“Michelle is amazing! Can't believe we lucked out as she was the first time we had used this app. Our pup was very comfortable with Michelle and they get along so well. Michelle will continue to be our go-to moving forward!”

“Attentive and super flexible with my last-minute in-house pet sitting booking! I know my cat and dog both enjoyed having Faith as their pet sitter. Plenty of photos to see what my fur babies were up to. Faith was quick to respond and ask questions about how to better love and care for my pets. I especially liked how, considering the temperature, going for a walk wasn't possible, but Faith took kept my dog inside and made the effort to play enough for him to be tired. I came home to a clean home thanks to Faith's attention to Barricade's energy level (no bored dog destruction here!). I appreciate the care and love Faith displayed to these two animals she just met. It felt like i had asked a good friend to come visit with them. You couldn't ask for better !”
“We were new to the app; she was very helpful even with our lack of instruction! Did great with our pup rott and pit . If we continue using this app we will definitely be requesting her service if she’s available!”

“Dewayne was absolutely amazing. Actively communicated how the visits were going, sent picture and videos of my pup during each visit. Went above and beyond when we had issues with the door lock and garage. He always has a great attitude and treated my pup as if he was his own. I have complete trust that my dog and house are taken care of by Dewayne. We appreciate your great service, we will definitely book again soon!”

“I can’t recommend Julie enough for all your pet needs! From the moment we met, I knew she was the perfect match for my senior dog. She truly goes above and beyond to care for Star. She’s always on time and treats Star like she’s her own.”

About: I’ve owned and taken care of pets 20+ years. I give them love and attention and take care of all there nutrition, potty time and any medical needs. I’m currently working part-time so I am available weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. I strive to meet your schedule and all of your Pet needs. I care for your pets in your home so that they are comfortable in their own environment and not stressed while you’re away from them.
About: Since I was born, I’ve always had a dog or a cat in the house with me, and I have my own cat now. I have been responsible for a variety of dogs, from including my parents’ great dane to a friend’s dachshund. they go out or stay at work late. I have experience in walking, feeding, and playing with their pets! I have also volunteered at an aquarium and insectarium and have experience in more “exotic” pets such as snakes, spiders, or hissing roaches. Unfortunately, I am not in a situation where I can readily accept other pets into my place of living. I have a small apartment, and my own cat, who unfortunately dislikes other animals :( I have a pretty flexible schedule as I am currently a graduate student who works from home half the week! I usually go into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, however, my lab is very flexible! As I am not currently taking pets in my own home, I mostly conduct drop ins and walks. During drop ins I like to first bring dogs outside if applicable to play with them for a bit before going inside to eat! For cats, I like to sit with the cat for a little bit and try to play with them before feeding and litter box cleaning!
“Cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth! This is the second time she has watched my two cats and the second time she stopped in for an extra visit when the power went out and their automatic feeder wasn’t working. She is reliable, friendly, and follows directions. She even recommended an interactive cat toy that I ordered and she set up for me while we were away. Definitely recommend her!”

“Andra was awesome and took great care of our 2 cats while we were away for six days. I don't even think our cats even missed us. We would definitely use her again for our next trip. Highly recommend!”

“Jasmin agreed to watch our cats for two weeks while we went on vacation. I was quite nervous as it was our first time using rover and we have some finicky cats. I was very worried initially as i have a senior cat with some health issues and my other is very shy and quick to refuse food when stressed. She was very confident when we met her and when we introduced her to the cats both of them immediately took to her. This was a first for us as again my one cat has never been so friendly upon meeting someone for the first time but I genuinely believe it was because she has a fantastic personality and animal handling skills. For two weeks she was prompt and clear with her communication and took great photos that made me feel comfortable about my cats' condition. Of course, there were also funny moments she was able to capture which really put me at ease. She was able to identify their patterns of behavior and made notes on it. I appreciate her thoughtfulness on refilling their litter and water fountain. The most memorable thing she did for us was when we were delayed an extra day coming back for our vacation she was completely understanding and agreed to watch the cats on such extremely short notice. If I ever have to get a pet sitter again I know that she will be my first choice going forward. Thank you Jasmin!!”

“Our dog loves Rachel! She is very dependable, responds quickly, and is great with our pup. I would recommend her to anyone. Rachel has she a lifesaver for us on many occasions. Don’t hesitate to book with her!”

About: I’ve had my own dog before and have also watched dogs for friends and family several times. I’ve also lived with and helped care for four cats, so I’m very comfortable around both dogs and cats. I enjoy spending time with pets and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. My schedule is currently very flexible, so I’m available throughout the day and can usually accommodate different walking, or check-in times. I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s usual routine. I try to make sure pets feel comfortable while they’re with me. I’ll follow your instructions and stick to their usual routine as much as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any house rules. I’ll also keep a close eye on them and make sure they’re in a clean and safe environment.
About: I grew up with both cats and dogs, and I currently have several cats of my own. I am empathetic and gentle with all animals and will do whatever is necessary to make them comfortable. I am transitioning from in person to remote work Mid-August and will have very flexible availability from then on. Available any time of my off days until then, and evenings any day. Check ins, feedings, and/or walks will fit in with my remote schedule easily. I have 2 indoor kitties at home whom treat like my children. They can be skittish, so I prefer to care for your pet in your home. Whether it’s a simple check in and feeding, or burning some energy with a walk, jog, or playing with toys, I’m excited to meet your fur baby and care for them as if they were my own.
“Valerie was great for us! She dropped in to check on my two cats and left detailed updates on them, and went above and beyond! She brought over an extra cat toy for my babies and even made sure to bring our packages inside! Highly recommend Valerie for pet sitting needs :)”

“Very nice, very understanding. We have a cat who likes to dart, and she was very nice about out strange instructions. Our dog also liked her and she was good with update pictures.”

About: I grew up around dogs and cats all my life. Getting my first dog Truffles five years ago and added four cats since then to our family! I am taking my final class online and besides that I’m very free. I live my long-time girlfriend who would be able to take care of my pets at home if I needed to stay the night. I can easily drive to any areas in the Savannah area. I have safely walked and take care of many dogs of all sizes. I will treat your pets like my own no matter the species.
“Eli is so wonderful with our shy/fearful girl. He has a very calm presence and Marsi warmed up to him right away. He is so kind and easy to coordinate with and he shares updates with pictures from his visits!”

About: I have experience with puppies, high-energy breeds, and dogs who may need a slower pace or extra care including administering oral medications and following special diets. I’m at home most of the time, and have plenty time to take care of your dog. Whether it's early morning potty breaks, midday walks, or evening cuddling time. I’ll make sure your pet needs are met. I have a Goldendoodle and pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I love being outdoors, so walks and playtime fit right into my routine. I plan my schedule to allow plenty of time for feeding, exercising, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I will provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pooler. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
