About: I've had dogs my entire life and have over 19 years of hands-on experience caring for them. Growing up, we often had two dogs at a time, so I helped with feeding, walking, playtime, and providing daily care from a young age. I'm comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. My schedule is currently very flexible, allowing me to provide attentive care throughout the week. I volunteer Monday afternoons at The Marine Mammal Center, but I'm otherwise available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. While I have a few weekends already committed, I'm happy to work with you to find times that fit both our schedules. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, follow your instructions carefully, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I believe every animal is different, and I always strive to create a calm, positive environment where they feel safe and cared for.

About: I’ve helped out with both cats and dogs. I’ve been a dog/cat owner, sitter, and walker throughout my life. I love animals and will welcome them with open arms! I have a hybrid schedule so I’m remote Thursday-Sunday! I usually am only out of the house for an hour or two, and would enjoy bringing them along if they’re comfortable! I have a fully fenced yard, no grass, so there will be frequent walks! I enjoy having animals close by so will allow them in my room and on furniture near me!

About: I have hands-on pet care experience for two dogs, a Rottweiler and a pit bull mix, at home and volunteering 3 years caring for adoptable dogs for Animal Rescue Recon including daily feeding, walking, and clean up with varying temperaments, energy levels, and needs. As a full-time student at Cal Poly, my schedule allows me to be available Friday through Sunday to dedicate my time to feeding, walking, playtime, and providing reliable care for dogs. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining the dog’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide timely feeding, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I closely monitor each pets’ behavior, follow any specific instructions, cleanliness, and clear communication with pet owners.
About: I’ve pet sat my neighbors pets (1 dog and 1 cat) for 7 years. I love taking dogs out for walks and seeing them interact with nature and other passing animals. I have a 4 year old cat named Basil and I used to have a pet hedgehog named Pepper. Nothing brings me more joy than being around animals! I work remotely (east coast hours) during the week are flexible so im up early and can stop by in between calls and anytime in the afternoon as my day slows down after 2pm. Weekends are usually fully open. I think the most important thing is to build trust with your pet and with you! Let’s chat so you can get to know me and talk about the rules you want followed in your home and with your fur baby!
“Emily was great with our dog, Moseley. He clearly loved his time with her. Emily was very communicative and prompt. She had a lovely, calm energy to her. We felt very comfortable knowing our dog was in good hands.”

About: I am a life long dog lover and have had many dogs over the years (work travel prevents me from ownership right now). Over the years my household (me, adult son, grand daughter (6)) have adopted or fostered a wide variety of dogs from a puppy to be trained and moved on to forever home to senior dogs who ultimately ended up with their forever home right here. I am excellent at giving medication (was a LPN for humans), long walks that I enjoy as much as the dog, and am open to any dog related service your dog may need. I will always treat your dog like the wonderful individual they are. I am open to any size dog and ANY breed (I have great relationships with pit bulls, Chihuahua's, and other high difficulty breads) We will discuss your system of punishment and reward so that we are on the same page. Feel free to contact me with any questions I am a work from home writer, artist, photographer, and journalist, so I have lots of open time. I do travel for work in the summer months which does leave some days completely unavailable, but otherwise ready to walk from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. There is no other way to say it, I love dogs and will treat your dog with more respect than most humans receive. The walks will be well planned and any care will be exactly what you requested.
“Zara was punctual, professional, and genuinely loves animals. You can tell she truly enjoys spending time with the pets she cares for. She went over all the details with me carefully and made sure nothing was missed. Highly recommend!”

About: Lifelong pet lover and pet mom offering fun walks, playful energy, and a safe environment. I’ll treat your furry family member just like my own! Working part-time for the school district leaves my afternoons and weekends wide open and completely dedicated to feeding, walking, chilling and playing with your pets. I treat every home and pet with the utmost respect. Safety means constant supervision, secure environments, and clear communication. I strictly follow your house rules and pet routines to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable.
“I accidentally put the wrong time and she was very willing to come early. Unfortunately cooper wake up from his nap as soon as we left but she did a very good job tiring him out. She did amazing with and I would definitely book again!”

