“Katie always takes such amazing care of our cats and treats them like her own! It’s so nice to read the detailed descriptions and scroll through the pictures she sends after every visit. You will not regret booking her!”

“Sara was great with our stubborn old boy Nigel and our sweet cat Miley. Nigel needs a lot of love and patience and she definitely got him to warm up quickly. The updates made us feel like we were there, would definitely work with her again.”
About: Hi, I’m Toccara! I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and can’t imagine a home without them. I’ve cared for pets of all kinds like dogs, cats, birds, bunnies. I have officially been pet sitting since I was 16 and have also been working at a dog daycare for the past four months, where gained lots of experience with pups of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I am currently working part-time at my job. On days that I am off from work I usually have a very open schedule past 10am and can always make discussion on what you prefer!! When caring for pets in my home I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I follow their usual routines with feeding, walks, and playtime, and I pay attention to their individual needs and personalities. I treat every dog like they’re my own, giving them plenty of affection and care. I am gentle, patient, and attentive and have especially learned these things from working with dogs. and would never do anything to harm an animal. Working at a dog daycare also helped me learn about different sickness and what to look out for dogs when something isn’t right or if they need medical attention.

“Very professional and thoughtful visit. Nala was so excited and happy to spend time with Jakub and was so relaxed when I got home! Definitely gave me peace of mind while I was at work. Highly recommend and will book again!”

About: Hi, my name is Ramona. :) I have been providing care for pets for over 10+ years now. I have volunteered at an animal shelter for 5 years. I am very attentive and detailed. I'll make sure to provide top quality care for your companion. This would be a great opportunity for me to meet a new furry friend. I will make sure to care for your companion in the same way as you would. I ensure my home will be clean, comfortable, and safe for your pet. I have a terrific daughter that loves animals as well and is really gentle with them. I have a cat named Charlotte, very friendly but will be kept away in my room from other furry friends for safety reasons. She’s an introverted cat who likes to stay in my room mostly :) I look forward to meeting you! My schedule is pretty open. I will make plenty of time to play and care for your pet and I love going for walks in my free time. My home has plenty of room for your companion. I make sure they are safe, loved and never forgotten about. I will treat them like family.

About: I’ve been watching after pets for friends and family since I a teenager. My neighbors in my hometown loved their pets, and always knew to call me to look after them when they went away on vacation. I’ve looked after various different sizes and types of dogs and cats. From a Great Pyrenees to Yorkies. I have had the honor of looking after my ESA and best cat, Goose. I work at a local cafe that is dog friendly. I absolutely love meeting people’s pets everyday! I currently work as a barista in the morning and a food runner at night. I have time between shifts to check up/walk pets. I have two dedicated days off from both of my jobs that make me completely available for pet care. I get my schedule every week for both my jobs, so I’m pretty aware of my availability ahead of time. I know social pets act out in a home when they haven’t seen their people for hours on end. I know it’s important to give them space to get their energy out daily to avoid messes and destructive behaviors to the home.
“Emma was so sweet and communicative! I was worried about leaving my cats alone for the holidays but she took such good care of them and sent me the cutest photos. 10/10 thank you so much!!”

“Eli is the greatest! Eli was kind and caring towards our fur babies when my wife and I took our little getaway trip. Communication was on point, we received lots of photos while being away and our Pups also got groomed by his Girlfriend Jacy who did a fabulous job by the way!! Hands down the best kind of Love and care that we have found by far and will definitely be using Eli and Jacy again and again in the near future!! I highly recommend the both I tell ya, it doesn't get any better than this!!”

“Madeline is so sweet! She took great care of our two dogs and even took the time to clean their feet when it was rainy out to not track dirt inside. We would definitely recommend and use her again in the future!”

“Blanca was trusted with my furry friend and apartment. She cared for my cat as I would have, providing detailed updates. She gave me peace of mind knowing I could focus on travel and not at-home matters. Will definitely book again! Blanca is an expert with communication, detail, and commitment.”

About: I've had five dogs over the course of my lifetime, purebreds and mutts, large and small. I have strong knowledge of a dog's body language and vocalizations. I have experience driving with dogs in the car. I've even taken care of some more unconventional animals, like lizards. My schedule is flexible. I can work almost any day except Sunday from 11 to 3. I am willing to stay overnight if needed, including long weekends and holidays. I care for pets by giving them lots of attention and praise. I listen carefully and observe their behavior so I can tell just what tell just what they want. I love taking dogs for walks, especially in areas with lots of nature. I will bring treats and poop bags if required. I will be respectful of your home while I'm in it. If a certain area is off limits for me or the dog, just let me know.

About: I’ve lived in an animal house my entire life. I grew up riding horses and owning two beagles, and I currently have one senior beagle (Tiny Dancer) and 3-year-old newfoundland (Pua). On top of dog care, I’ve also taken care of cats and worked with birds and reptiles working at a local pet store in Los Angeles. I truly love spending time with all animals, so if you if have a pet then we’re already off to a great start :D As a college student, I have class during the week every day until 1:30, but after that, my days are completely open! My weekends are wide open as well. I base my interaction and care around each dog’s personality, needs, and energy. For my pets, I focus on what my dog needs—whether that’s a play session or a belly rub—and pay close attention to any signs of discomfort. Like us, every dog is different and every day is new! So that’s how I approach any responsible interaction.
About: I grew up in a family with 6 or more animals all the time. Life would be so boring without animals! I also grew up on a farm with horses, donkeys, and chickens. I love all animals and would love to meet yours! I work a 9-5 but I make sure to dedicate lots of time for my animals (and yours!) I’m flexible with my time as well. I live right next to Forsyth park and a square downtown. I have lots of areas to let yours and my animals roam and get some outside time!
About: I have grown up around many dogs and I have so much love in my heart for them! I am very good with noisy dogs as I have a very vocal Australian shepherd at home! I am a college student with a very flexible schedule so feel free to reach out and we can do what is the best for your schedule! I am a very thorough and respectful professional with your best interest in mind! Whatever your expectations are, I will go above and beyond to deliver them.

About: I have had multiple pets all throughout childhood and have greatly loved and cared for each and every one of them. I love to make every animal I encounter feel loved and well cared for! I’m a junior in art school with a flexible schedule for dog walking and pet sitting. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings around my classes. I’m also available for overnight care on both weekdays and weekends, with full availability on Fridays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, or extended stays. I provide attentive, reliable care for pets in their own home, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and maintaining their usual routines. I also keep the home clean and tidy, handle any requested tasks, and give regular updates for peace of mind. My goal is to treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Savannah
Amazing! She was absolutely incredible with our chocolate Lab, Breck. He can be a little crazy, and he had just gotten out of knee surgery, so he came with a lot of special care instructions. She handled everything perfectly and made us feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care. We truly could not recommend her more!

Eli took amazing care of my cat and dog while I was out of town! He went above and beyond to make sure both they were well taken care of and happy. His communication and photos were excellent, and I had zero anxiety about being away from my pets for days, knowing he was taking care of them. He was even available to extend visits after I unexpectedly was delayed for a day. I won’t hesitate to contact Eli again next time I go out out of town!

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. Jakub treated our dogs like his own. He sent pictures and communicated with us during his visit. Jakub handled our special needs pup with great care, and clarified any questions he had regarding our detailed instructions. Our dogs were so happy, and clearly spoiled while he was here. We highly recommended Jakub! He will be our first choice anytime we need a dog sitter.

We came to vacation in Nags Head and needed a sitter for our young (and recently adopted) dog while we went to dinner. Meagan did a great job keeping her calm, took her out a few times and got her to eat (which we had also been struggling with). Would book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
