“Sarah saved the day! Actually 2 days ... and now, she's my go-to for daily care for my babes. We're currently in an Inn at Pismo Beach while our furniture is in transit and in the meantime I had to start my new position so leaving them in a strange place was a no-no. I found Sarah last minute and from the very first 10 minutes, I knew she was safe, kind, and very capable of managing not one, but 2 (one being 85 lbs)! They loved her from the first minute they met her! Look no further. She's the one.”

“Kayla took great care of my two cats while we were away! It was very comforting to know that they were being looked after by a fellow cat-lover. One of my cats can be a little feisty, but Kayla was patient with him and got along with him just fine. We highly recommend Kayla to anyone looking for a great sitter!”

“Analiese took great care in making sure to entertain my kitty while I was away. This is my second time booking with her, and she was great at sending photos with updates every morning — I trust her and will boom with her again!”

“Bonnie is great with my kittens. She keeps the schedule and has outstanding communication skills. I appreciate her flexibility and desire to do what is best for the kittens and pet parents.”

“If you're looking for a great Rover experience then I would highly recommend Alanna. Alanna did a wonderful job in not only taking care of our cat, but went above and beyond in helping us with our packages that came to our house while we were out. Not only did she do that without hesitation, but also brought in our trash cans. Our cat loved her and we greatly appreciate all the actions that Alanna did to make our travel experience less stressful. I don't normally write reviews so this tells you everything that you need to know about Alanna. She is great and will go above and beyond in your Rover experience. We will be booking for sure with her in the future.”

“Josie is the best with my cat! She is exceptionally kind and very caring. She was prompt with communication and attentive to the various med / food needs of my geriatric cat. So happy I found such a great cat sitter - thanks Josie!”

“Travis is the best!!!! We feel so confident leaving our cat in his care! He is professional, loving, and so responsible! Our kitty is very shy and timid but took to Travis amazingly well. Truly, he is the cat whisperer! Thank you Travis!”

“He still won't finish his dinner tonight, but we are very glad that you were there giving him exercise. Moore has a suitcase out so he's probably a little grumpy not knowing what's gonna happen. Thank you Zara.”

“We booked Jo to cat sit our one cat for a little more than a week. It was our first time having a cat sitter, and Jo was outstanding the whole duration. We had well written updates every visit with multiple pictures of our girl. Jo has a great eye for detail and diligently tended to our cat's needs. Jo was greatly accommodating and even left her a couple of well appreciated goodbye gifts. We were confident from Day 1 and the whole way through that we were in good hands. We'll be looking into Jo's availability the next time we need a cat sitter.”

About: I’ve had many pets my entire life, I’ve been pet sitting since I was 12 years old, and currently work at a Pet Boarding/Daycare Facility. I’m a college student and working part-time at a local Pet Resort and would love to spend my free time helping and hanging out with even more animals! I will always do my best to fit as much time to care for your pets in my schedule as needed and as we’ve discussed. I think it’s important to follow your pet’s routine as to keep them as comfortable as possible, whether it be a strict schedule for me to adhere to, or a casual go-with-the-flow kind of deal, I will always do what’s best for your pets.

“Joshuah has visited our cat several times and is always great with communication and photos, and spends a lot of time just letting our old cat sit on his lap. Very thankful!”

“Hannah is really great to work with. She is professional, responsible, kind and dependable. She has a way with animals. My shy, semi feral kitty fell in love with her after a couple of days. That's remarkable! I highly recommend Hannah to sit for your pets.”

“Aline was fantastic! She was easy to communicate with and was willing to work with Finn's training commands. Finn is reactive towards dogs but I felt at ease with Aline walking him! Will definitely be booking for future walks!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and taken care of my own, my friends and families dogs while they were away. I am very comfortable around all breeds of dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your pet. I’ve potty trained puppies and taught older untrained dogs how to sit, and I give my dogs a lot of attention and love! I would love to take them to the park to play with other dogs or just a walk around the neighborhood if they’re not as outgoing. I also have experience with administering oral medication and bathing dogs afraid of water, so let me know what accommodations your dog needs. I’m currently working part time for the summer at Cal Poly, and have a catering gig some weekends. I’m available to feed pets multiple times a day, take them on walks mid day/evenings, and keep company overnight. I have a small, fenced yard for pets to stretch out and get sun, and I live right next to Sant Rosa park which is perfect for walking. I’m also available for drop ins at clients homes late night and early morning, although I would prefer not to do overnights.

Hannah was great! It really allowed me to relax knowing my kitty was taken care of. You can tell she loves animals and is very responsible. Her communication was great and she went out of her way to make sure my kitty got everything that he would get if I were there. ❤️
Riley checked in on our 4 cats while we were in holiday for 1.5 weeks. She was AWESOME! So attentive to our cats and their needs/environment, very communicative (we loved and appreciated her updates and Photos) and was very kind. We felt that our kitties were in wonderful hands. Would highly recommend!

Shelby did an outstanding job and I would definitely book again. Communication was great, lots of photos with a detailed breakdown of the visit. Took lots of notes during the initial meet and greet. Punctual with all visits. I felt no stress at work with my pets care. My dog and cat both seemed to love their company! Would definitely re-book.

We found Madison to be conscientious, on time and very caring towards our kitty. Her communication was excellent and we were very happy with the service. We feel better planning future trips knowing we have someone to take care of a special member of the family!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grover Beach. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
