Your Pet’s Fav Animal Sci student

Hi! I'm a senior Animal Science student at Cal Poly with over four years of pet sitting experience. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet like they're my own. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing outside, or relaxing at home, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, multi-pet households, and administering oral medications. I know every pet has a different personality and routine, so I always take the time to follow your instructions and keep things as consistent as possible. You'll also receive plenty of photos and updates, so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and in good hands.

Safety, trust & environment

I understand that trusting someone with your home and pets is a big decision. My goal is to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both you and your pets. I stick closely to each pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I'm comfortable with energetic dogs, senior pets, and homes with multiple animals, and I always pay close attention to their behavior so I can recognize when something seems off. As an Animal Science student, I've gained experience handling and caring for animals in a variety of settings, which has taught me the importance of patience, observation, and safe animal handling. Whether your pet wants to stay active or simply have someone nearby while you're away, I'll make sure they receive the attention and care they need.

Carly is an absolute rockstar. Our Dog food got infested with Ants and she problem solved and got it all worked out. The dogs loved her. She communicated often and lovely so we new our puppies were having a little vacation of their own. Thanks so much Carly!

Carly is very sweet and Parker had a great walk with her. Since they got along so well, I’ll be keeping Carly on hand for dog sitting needs.

Carly did a great job giving our boys the love and attention they are used to! She also did a great job sending pics and asking questions when clarification was helpful. We will absolutely invite her to come back!

Schedule

I’m a full-time Animal Science student at Cal Poly, so caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life. My schedule is flexible outside of class, which allows me to plan walks, check-ins, or pet sitting visits throughout the day. I’m typically only away for class for a few hours at a time, so I’m able to spend plenty of time with pets making sure they’re comfortable, exercised, and getting attention. I enjoy incorporating walks, playtime, and care into my routine and making sure each pet gets the time and care they need.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, and activity level so I can keep their routine as consistent as possible. It’s also helpful to know about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or special care instructions. I always ask about a pet’s personality and behavior, including how they interact with new people, other animals, or unfamiliar environments. I also like to know about any triggers, fears, or training cues that help keep them comfortable and safe. Emergency contact information for the owner and veterinarian is important as well.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
