“One of my cats started feeling unwell, right as I was about to leave for my trip, but Cassandra was able to give me peace of mind. Her experience administering medication really came in handy and because she has taken care of my cats a few times now, she was able to comment on their behaviors as a result. Always grateful!”

“Paige has been nothing but amazing. She exceeds expectations, has amazing communication, and genuinely cares for my pup. I am so happy to have found her and couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Madeline was great for our drop in visits with my two crazy dogs! Georgia is quite the mess but Madeline seemed to have no issues handling her high energy and puppy behavior. Will definitely book with her again :))”

“A fabulous sitter who goes above and beyond! She even accommodated a short notice extra drop in and everything went seamlessly. My kitties and I love visits with Saige!”

“Eli is the greatest! Eli was kind and caring towards our fur babies when my wife and I took our little getaway trip. Communication was on point, we received lots of photos while being away and our Pups also got groomed by his Girlfriend Jacy who did a fabulous job by the way!! Hands down the best kind of Love and care that we have found by far and will definitely be using Eli and Jacy again and again in the near future!! I highly recommend the both I tell ya, it doesn't get any better than this!!”

About: I grew up in a family with 6 or more animals all the time. Life would be so boring without animals! I also grew up on a farm with horses, donkeys, and chickens. I love all animals and would love to meet yours! I work a 9-5 but I make sure to dedicate lots of time for my animals (and yours!) I’m flexible with my time as well. I live right next to Forsyth park and a square downtown. I have lots of areas to let yours and my animals roam and get some outside time!
“Shelby is an amazing pet and home sitter! She recently watched my place and my incredibly shy cats, and the experience was flawless. Shelby went above and beyond to make sure my cats felt safe and secure, and her communication throughout the entire stay was fantastic. It is rare to find someone who takes such wonderful care of both your home and a timid pets. Professional, trustworthy, and kind—5 stars all around!”

About: I have had numerous cats and watched numerous puppies so I know how to treat them accordingly. I also know how to care and bath for them. I am going to college to become a zoologist so this will be a dream job for me! I am currently working part-time, so I have extra time to walk/tend to your precious pet! I am near the downtown area, so I have no problem walking in nearby neighborhoods. I follow whatever the client prefers, and provide gentle care for the pet. I also observe the pets behaviors and emotions and respect and act in accordance to them. I'm open to cleaning them/ or behind them, walking them, feeding them, and caring for them.
About: I’ve cared for many animals since a young age through family, and the helping of friends and neighbors. I’ve also handled a variety of dogs breeds and sizes as a dog washer / groomer. I’m currently working part-time in the evenings and would love a way to interact with animals and stay active during the daytime and my days off! In my own home I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. Walking and / taking the dogs outside, feeding them, and playing and providing love and affection. As well as with my cats, playing with them, feeding them, and taking care of litter boxes. As would be the same for any of my clients, I make sure dogs have great walks, go to the bathroom, and stay hydrated.
“Awesome Sitter! Austin is top tier! From the pre-visit when he took time to get to know Benny before the schedule visits and how well they bonded, I was sure he would be the right choice. Austin helped reassure Neal and I about Benny care with photos and texts before, during and after each visit. This was something that had been lacking in previous pet care givers. I never had to worry and Austin quickly replied to any question of Benny’s care because this was Benny’s first Rover experience. Needless to say, we were not let down on any level of care. Thank you Austin. Now I truly know why you are so sought after in the pet care arena!”

“Katie is wonderful to work with. She's attentive, friendly, and always responds quickly to messages. We've had her care for our animals twice and will happily rebook the next time we go out of town.”

I have 2 doggos of myself :) i have a miniature schnauzer named bentley and a morkie named panda so I have experience with sticking to potty schedules and making sure the animals stay active during walks and playtime! i’ve just relocated to Georgia! Sage was wonderful! I think one of my cats became best friends with her with how much she got to play and exercise with Sage! She takes amazing photos, communicates well and was very engaging with all the kitties. She made it as easy as possible to be away from the fur babies!

Elli took such wonderful care of our cats while we were away for the holidays, and we couldn’t be more grateful. He was incredibly communicative and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind while traveling. One of our cats has special medical needs, and Elli was so attentive and thoughtful in caring for her. If he noticed anything that could be a concern or had a question, he reached out right away, which truly showed how much he cared about their well-being. He was also very accommodating with a few last-minute changes, always responsive, flexible, and kind throughout the entire process. Coming home to a clean and tidy house was fab! It’s clear Elli genuinely cares for the pets he watches, and we felt our cats were in loving, capable hands the whole time. We would absolutely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter!

Paige was a pleasure to work with. She arrived at the scheduled time for drop-in visits (even though we were flexible about this) and sent cute photos of our cats. She was also very accommodating about the needs of our quite elderly cat (incontinence). Will definitely book with Paige again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Savannah. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
