Not only has she owned and fostered cats and dogs her entire life, but she has also provided pet sitting for Homer, our very special (and now elderly) cat on many occasions. Homer gets overstimulated easily, can come across as grumpy, likes to boss his people around, is indoor/outdoor, and fundamentally prefers males. And yet, during our 6-week cross country trip, Alexis stayed at our home and regularly sent photos of Homer happily (so happily I occasionally told my husband "he doesn't do that for us!") hanging out with her and really not missing us at all! Having been around cats forever, Alexis knows what to be concerned about and what is normal. She gives the right amount of attention, and we come home to a well-adjusted cat. About: I’ve taken care of our cats and dogs from both rescues to pure breeds since 2008. My partner and I most recently rescued a 4 week old kitten who she had found that was not eating, barely moving and was bloodied. I’m proud to say she’s now about 4 months old and you would never even think she had ever been anything but the healthiest and happiest cat ever. We love her like one of our own and treat her and the pets in our lives like the family they deserve to be treated as. Note that my partner will not be involved in the care taking experience, only myself (Jacob) will be. I care for our rescued kitten which includes a morning and afternoon feeding both before and after work. We tend to play for anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour in the evenings but otherwise will take an afternoon walk which she sometimes will loosely follow behind. Otherwise, she loves the indoors so that’s mostly where we interact. I feed our cat twice a day regularly and ensure it’s up to date on de-worming and flee medications. I’m quick to asses needs such as her cyst which was removed the instant it was spotted. I enjoy going on walks and would love to walk your dog or enjoy play time with your cat to make sure they’re in-shape and healthy.
