“We will be returning, Louis was absolutely amazing with Terror. From the minute we showed up Terror was so comfortable with him, Louis sent photos of him during the stay and took him on a much needed walk. I was so nervous leaving Terror but all of that went away when I met Louis. Terror stayed for a couple of hours while we celebrated my parents anniversary. Thank you again Louis!!!!!”

About: I have tons of animal experience, from chickens to horses and everything in between. Many of my high school years were spent in dog and cat rescue, and I have taken multiple animal science courses in college so I am very comfortable with a wide range of medical and behavioral needs. I'm not scared off by or wary of animals that might need more time to warm up. I'm also very active and outdoorsy and am always looking to have an animal join me on my various adventures and outings if that is what they are into. I work with dogs and cats of all sizes, energy levels, and ages, and can give oral medication, injections, or do bladder expression if needed. I am currently on summer break from my college classes and working part-time remotely from home, so I have a lot of flexibility in terms of scheduling. I’m comfortable playing, feeding, giving medication, crating, or anything else your pet might need. I treat all animals with the love and respect they deserve.

About: Active and attentive family available to provide multiple levels of care for your fur baby! Our nine-year-old is interested in starting a dog walking business (with support from mom or dad), and we are also able to board a friendly dog who would be sharing space with our elderly dog or do drop-ins/ house sit when more appropriate (not the whole family!). We can provide exercise through walks, on-leash hikes, or whatever works for your dog. I’ve been around dogs most of my life and am comfortable with all ages (puppy to elderly). Our child is in a hybrid homeschool program so someone is home most days throughout the day to keep your pet company. Our child is a hybrid homeschool program so we are home 4 days a week all day and gone for an hour or two on school days for drop off and pick up. We have a fenced yard and live close to dog friendly beaches and trails. If you have a cat you need a sitter for, we are available for drop-ins or to stay at your residence because our dog has strong opinions about the feline species.

“Leaving Harmony with someone new was honestly one of the hardest things I have ever done. She has never stayed with a stranger before, and I was incredibly nervous about leaving her for nine days while I traveled to Orlando for my nephew’s graduation. From the very beginning, Sandra was kind, communicative, and reassuring. A few days into my trip, Harmony became very sick with diarrhea, vomiting, and accidents in Sandra’s apartment, including blood in her stool. I felt terrible that Harmony was sick and also horrible that Sandra was having to deal with such a stressful situation in her home. What stood out to me was Sandra’s level of care and compassion. She never made me feel like Harmony was a burden. Instead, she immediately went to the store to get pumpkin to help settle her stomach, kept me updated constantly, and when things worsened, she let me know she believed Harmony needed to see a vet. Sandra took Harmony to the vet herself, called me from the appointment, and even put me on speakerphone so I could speak directly with the veterinarian and be part of the conversation every step of the way. Multiple times I asked Sandra if she thought I needed to come home early, and she told me she would absolutely tell me if she felt that was necessary. Because of Sandra, I was able to stay and watch my nephew graduate knowing Harmony was safe, cared for, and genuinely loved while I was away. Not once did I question whether Harmony was receiving the best care possible. I came home today to a well cared for dog, and I truly cannot thank Sandra enough. If you are looking for someone who will treat your pet like family and handle even difficult situations with patience, compassion, and professionalism, book Sandra. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“5 Stars for Tatum. I could tell that our pup Stompy was in good hands because his tail was wagging furiously when first meeting Tatum and her partner. We were sent some fun photos of Stompy playing and relaxing at a local Dog Beach and learned that he was comfortable enough to get into the water which is a first for our dog who has always had a water phobia. We returned to find a very happy dog. I highly recommend Tatum. She is a dog whisperer!”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled with our first experience using Rover, and it’s all thanks to our incredible sitter, Cami! As first-time users, we were a little nervous leaving our 7-month-old miniature dachshund, but from the very beginning, Cami made us feel completely at ease. Communication was excellent—frequent updates and adorable photos enabled us to enjoy our time away from the lil ween without worrying about him. It was obvious that Cami genuinely cared for him and understood the quirks of a young, energetic dachshund. She was patient, attentive, and provided a safe and fun environment for him to explore, play, and nap like a champ. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, loving, and truly exceptional with dogs—especially pups with high energy—look no further. We will book again and feel so lucky to have found Cami, whom we can trust completely with our fur baby! Highly, highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

Eva gave my doggie the best time while I attended a wedding where no dogs were allowed for the weekend! I could not believe how happy he was with her. This was clearly visible in the many photos and updates Eva sent. I was almost a little jealous at how comfortable and happy Clifford was. I had been nervous because Clifford is very attached to me and I thought he would pine for me. No way! I had a better time at the wedding knowing Clifford was being loved and cared for as well or better than I could do!!!! Thank you, Eva.

Bo’s first time with Douglas.. it could not have been better. I never leave Bo but Douglas made it easy. He sent pictures and videos and you could see Bo was having the best time, he love that yard he could really run fast and perform 😊 And before we left Bo got up behind him on the couch and put his head on Doug’s shoulder a final head scratch and I’m pretty sure he was telling Douglas THANK YOU!

Kate is a fantastic sitter! She went above and beyond for Cooper, even taking him to his favorite dog park at Magnuson Park so he could get some time in the water. This is the first time I left my dog Cooper with anybody. I am so happy that we found Katrina. She and her housemates were amazing , and they took phenomenal care of Cooper. She continued to give me updates and cute photos of him while we were out of town. I'm sad that she's graduating (but happy for her) and moving on. She's a great dog sitter.❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Dog Boarding in Chorro is $41 per night as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $30 and $72 per night. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 193 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Chorro. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

95% of sitters in Chorro can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Chorro home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Chorro.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chorro. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

You and your Chorro sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
