to the cats both of them immediately took to her. The most memorable thing she did for us was when we were delayed an extra day coming back for our vacation she was completely understanding and agreed to watch the cats on such extremely short notice. About: I’ve been watching after pets for friends and family since I a teenager. My neighbors in my hometown loved their pets, and always knew to call me to look after them when they went away on vacation. I’ve looked after various different sizes and types of dogs and cats. From a Great Pyrenees to Yorkies. I have had the honor of looking after my ESA and best cat, Goose. I work at a local cafe that is dog friendly. I absolutely love meeting people’s pets everyday! I currently work as a barista in the morning and a food runner at night. I have time between shifts to check up/walk pets. I have two dedicated days off from both of my jobs that make me completely available for pet care. I get my schedule every week for both my jobs, so I’m pretty aware of my availability ahead of time. I know social pets act out in a home when they haven’t seen their people for hours on end. I know it’s important to give them space to get their energy out daily to avoid messes and destructive behaviors to the home.
