Pet care experience

Givin pets some pets 💗

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. With 15+ years of experience caring for large dogs, as well as fostering cats and dogs, I am comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I've helped care for newborn kittens, supported animals through surgical recovery, and worked with pets who need extra patience and attention. As a graduate student in Applied Behavior Analysis, I enjoy incorporating gentle, positive reinforcement strategies to support training and good behavior when requested. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in capable hands.

Hello, Lily is a wonderful caretaker of animals. She grew up with 4 cats and a yellow lab. She fostered animals over the last year with successful adoptions. She will continue to be a wonderful caretaker

I can think of no person better for watching my pets other than Lily. As a previous roommate of hers, I have seen her foster cats for 8 consecutive months with extreme care and responsibility. She treats each animal as her own and always makes sure that they are comfortable, safe, and loved. Lily has grown up with cats all of her life and has ample amounts of experience knowing what they need, how to comfort them, and most importantly, knowing and respecting their boundaries. She is really the best when it comes to animals. Also, expect lots of photos of your pet(s) while she is with them. I receive so many updates of her foster cat that used to live with us, it's the best.

Lily is a lifelong animal lover who stops to pet every dog and cat she sees. She has owned both cats and dogs before and is a very responsible pet owner. She has taken in multiple foster cats in the past year and is an excellent foster mom. She has also personally taken care of my two cats while I was away and did a wonderful job.

Lily is the best! She took the best care of our two fosters cats, Gouda and Salsa. She was very diligent about keeping their litter box clean and always making sure their food/water bowls are full! Lily is very attentive and understands the needs of pets! 10/10 would recommend Lily for Rover! Any pet would be lucky to have her!

Safety, trust & environment

I do not currently have any pets in my home, which allows me to provide a calm environment and focus my attention entirely on your pet. If your pet stays in my home, I am happy to maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, medications, bedtime routines, and any training practices you would like continued. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to keep their routine consistent and provide plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection. I believe pets are most comfortable when their daily schedule remains familiar, so I work closely with owners to understand their pet's specific needs and preferences. Regular updates and photos are always provided so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for

A typical day

For dogs, this can include walks, fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, training games, sniff walks, trips to pet-friendly parks (with owner permission), and plenty of playtime tailored to their energy level. For puppies and younger dogs, I enjoy incorporating positive reinforcement training into play to help reinforce good habits. For cats, I provide interactive play with toys, enrichment activities, climbing and exploration opportunities, and plenty of affection if they enjoy attention. I also understand that some pets prefer a quieter environment, so I'm happy to spend time cuddling, brushing, or simply keeping them company. Every pet is different, so I like to learn what they enjoy most and customize activities to their personality, age, and needs. My goal is to make sure they are mentally stimulated, physically active, and comfortable while having fun and staying safe.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, and any medical conditions or allergies. It's also helpful to know their personality, favorite activities, fears, triggers, and how they interact with other animals and people. I appreciate knowing any training cues or house rules you would like me to maintain, as well as any behaviors I should be aware of, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, escape tendencies, reactivity, or special accommodations for puppies or senior pets. The more information you can provide about your pet's needs and preferences, the better I can ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away
