“Tara and her family took excellent care of our dog Gabby while we were away. Lots of walks, cuddles and extra attention. We also received daily updates and photos. We would absolutely book with them again.”

About: I have traveled a lot in the past and as a dog owner I understand the need for reliable and affordable dog care. As a teacher I have the summer off, so I am home most of the time right now and would love to offer that care to your furry friend. I have a house with a fenced in backyard and a wonderful 10-year-old husky mix who plays well with small-to-large sized dogs. I live with my husband who will be home in the evenings and on weekends, but I will be the only one providing care. If your dog(s) are friendly with other dogs, I look forward to hosting them! Meal times are usually 7:30 am and 6:30 pm. Walks in the am or pm depending on the heat. A fenced in backyard means your pup can let themselves out whenever they need relief. My husband and I have a house with an 8-foot fence and a friendly husky mix to keep your dog(s) company. Our dog is a lover of trash, so we are very careful to keep food out of reach and the trash can locked.
“Andrew met us and our dogs before their stay. He accommodated an early drop off and responded immediately to all of our texts. He is easy to work with and we will certainly request him again.”

“Katie was so wonderful! My dog came home relaxed and tired from all the fun. I can tell she was properly cared for and given a lot of attention and exercise. I was so grateful for Katie’s kindness and understanding of my special, quirky dog.”

“Sarah was absolutely amazing taking care of Atlas over the long weekend. She was even accommodating to pick up an extra day when you flight plans changed. Absolutely would recommend again!”
“Natalie and her daughter gave my dog excellent care and lots of love. Natalie also promptly refunded a days fee when I returned a day early! As a Rover host myself, I highly recommend Natalie.”

“Rachel was absolutely wonderful!! She sent me updates & photos of my little guy while I was away to let me know he was okay. I knew he would be the moment I met her but it was still very nice to see his face for reassurance. I will definitely book her again if I’m back in the area. Thank you Rachel 😊”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I’m was around 5, I grew up with poodles and we raised them . I would help the neighbors with their cats, dogs, birds and bunnies I currently work for full-time, but on the weekends I enjoy hanging out with dogs. I do enjoy walking them taking to the park having quality time with them. I can provide a fenced yard. There is a park a block away from my home. We can walk to to have open play or play on a leash.Or one on one play in door or in my fenced yard
“I am so thankful that i found her before my vacation. I met her and her dog before we decide the boarding. She made sure both of us, the dogs were comfortable and okay with the house, new dynamics. And she's been sending photos of my dog daily + always been communicating proactively.”

“Lauren was so wonderful throughout Bear’s stay! We had a few last minute changes and she was so accommodating and communicative throughout the whole process. You could tell how knowledgeable she is about taking care of animals and she made the extra effort to make sure Bear was happy and comfortable throughout his whole stay.”

About: I have fostered two kittens in my current apartment, as well as cared for a dog and two cats in my previous home. I love animals! I am working a part time job in Paso Robles, but shifts are usually mid morning to early evening. I work a few days out of the week, and otherwise I have free time to spend with the pet(s)! I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect that I would my own. I always follow each pet's routine, make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of attention, and a safe, comfortable environment while you're away. I'm dependable, communicative, and happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind. I work 3–4 days a week, and my evenings are usually very open, giving me plenty of flexibility and quality time to spend with your pets.

About: I’ve helped out with both cats and dogs. I’ve been a dog/cat owner, sitter, and walker throughout my life. I love animals and will welcome them with open arms! I have a hybrid schedule so I’m remote Thursday-Sunday! I usually am only out of the house for an hour or two, and would enjoy bringing them along if they’re comfortable! I have a fully fenced yard, no grass, so there will be frequent walks! I enjoy having animals close by so will allow them in my room and on furniture near me!
“Had a last minute booking with Josh, he was very kind and accommodating. Onyx seemed like he was very well taken care of & had a lot of fun in Josh’s yard and playing with his dogs! Thank you again!”

About: I like to walk the dogs daily around the Atascadero Lake. I have a decent size fenced backyard with room to run and use my poop scooper daily. I am retired and looking for things to do during the week (mon-Fri) to fill my days. I have always loved the company of dogs and love to take them on daily walks. I have a dog bed in my bedroom, where your dog would sleep at night. The dogs water bowl is always kept clean and fresh. The dogs would always be welcome to hang out in the house with me, too.
“Kambry was very responsive and was able to watch for our dog Goose on short notice for the evening. Goose can be uneasy and reactive, but Kambry was able to handle everything super well with care and understanding. She is definitely an experienced sitter and I recommend her to anyone searching in the SLO area!”

About: I have real, everyday experience caring for multiple dogs at once, including my own three, so I’m very comfortable handling different temperaments, energy levels, and routines. I’m used to everything from playful, high-energy dogs to more anxious or shy ones, and I adjust my care based on what each dog needs. I’m confident with feeding routines, potty schedules, and reinforcing basic training, and I always keep a close eye on behavior to make sure every dog is safe and comfortable. What sets me apart is my ability to manage multiple dogs while still giving each one individual attention and care. I already care for my own dogs daily, so adding pet care into my routine is a natural fit. I’m home often and able to provide regular potty breaks, feeding, and attention throughout the day. Dogs staying with me won’t be left alone for long and will be part of a consistent, comfortable routine. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I can accommodate both weekday and weekend bookings. I make sure every dog gets plenty of attention and feels safe and cared for while they’re with me. I provide a safe, clean, and structured environment where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. I have a fenced yard for secure outdoor time and always supervise dogs while they’re outside to ensure their safety. In my home, I carefully manage introductions and monitor interactions to make sure all dogs get along and feel comfortable. I also have crates available if needed, whether for sleeping, downtime, or to match a dog’s normal routine. I stick closely to each dog’s schedule, including feeding times, potty breaks, and any specific care instructions provided by the owner. Dogs in my care are never left alone for long periods, and I always keep a close eye on behavior to make sure everyone stays safe and stress-free. What sets me apart is how attentive I am to each dog’s individual needs. Whether a dog is energetic, shy, or needs extra patience, I make sure they feel secure, cared for, and right at home.
“Wolfie enjoyed his stay at Kiara’ place. The entire family is really friendly and treated Wolfie as one of the family members. The house is clean and has big enough space for dogs. Def will recommend to others!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Morro Bay
We couldn’t be more thrilled with our first experience using Rover, and it’s all thanks to our incredible sitter, Cami! As first-time users, we were a little nervous leaving our 7-month-old miniature dachshund, but from the very beginning, Cami made us feel completely at ease. Communication was excellent—frequent updates and adorable photos enabled us to enjoy our time away from the lil ween without worrying about him. It was obvious that Cami genuinely cared for him and understood the quirks of a young, energetic dachshund. She was patient, attentive, and provided a safe and fun environment for him to explore, play, and nap like a champ. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, loving, and truly exceptional with dogs—especially pups with high energy—look no further. We will book again and feel so lucky to have found Cami, whom we can trust completely with our fur baby! Highly, highly recommend! 🐾❤️

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
