Pet care experience

Givin pets some pets 💗

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. With 15+ years of experience caring for large dogs, as well as fostering cats and dogs, I am comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I've helped care for newborn kittens, supported animals through surgical recovery, and worked with pets who need extra patience and attention. As a graduate student in Applied Behavior Analysis, I enjoy incorporating gentle, positive reinforcement strategies to support training and good behavior when requested. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in capable hands.

Lily did an amazing job taking care of my baby Goose. She gave incredible updates and treated him to trips out socializing which was beautifully photographed. He was incredibly spoiled. She did a great job executing his routine and incorporating tons more fun! Would a million times recommend. Goose was one happy behaved pup with her love and care!

Lily did a fantastic job caring for our two dachshunds, Ollie & Daphne! Our dogs are very sweet but Daphne especially can be a challenge because she tends to pee for any reason (happy, scared) and she did have some accidents. Lily took it in stride and loved on them all night. Lily was great at communicating and sent photos to keep us updated. Thank you, Lily, for providing such great care!

Lily is a deeply caring person who was able to provide high quality care for my anxious dog. I was amazed by her professionalism, as she provided regular images of my pet while explaining her progress with ABA therapy. Lily goes above and beyond!

Lily was amazing and accommodating to my mini dachshund. She has experience with wiener dogs and knows how to hold them and doesn’t let them go up/down stairs for those worried about how particular dachshunds can be.

Safety, trust & environment

I do not currently have any pets in my home, which allows me to provide a calm environment and focus my attention entirely on your pet. If your pet stays in my home, I am happy to maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, medications, bedtime routines, and any training practices you would like continued. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to keep their routine consistent and provide plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection. I believe pets are most comfortable when their daily schedule remains familiar, so I work closely with owners to understand their pet's specific needs and preferences. Regular updates and photos are always provided so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for

A typical day

For dogs, this can include walks, fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, training games, sniff walks, trips to pet-friendly parks (with owner permission), and plenty of playtime tailored to their energy level. For puppies and younger dogs, I enjoy incorporating positive reinforcement training into play to help reinforce good habits. For cats, I provide interactive play with toys, enrichment activities, climbing and exploration opportunities, and plenty of affection if they enjoy attention. I also understand that some pets prefer a quieter environment, so I'm happy to spend time cuddling, brushing, or simply keeping them company. Every pet is different, so I like to learn what they enjoy most and customize activities to their personality, age, and needs. My goal is to make sure they are mentally stimulated, physically active, and comfortable while having fun and staying safe.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, and any medical conditions or allergies. It's also helpful to know their personality, favorite activities, fears, triggers, and how they interact with other animals and people. I appreciate knowing any training cues or house rules you would like me to maintain, as well as any behaviors I should be aware of, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, escape tendencies, reactivity, or special accommodations for puppies or senior pets. The more information you can provide about your pet's needs and preferences, the better I can ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away
