“Bonnie is great with my kittens. She keeps the schedule and has outstanding communication skills. I appreciate her flexibility and desire to do what is best for the kittens and pet parents.”

About: I don’t have any of my own, but throughout my childhood we had 1-2 dogs at all times. I’ve always loved dogs, but my apartment won’t allow them so now I live vicariously through this app. I have weekends off and work from 7a- 3:30p daily so afternoon walks or pet sitting can be arranged around that. I’d love to add some walks with a pet. I’d be happy to help care for a pet in their own home. I work during the day, but would be overjoyed to have a pet at home to take care of.
“Sarah was fantastic! I felt very confident my pup would be in good hands with her. My dog is older and has some different needs, and Sarah had experience with this which was so reassuring. I will definitely book with her again in the future. Thank you Sarah!”

“Shelby did a wonderful job during the drop-in visit with Cooper! Every instruction was followed carefully, and it was clear that a lot of attention and care went into making sure Cooper felt comfortable and happy. Shelby was both professional and incredibly kind, creating such a positive experience from start to finish. It’s such a relief knowing Cooper is in such loving and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“Riley has been such a great help with Max, we both work full time and sometimes our schedules do not align and Riley has been that savior for us!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. Max has been having some tummy issues as Great Danes do and didn’t hesitate to step in and help clean up one of his accidents 🥲🥲. Could be more grateful 🫶🏽”

“Hannah was such a delight to work with! She went above and beyond in caring for my pup and my home. I came home to a happy dog! Thanks so much Hannah, Betsy can’t wait to hang with you again!”

“Caitlin is simply phenomenal. I am very lucky to have found her through Rover. I thought long and hard about how I could write a review that really conveys how excellent she is, words are not going to cut it. She was so professional and trustworthy from the get go, I felt really comfortable and she certainly delivered. I really appreciated all the report cards, pictures, immediate responses to texts/communication, and flexibility. She was wonderful. She even without hesitation stayed the night last minute when my travel plans prevented me from coming back on time, really a lifesaver and I appreciate the flexibility. Caitlin is very smart, has integrity, can be completly trusted, and has great judgement. I can’t reccomend her enough and will be using her again. Thanks so much Caitlin, you're the best. -Wesley & Kona”
“Kayla was great with my cat, Otto! He’s a bit nervous with new people but she was very patient and understanding with him. It was my longest trip away from Otto but she gave me regular updates for every visit and answered any questions I had while I was out. It was good to know my boy was well taken care of so I’ll be booking with Kayla again in the future!”

About: I have always pet and house sat for neighbors, family friends, my family. I am a home body and enjoy watching over and protecting people's homes and beloved animals while they are away. I am always apprehensive leaving my pets alone with a stranger, that is why I strive to make people feel safe and comfortable. I have always been an animal person and have done pet-sitting as a favor to people. I figured, now as a nineteen year old, why not make it a nice little side hustle to earn some extra money for college. I live in Solvang California and I work a part time job on the weekdays. Other than that I can walk dogs, do drop in visits and I can stay in your house to watch over your animals. Each pet is unique, I appreciate when owners walk me through their routine, leave notes and emergency contact info, if anything were to happen. I want to make both the animals and owners comfortable, and like everyone to be on the same page. Communication is very valuable.
About: I have worked in dog grooming for years and have a lot of knowledge. I have also watched clients dogs from when I worked in dog grooming. I am a college student home for break and I am completely open whenever you would need me and I have two dogs of my own. I currently have two pitties and a snake who I take care of. While i was working in grooming, I had a client who I would watch his dog on the side as well.
About: I have had many types of pets. Such as fish, bunnies, turtles, bird, cats and a dog. I have took a few training classes on how to make my dog successful. She has many titles. She’s also an advanced trick dog. So I’m willing to teach any dog some tricks if wanted. Not only do I have experience but I’m also willing to be affordable to. I will work around your prices. Dont be afraid to ask Im a SAHM and have plenty of free time. I can do drop ins and walks in the weekends and daycare and boarding all week When doing drop ins in your home I will follow all instructions to care for your pets. I do positive reinforcement so leave your pups favorite treats out. Lots of attention and play will be provided
About: While going to college I walked approximately 10 dogs (individually) per month with occasional 3 dogs at a time. I’m comfortable with all size dogs; Chihuahua to Great Danes. If the dog likes to run, I’m up for that too. I like to be active and I know some dogs need a good run to get out their energy. I’m open to pet care. My house is pet friendly, and has a backyard enclosed with a 6 ft fence, gate that locks and a grassy area. I care for pets as if they were my own. I can give baths, make sure they are fed on time - including medication, and bathroom breaks, and most importantly walks or runs.
About: Not only have I had dogs and cats as family members for the last 40 years, I've taken care of friends and family's dogs and cats. I was blessed to have Max for 17 years, a gentle boy who was blind and deaf in his senior years. If your pet has special needs I am confident I can give them the proper care needed. I currently have 2 dogs, a poodle pup who is an adorable and fun little rascal and a sweet terrior mix who is my walking buddy. They will be cared for at home by my husband if I'm taking care of your pet. I'm very active and happy to be retired. I love spending time walking my dogs and being with the 24/7 which of course is not possible when you're working or traveling. I understand how important your best friend is in good hands while you're at work or away and I'll be available to walk your dog as needed. My drop by visits include feeding, fresh water, potty and exercise breaks. I'll follow your instructions and "house rules" as requested. If your dog or cat has special needs or requires medication they are in good hands. If your dog likes to take long walks or fetch a ball at the dog park I'm in!
About: I’ve had dogs and cat for the last 7-8 years. They have been so good to us and we’ve enjoyed them more than I imagined. I have a business that I’ve owned for seven years and I’m able to make my own schedule. Also, my homeschooled kids are home and willing to help if I ever need it. I have done 20+ years of babysitting and childcare in my home and other peoples homes. Plus, I’ve had clients that I have worked for and have trusted me with their keys to their home for seven years.
“We booked Jo to cat sit our one cat for a little more than a week. It was our first time having a cat sitter, and Jo was outstanding the whole duration. We had well written updates every visit with multiple pictures of our girl. Jo has a great eye for detail and diligently tended to our cat's needs. Jo was greatly accommodating and even left her a couple of well appreciated goodbye gifts. We were confident from Day 1 and the whole way through that we were in good hands. We'll be looking into Jo's availability the next time we need a cat sitter.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Arroyo Grande
This was my first time using Rover, and my first time using Loren. I was so nervous.! but she made me feel so comfortable and took great care of my girls (I have two ginger cats). I can’t say enough good things about her and I will definitely use her again. Thank you so much, Loren! 🥰

Our first time having Sarah watch our 2 cats. It was a great experience. She is professional, follows directions and is conscientious. We received detailed notes from her visits w pictures of our cats and the tasks that she took care of. Thank you. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Riley checked in on our 4 cats while we were in holiday for 1.5 weeks. She was AWESOME! So attentive to our cats and their needs/environment, very communicative (we loved and appreciated her updates and Photos) and was very kind. We felt that our kitties were in wonderful hands. Would highly recommend!

Shelby did an outstanding job and I would definitely book again. Communication was great, lots of photos with a detailed breakdown of the visit. Took lots of notes during the initial meet and greet. Punctual with all visits. I felt no stress at work with my pets care. My dog and cat both seemed to love their company! Would definitely re-book.

We found Madison to be conscientious, on time and very caring towards our kitty. Her communication was excellent and we were very happy with the service. We feel better planning future trips knowing we have someone to take care of a special member of the family!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
