I have had pets my entire life and consider my pets family. I have experience with all types of animals from horses, alpacas, and other livestock, to dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, and birds. Though I don’t currently have a dog, I have had many canine companions in the past and am the go-to dog sitter for friends and family. Big or small, I love all dogs and their unique personalities. My current critter family includes one elderly cat (who hates dogs), a Greek tortoise, and five hens who mostly stay in the backyard except when my kiddo sneaks them in the house. As a teenager I helped out at a veterinarian’s office doing the hard and dirty work and have a full appreciation for the less pleasant side of caring for our animal loved ones. Participating in 4H as a youth helped me build skills and best practices for safely caring for a wide variety of animals. I love playing with dogs and cats, taking dogs for walks/hikes/to the beach, and snuggling kitties that need cuddles. I’m happy to take your dog fast and far or enjoy a lazy sniff-every-bush walk depending on what is needed. Every pet I have met has their own personality and I enjoy getting to know them and making them feel comfortable and safe so their humans can feel confident being away.
