“Emily has been walking Riley while I’m recovering from surgery. She is such a pleasure!! Riley loves his walks with her and whines with excitement when she gets here. Emily posts pictures of their walk and leaves a nice “report card”. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I’m was around 5, I grew up with poodles and we raised them . I would help the neighbors with their cats, dogs, birds and bunnies I currently work for full-time, but on the weekends I enjoy hanging out with dogs. I do enjoy walking them taking to the park having quality time with them. I can provide a fenced yard. There is a park a block away from my home. We can walk to to have open play or play on a leash.Or one on one play in door or in my fenced yard
“Ben was amazing with my two energetic Frenchies! He walked our boys every weekday for about a month so they could get their exercise when I wasn't able to get them out. He was very caring with the dogs, patient (haha), thoughtful, trustworthy, reliable, communicative with me, and flexible with our schedule requests. And my boys loved going out with him. They always came back good and tired! :D We will definitely have him back for more walking and potential sitting soon. Thanks again, Ben!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and taken care of my own, my friends and families dogs while they were away. I am very comfortable around all breeds of dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your pet. I’ve potty trained puppies and taught older untrained dogs how to sit, and I give my dogs a lot of attention and love! I would love to take them to the park to play with other dogs or just a walk around the neighborhood if they’re not as outgoing. I also have experience with administering oral medication and bathing dogs afraid of water, so let me know what accommodations your dog needs. I’m currently working part time for the summer at Cal Poly, and have a catering gig some weekends. I’m available to feed pets multiple times a day, take them on walks mid day/evenings, and keep company overnight. I have a small, fenced yard for pets to stretch out and get sun, and I live right next to Sant Rosa park which is perfect for walking. I’m also available for drop ins at clients homes late night and early morning, although I would prefer not to do overnights.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and currently have a 13 year old dog named Sammy and a 7 year old dog named Martin in Colombia. Being around dogs has taught me a lot about different personalities, routines, and the care they need at different stages of life. I also help care for my friends’ dog, Perry, when they travel, so I have experience with daily routines, giving medication when needed, monitoring feeding and weight, and making sure pets feel comfortable, loved, and safe. I understand that every dog is different, and I would treat your pet with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own. My schedule is flexible and I make time for pet care throughout my week. I understand the importance of consistency, routines, and giving pets the attention they need. I’m committed to making sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while keeping owners updated along the way. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else. I always follow the pet’s routine, feeding instructions, medication schedules if needed, and any specific care requests from owners. I pay close attention to behavior and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm environment.
About: I grew up with bunnies, fish, a tortoise, and three dogs in the house at all times. My family raised 2 puppies and potty trained them. We recently got two cats as well. I’ve had dogs of all sizes, including pit bulls and have loved them all! I have also taken care of pets for family friends and done over night trips to stay with puppies. I am currently getting my Master’s online so I have a very flexible schedule. I am used to taking care of my pets everyday when I was living with my parent. I recently moved back to SLO and would be happy to get back into a new routine. I have a large house with 4 other girls so your pet would feel very loved. I do not have a fenced in back yard but I have a grassy front yard and we live close to a park.
“Genevieve was fantastic with my dog! She was so attentive and patient with all his little quirks, and made him feel really comfortable with her! She checked in and updated me on anything that came up, and she sent the best photos of my dog out on their adventures. I’d HIGHLY recommend her :)”

“Adrienne took wonderful care of my pup Gage! She is clearly a dog lover. The feeling is mutual, Gage is always excited to see her. My dog can be stubborn on walks but Adrienne had no trouble handling him. She clearly has experience with larger dogs and is very responsive and responsible. Highly recommend.”

“Kambry was a life saver for my Bella! It was taking me a lot longer to get home from my trip and Kambry was so nice to last minute take Bella out to play with her pups! Forever grateful”

About: I have been around a variety of different critters all my life. From horses, cats, goats & dogs; I’ve taken care of both paws & claws. I am a full time nomad. My schedule is as free as me. I am able to work wherever and whenever! I am currently raising a puppy and would like to interact and grow more relationships with other dogs for myself and practice for my pup’s socialization. Whether it be cuddles or walks I’d like to give you peace in your thoughts. Your pet can be trusted and safe in my care. “Clare did an awesome job taking care of my dog while I was out of town for several days. She really knows what she's doing and is very reliable. I'm so glad that I found someone I can depend on to take care of my pup. Thank you Clare!”

About: I’ve owned and watched many dogs for friends, family, and clients. As a retired daycare owner I am excited for the opportunity to care for peoples special companions. I am available 7 days a week. I am retired and love spending my free time caring for animals and enjoying the central coast sunshine. I currently do not have any pets but have a wonderful grand dog, Kiva. As a retired daycare owner I know how important it is to keep routines the same without side care as they would receive at home.

That being said, I am available Monday-Friday after 5pm, as well as all day on Saturday and Sunday! I am happy to do overnight stays as well! I currently cannot bring dogs into my own house, but I am more than happy to stay at your home and accommodate to any of your pets needs. Additionally, I have my own car for reliable transport and love to go on long walks or to the dog park!

Madison is a compassionate, friendly, prepared dog walker! She met our dog Nacho, who is a big guy and requires some special attention while walking. She walked him confidently, asked questions about our preferences, and was highly professional. Awesome dog walker who I would trust with my dog and in our home.

Frankenstein, my Irish Wolfhound, had a great time with Danny at Morro Strand Beach, celebrating his fourth Birthday! Danny is kind, punctual, patient, flexible, and reliable. She exceeded all expectations. I recommend Danny to anyone who needs assistance with their beloved dogs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
