“Shelby did a wonderful job during the drop-in visit with Cooper! Every instruction was followed carefully, and it was clear that a lot of attention and care went into making sure Cooper felt comfortable and happy. Shelby was both professional and incredibly kind, creating such a positive experience from start to finish. It’s such a relief knowing Cooper is in such loving and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“Sarah saved the day! Actually 2 days ... and now, she's my go-to for daily care for my babes. We're currently in an Inn at Pismo Beach while our furniture is in transit and in the meantime I had to start my new position so leaving them in a strange place was a no-no. I found Sarah last minute and from the very first 10 minutes, I knew she was safe, kind, and very capable of managing not one, but 2 (one being 85 lbs)! They loved her from the first minute they met her! Look no further. She's the one.”

“Analiese took great care in making sure to entertain my kitty while I was away. This is my second time booking with her, and she was great at sending photos with updates every morning — I trust her and will boom with her again!”

“Alanna did a great job taking care of my baby girl Bobo. Bobo was so excited to see her! She also helped me take care of my packages. Definitely will come back to her again!”

“Bonnie is great with my kittens. She keeps the schedule and has outstanding communication skills. I appreciate her flexibility and desire to do what is best for the kittens and pet parents.”

About: I grew up with animals and have always had a special connection with them. I have worked with animals of all walks of life in an animal shelter & truly enjoy getting to witness their success. When working at the animal shelter I used to take dogs on walks and to the play pens where they would socialize with potential new families and other dogs. While they were in the play pens it was my job to ensure things ran smoothly and to deescalate any situations that might arise. Being able to celebrate in an animals victories and see how much they have grown & learned over time is like nothing else! I am wholly committed to anything your pet may need during our time together, no interruptions unless there is an emergency. If you have any questions about availability outside of my specified time frames please feel free to reach out and I will see what I can do! I would never do something to put your animals in harms way, I am incredibly thorough and will follow any specified instructions. If I have any questions about your pets needs I will be sure to seek clarification before taking any actions.
“Josie is the best with my cat! She is exceptionally kind and very caring. She was prompt with communication and attentive to the various med / food needs of my geriatric cat. So happy I found such a great cat sitter - thanks Josie!”

“Kayla was great with my cat, Otto! He’s a bit nervous with new people but she was very patient and understanding with him. It was my longest trip away from Otto but she gave me regular updates for every visit and answered any questions I had while I was out. It was good to know my boy was well taken care of so I’ll be booking with Kayla again in the future!”

About: While going to college I walked approximately 10 dogs (individually) per month with occasional 3 dogs at a time. I’m comfortable with all size dogs; Chihuahua to Great Danes. If the dog likes to run, I’m up for that too. I like to be active and I know some dogs need a good run to get out their energy. I’m open to pet care. My house is pet friendly, and has a backyard enclosed with a 6 ft fence, gate that locks and a grassy area. I care for pets as if they were my own. I can give baths, make sure they are fed on time - including medication, and bathroom breaks, and most importantly walks or runs.
About: My care philosophy is simple: I treat every pet as the family member they are, providing individualized care and attention. This allows me to confidently handle pets with complex needs and guarantees they continue their routine without interruption. You get the highest 'Gold Standard' of care, ensuring peace of mind for you and happy paws for them. Currently, I am best available for care, walks, feeding, etc in the morning and evening hours, as well as weekends. “We booked Jo to cat sit our one cat for a little more than a week. It was our first time having a cat sitter, and Jo was outstanding the whole duration. We had well written updates every visit with multiple pictures of our girl. Jo has a great eye for detail and diligently tended to our cat's needs. Jo was greatly accommodating and even left her a couple of well appreciated goodbye gifts. We were confident from Day 1 and the whole way through that we were in good hands. We'll be looking into Jo's availability the next time we need a cat sitter.”

About: Not only have I had dogs and cats as family members for the last 40 years, I've taken care of friends and family's dogs and cats. I was blessed to have Max for 17 years, a gentle boy who was blind and deaf in his senior years. If your pet has special needs I am confident I can give them the proper care needed. I currently have 2 dogs, a poodle pup who is an adorable and fun little rascal and a sweet terrior mix who is my walking buddy. They will be cared for at home by my husband if I'm taking care of your pet. I'm very active and happy to be retired. I love spending time walking my dogs and being with the 24/7 which of course is not possible when you're working or traveling. I understand how important your best friend is in good hands while you're at work or away and I'll be available to walk your dog as needed. My drop by visits include feeding, fresh water, potty and exercise breaks. I'll follow your instructions and "house rules" as requested. If your dog or cat has special needs or requires medication they are in good hands. If your dog likes to take long walks or fetch a ball at the dog park I'm in!
About: I’ve had a few steady pet sitting/walking jobs in the last few years. I worked as a dog walker for an amazing woman in Malibu for her 5 dogs and walked 5x a week ~3.5 hours a day. I’ve also done many overnight stays in people’s homes for their cats/dogs when they are out for weekend getaways or longer vacations. I have my own dog (Stormy, Chow 2.5 years old) and absolutely love her to death! I’d love to spend time with your pets whether they just want companionship, walks, playtime, or hiking/beach adventures. I’ve had experience with high energy, low energy, various breeds, you name it. Send me a message if you have any questions to see if I would be a good fit for your fur baby. I am a full-time graduate student at Cal Poly but will have free time in between to do some dog walking or drop in visits. Coming into your home I will treat your pets just as I would treat my own, with all the love and care in the world!(: Each individual circumstance depends on the client’s and pet’s needs and will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
“I was very comfortable leaving my dogs in Darians care. He had a meet n greet with me n then prior, which helped any worry factor! He clearly loves dogs and is good with them. This was a drop in visit, but he went thru all the motions and sent a report and pics. I would definitely use him again !!”

“We were visiting SLO with our dogs and were in need of a pet sitter. I came across Sandy’s profile and reached out. Sandy graciously said she’d watch our babies. I am so glad we went with Sandy. She was talented, knowledgeable and very educational. She took great care of our babies and sent many great photos. I highly recommend Sandy as your sitter and I’d gladly use her services again.”

Hannah was great! It really allowed me to relax knowing my kitty was taken care of. You can tell she loves animals and is very responsible. Her communication was great and she went out of her way to make sure my kitty got everything that he would get if I were there. ❤️
Riley checked in on our 4 cats while we were in holiday for 1.5 weeks. She was AWESOME! So attentive to our cats and their needs/environment, very communicative (we loved and appreciated her updates and Photos) and was very kind. We felt that our kitties were in wonderful hands. Would highly recommend!

Shelby did an outstanding job and I would definitely book again. Communication was great, lots of photos with a detailed breakdown of the visit. Took lots of notes during the initial meet and greet. Punctual with all visits. I felt no stress at work with my pets care. My dog and cat both seemed to love their company! Would definitely re-book.

We found Madison to be conscientious, on time and very caring towards our kitty. Her communication was excellent and we were very happy with the service. We feel better planning future trips knowing we have someone to take care of a special member of the family!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
