About: I've worked with many kinds of dogs, big and small, as I have my own lovely pup and volunteer with dogs at the shelter frequently. I am currently in school at Cal Poly, but am the most available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On the weekends, I am available both days in Lompoc. At home, my dog gets 30-65 minute long walks depending on what he feels like and weather. I try to provide the dogs at the shelter with the same thing.

About: I have tons of animal experience, from chickens to horses and everything in between. Many of my high school years were spent in dog and cat rescue, and I have taken multiple animal science courses in college so I am very comfortable with a wide range of medical and behavioral needs. I'm not scared off by or wary of animals that might need more time to warm up. I'm also very active and outdoorsy and am always looking to have an animal join me on my various adventures and outings if that is what they are into. I work with dogs and cats of all sizes, energy levels, and ages, and can give oral medication, injections, or do bladder expression if needed. I am currently on summer break from my college classes and working part-time remotely from home, so I have a lot of flexibility in terms of scheduling. I’m comfortable playing, feeding, giving medication, crating, or anything else your pet might need. I treat all animals with the love and respect they deserve.

About: Hi! I’m a graduate student in Animal Behavior & Welfare working on my thesis in wildlife detection dogs from home. I’ve worked with dogs & cats for 10 years and have trained dogs for 8, including service dogs through a professional nonprofit organization. I have raised countless puppies in this time, so I can certainly help properly socialize your puppy so they can grow up to be the best version of themself. I also compete in dog sports for fun with my dogs, two working line German shepherds and one husky mix. So I’m well equipped to care for dogs that are… “a lot!” I’m on my way to becoming an Applied Animal Behaviorist and have finished all my coursework in behavior with a 4.0 GPA, so when your pets come with me, they’ll benefit from my extensive knowledge on understanding behavior and maximizing welfare. My prices might be a little higher than others, but I promise it will be worth it for the level of care & expertise I provide! I’m home full time as I finish my thesis remotely. The animals I care for come first, whether it be early morning potty breaks or afternoon activities. My schedule is flexible and I have ample time to give your pets the attention they need, while also giving them quiet time to rest in a private space. When pets stay with me, they have their own spare bedroom to sleep in. They can have a crate in there, or stay loose in the room and sleep on the bed. We have a small yard, so I opt to take dogs out 4 times a day to potty in a small park right outside my front door. We can play here too! A lot of dogs like to sunbathe in our yard, including my own. I have three dogs who all have different preferences in their dog friends, so it’s likely your dog will find a best friend here. Or, if your dog prefers not to be around other dogs, that’s no problem either. They can hang out with just me! I always use long lines and either harnesses or safely fitted collars to walk dogs, so they can have maximum freedom to express themselves while also staying safe and comfortable.

About: I have had a dog since I was 8, but I have always been surrounded by various animals. I have taken care of not only my own dog but also those belonging to my family and neighbors, gaining valuable experience in the process. I attended all of my dog's puppy training classes and learned from the trainer how to teach her numerous tricks. Additionally, I have assisted my friends in training their puppies to acquire essential skills and even taught them a few tricks, such as rolling over. Moreover, I volunteered at Animal Assisted Happiness, where I provided care for a variety of animals, including bunnies, goats, chickens, horses, and more. I currently work part-time, which allows me some flexibility to take care of your dogs. My availability includes all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday but it may vary from week to week, but I am usually able to accommodate your needs. Taking walks is a favorite activity of mine, and I'll ensure your dog gets plenty of outdoor time and opportunities to explore with long sniffs during our walks. Keeping their hydration in mind, I always make sure the water bowl is filled. Additionally, I prioritize their comfort by providing timely potty breaks and opportunities to go outside as needed.

About: I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was 10, from dog sitting and overnight stays to taking care of horses. I’ve also helped raise and puppy train through Freedom Service Dogs. I’m comfortable with animals of all kinds and genuinely love getting to know each one! I am currently in school at cal poly so every day my schedule varies with a maximum of 4 hours of class a day, but I will be able to be home throughout the day and able to spend the majority of every day with your pet. I don’t have any pets in the home with me while at school although i miss my own so much, so I would just focus on taking care of your pet and loving it like it’s my own. I don’t have a yard but would be able to frequently take for a long walks to a park or short potty breaks to any grass area near me.

Growing up, we often had two dogs at a time, so I helped with feeding, walking, playtime, and providing daily care from a young age. I volunteer Monday afternoons at The Marine Mammal Center, but I'm otherwise available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting.