About: I’ve had experience caring for large dogs my whole life and currently handle most of the day-to-day care for my own dog, so I’m very comfortable with feeding routines, walks, exercise, and keeping dogs happy and well-behaved. I’ve also been pet sitting since high school, caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. What sets me apart is how attentive and hands-on I am. I treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m especially confident with bigger dogs and can adapt to each dog’s routine, whether that means active playtime or a calmer, more relaxed environment. Until early June, I have school and work during the week, along with some busy weekends, but I’m still available for pet care with enough notice and can work around my schedule. Starting in the summer, I’ll have a much more open and flexible schedule and am looking to take on more pet sitting opportunities. I’m happy to accommodate different routines and make sure your pet gets consistent, reliable care. I provide a clean, safe, and cozy environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. I’m a very active person, so I love taking dogs on walks and making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. I also make time for calmer moments, like relaxing and giving pets the affection and companionship they’re used to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their usual routine to help them feel at ease, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions. My goal is always to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I have fostered two kittens in my current apartment, as well as cared for a dog and two cats in my previous home. I love animals! I am working a part time job in Paso Robles, but shifts are usually mid morning to early evening. I work a few days out of the week, and otherwise I have free time to spend with the pet(s)! I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect that I would my own. I always follow each pet's routine, make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of attention, and a safe, comfortable environment while you're away. I'm dependable, communicative, and happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind. I work 3–4 days a week, and my evenings are usually very open, giving me plenty of flexibility and quality time to spend with your pets.
About: I’ve pet-sat dogs, cats, geckos, and fish for over six years. Two of my best friends—Biscuit and Cheerio—were rescued from the SPCA, and they sparked my love for animal care. I treat every pet like family and love getting to know their unique personalities. I bring a calm, attentive approach, and always prioritize trust, communication, and genuine care—for both pets and their people. I just finished my junior year at Cal Poly, where I’m pre-med and play for the Cal Poly Women's Soccer team. During the summer and off-season, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate focused time to pet care. I love having dogs around as part of my daily routine—walks, playtime, and companionship fit perfectly into my active lifestyle. You can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and fully present with your pets. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety and comfort always come first. I follow feeding routines, medication needs, and any special instructions exactly as provided. I make sure pets have a calm, clean space and keep a close eye on their behavior and well-being. I believe trust is built through clear communication, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and check-ins. My goal is to make your pet feel secure and loved—just like they would at home.
About: I am a third-year Animal Science major on the pre-veterinary track at Cal Poly, and I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and cats and learned early on how meaningful it is to care for them. Over the years, I’ve gained experience working with many different types of dogs and cats, along with medical and hands-on knowledge from volunteering at veterinary clinics and animal shelters. These experiences have shaped my passion for animal care and have encouraged me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I have class most days, but I am available in the mornings before 12:00 pm as well as the afternoons around 4:00 Pm on Mon&Wed and after 5 on Tues&Thurs. I am free most of the day on Fridays as well as weekends. I am comfortable with a lot of different dogs and cats, as well as other pets. I am a caring and nurturing person with pets and love every animal. I am also knowledgeable about administering medication if that is something that your pet needs.

About: I've cared for animals of all kinds for as long as I can remember, and working with pets has always been something I'm passionate about. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, and other animals with a wide range of personalities, temperaments, and care needs. In addition to pet care, I have plenty of experience house sitting and understand the importance of keeping a home safe, clean, and well-maintained while owners are away. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would my own. I've also volunteered with Guide Dogs for the Blind and local animal shelters, where I gained hands-on experience working with animals of all ages, sizes, and demeanors. These experiences have taught me patience, reliability, and how to respond calmly to each animal's unique needs. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and anxious, or somewhere in between, I'm confident in providing compassionate, attentive care to help them feel comfortable and loved while you're away. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pets and home are in caring, responsible hands. I'm currently a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and also work part-time, so my daytime schedule varies from week to week. However, I often have long breaks between classes and work, which allows me to stop by throughout the day if your pet needs a potty break, feeding, medication, or some extra attention. Most mornings, I leave around 8:30 a.m., but I'm typically in and out during the day before returning for the evening around 4:00 p.m. From then on, I'm home consistently for the rest of the night. I'll always communicate my schedule in advance so you know exactly when your pet will be cared for. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and household instructions, and I always make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a clean environment. I respect every home as if it were my own, keeping it tidy and secure throughout my stay. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and receiving the care they deserve.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Chorro
Bella is amazing! Although we were nervous trying a new sitter, Bella made us feel comfortable immediately. Her communication was great and we received lots of pictures. She followed our instructions and our cat was happy when we arrived home. I highly recommend Bella and we will definitely use her again in the future.

Sophia was absolutely amazing! Gary was so happy to see her each day! She took such good care of Gary and followed all the instructions I left perfectly! She even helped me avoid some crises when Gary knocked over my TV she made sure everything was ok! I would highly recommend booking with her and I will definitely be using her again!

As fellow cat people know, leaving the kitties alone when you travel can be stressful, but having Lynn-Marie look after them gives me such a sense of relief. She is incredibly conscientious, stays in frequent communication, and always sends photos to reassure that things are going well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
