“Shelby did a wonderful job during the drop-in visit with Cooper! Every instruction was followed carefully, and it was clear that a lot of attention and care went into making sure Cooper felt comfortable and happy. Shelby was both professional and incredibly kind, creating such a positive experience from start to finish. It’s such a relief knowing Cooper is in such loving and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“Sarah saved the day! Actually 2 days ... and now, she's my go-to for daily care for my babes. We're currently in an Inn at Pismo Beach while our furniture is in transit and in the meantime I had to start my new position so leaving them in a strange place was a no-no. I found Sarah last minute and from the very first 10 minutes, I knew she was safe, kind, and very capable of managing not one, but 2 (one being 85 lbs)! They loved her from the first minute they met her! Look no further. She's the one.”

“Bonnie is great with my kittens. She keeps the schedule and has outstanding communication skills. I appreciate her flexibility and desire to do what is best for the kittens and pet parents.”

“Josie is the best with my cat! She is exceptionally kind and very caring. She was prompt with communication and attentive to the various med / food needs of my geriatric cat. So happy I found such a great cat sitter - thanks Josie!”

“Analiese took great care in making sure to entertain my kitty while I was away. This is my second time booking with her, and she was great at sending photos with updates every morning — I trust her and will boom with her again!”

“Riley was amazing with our pets. Also we had some flight issues so came in later than planned and she was able to jump in to do a couple extra drop-ins. She also managed to get great videos and pics of the animals while we were gone which is definitely appreciated :)”

Over the years, I’ve worked with pets of all personalities and routines, and I’m very attentive, adaptable, and detail-oriented in my care. I’m also comfortable handling more sensitive or unexpected situations, and always stay calm, present, and proactive. I naturally build strong, lasting relationships with both pets and their owners, creating a level of trust that keeps clients coming back. My goal is to create a safe, consistent, and genuinely comfortable experience for every pet, while making sure owners feel informed, confident, and completely at ease. My days naturally revolve around caring for the pets I’m trusted with, while giving my clients true peace of mind; I genuinely love what I do. I build genuine, lasting bonds with each pet, taking the time to understand their personality, needs, and little quirks. I create a calm, comfortable environment where your pet feels safe, understood, and truly cared for with consistent attention, quality time, and lots of love. I’m very attentive when it comes to communication and keeping you updated. You can expect consistent, thoughtful updates with photos so you always feel connected and at ease while you’re away. About: Dogs are sent from God to make human lives complete. I'm lucky to have 1 well-adjusted one. It's a privilege to spend time around dogs; I treat them with respect and also have expectations for them. The result: a happy pack! (When you're making your dog care choice, please know I prefer dogs who are potty / house trained & treated for flea / tick). Dogs are like my children. They're having fun and learning at the same time. Exercise, water, attention and play time is what makes a good dog! They're a priority when they're with me and no decisions are made without considering how it affects my dog / dogs. I understand each dog is unique; they have their own personality and experiences which make them who they are. That being said, there isn't a "cookie cutter" way to treat a dog. Knowing each one, what they fear or love, what it takes to make them happy is what makes for a good outcome. My ultimate goal is for your dog to leap out of your car when he / she arrives at my home or sees me walk through your door.
“Caitlin is simply phenomenal. I am very lucky to have found her through Rover. I thought long and hard about how I could write a review that really conveys how excellent she is, words are not going to cut it. She was so professional and trustworthy from the get go, I felt really comfortable and she certainly delivered. I really appreciated all the report cards, pictures, immediate responses to texts/communication, and flexibility. She was wonderful. She even without hesitation stayed the night last minute when my travel plans prevented me from coming back on time, really a lifesaver and I appreciate the flexibility. Caitlin is very smart, has integrity, can be completly trusted, and has great judgement. I can’t reccomend her enough and will be using her again. Thanks so much Caitlin, you're the best. -Wesley & Kona”

“We booked Jo to cat sit our one cat for a little more than a week. It was our first time having a cat sitter, and Jo was outstanding the whole duration. We had well written updates every visit with multiple pictures of our girl. Jo has a great eye for detail and diligently tended to our cat's needs. Jo was greatly accommodating and even left her a couple of well appreciated goodbye gifts. We were confident from Day 1 and the whole way through that we were in good hands. We'll be looking into Jo's availability the next time we need a cat sitter.”

Bonnie provided amazing care for my cat, Leeloo, whike we were on vacation. It was our first real trip in years and I was nervous about how Leeloo would fare without us. Bonnie's updates every day and the photos she sent eased my mind and warmed my heart. When we returned Leeloo was happy and content. I am looking forward to future trips now that I know Bonnie will be there for my girl.

This is the second time Alanna has cared for Percy, my dog, and once again it has been wonderful! She is amazing at communication, was so gracious to accept a request with less than a week’s notice, and takes incredible care of Percy. I would definitely book with her again!

This was my first time using Rover, and my first time using Loren. I was so nervous.! but she made me feel so comfortable and took great care of my girls (I have two ginger cats). I can’t say enough good things about her and I will definitely use her again. Thank you so much, Loren! 🥰

Riley checked in on our 4 cats while we were in holiday for 1.5 weeks. She was AWESOME! So attentive to our cats and their needs/environment, very communicative (we loved and appreciated her updates and Photos) and was very kind. We felt that our kitties were in wonderful hands. Would highly recommend!

Shelby did an outstanding job and I would definitely book again. Communication was great, lots of photos with a detailed breakdown of the visit. Took lots of notes during the initial meet and greet. Punctual with all visits. I felt no stress at work with my pets care. My dog and cat both seemed to love their company! Would definitely re-book.

We found Madison to be conscientious, on time and very caring towards our kitty. Her communication was excellent and we were very happy with the service. We feel better planning future trips knowing we have someone to take care of a special member of the family!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
