We could not be more pleased with the service that Elizabeth provided for Milo recently. Even with a curveball provided by our community when they all of a sudden installed gated access hours before we left, Elizabeth put our minds at ease and was able to figure out how to use the gate before we had to. Would definitely recommend using her for any pet sitting needs. We will definitely request her again. 🙂

Michelle was so great. She came and did a meet and greet with my dog and I. He's very shy and he warmed up to her so quickly. She did so great with him and put me at ease since this was my first time away from him. He is a happy boy and I'm so happy to have found Michelle! Thank you!

I came home to relaxed, happy pets and everything was just as I left it. I will certainly be using Riley again.

About: Since I was born, I’ve always had a dog or a cat in the house with me, and I have my own cat now. I have been responsible for a variety of dogs, from including my parents’ great dane to a friend’s dachshund. they go out or stay at work late. I have experience in walking, feeding, and playing with their pets! I have also volunteered at an aquarium and insectarium and have experience in more “exotic” pets such as snakes, spiders, or hissing roaches. Unfortunately, I am not in a situation where I can readily accept other pets into my place of living. I have a small apartment, and my own cat, who unfortunately dislikes other animals :( I have a pretty flexible schedule as I am currently a graduate student who works from home half the week! I usually go into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, however, my lab is very flexible! As I am not currently taking pets in my own home, I mostly conduct drop ins and walks. During drop ins I like to first bring dogs outside if applicable to play with them for a bit before going inside to eat! For cats, I like to sit with the cat for a little bit and try to play with them before feeding and litter box cleaning!

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have always had dogs and cats in my home. Caring for pets has always been a natural part of my daily routine, from feeding and walks to playtime and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, and providing attentive care so pets feel relaxed and secure in their home environment. Because I work remotely, I’m able to spend a lot of time at home with pets and give them plenty of companionship throughout the day. I’m best suited for pets who enjoy a calm environment and are comfortable relaxing in the home while I work. My goal is always to treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable while they’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. Because I work remotely, I’m able to spend a lot of time at home and provide consistent care and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate regular feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and playtime while making sure pets stay comfortable in their usual routine. I do work remotely and will most likely have occasional virtual meetings during the day, but I remain present in the home and attentive to the pets in my care. I prioritize a calm, safe, and structured environment for every pet I care for. I always follow the pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, medications, and playtime so they feel comfortable in their environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with respect and make sure pets receive attentive care, supervision, and plenty of companionship while their owners are away.

About: Hello, My name is Anna. I'm 34 years old. I'm outgoing, friendly and kind. I have owned pets growing up. I owned a poodle that now was passed down to my cousin, due to having a newborn it was difficult for me to keep her. I also owned a rabbit. So yes I am Pet friendly. I hope that I can be a great candidate for your adorable pet. My Work Schedule is flexible I work close to home I get one hour break so when pets are boarding I have that afternoon time to walk them and check up on them.Weekends are also great since I'm off from work. I work Monday through Friday from 9am-7pm. So weekend works best for me. I have a fenced backyard and pets are also Allowed to stay inside my house as well. I also don't mind taking care of pets in clients home as well.

Eli took amazing care of my cat and dog while I was out of town! He went above and beyond to make sure both they were well taken care of and happy. His communication and photos were excellent, and I had zero anxiety about being away from my pets for days, knowing he was taking care of them. He was even available to extend visits after I unexpectedly was delayed for a day. I won’t hesitate to contact Eli again next time I go out out of town!

Paige was amazing. We weren’t able to do an initial meet and greet so it took our dog a little bit of time to warm up to her, but she remained consistent and patient & he absolutely loved her by the second visit. She also communicated well & sent lots of pictures. We would definitely recommend her.

Riley was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of our cats, Rio and Luna, and made the entire experience completely stress-free. She was punctual, incredibly communicative, and kept us updated with plenty of photos and messages throughout our trip, which we really appreciated. It was clear she wanted to make sure they were happy and comfortable while we were away. We came home to two very well-cared-for, content kitties. I would absolutely book Riley again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet sitter!

We honestly can't think of a better possible performance. Julie watched our two cats like they were her own: she fed them on time, administered insulin shots to the diabetic one, swept and scooped daily, and sent us pics/vids daily to warm our hearts. If you want a concierge-level experience, book Julie without a second thought.

As of July 2026, there are 1,099 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Pooler. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Pooler stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pooler. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
