I’m Kari, mom of three kids with a lifelong passion for animals. I spent years working hands-on with all kinds of creatures big and small. My background includes: • Former Emergency Vet Tech at a busy Los Angeles animal hospital • Professional Dog Trainer (corporate-level experience with obedience & behavior) • Animal Science student at Pierce College Farm • Attended Moorpark College (high school program) and enrolled in their prestigious Zoo Program • Wildlife rehab & rescue volunteer, plus extensive foster care experience • Former homesteader (Highland cows, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl & more!) • Even worked in biotechnology caring for keyhole limpets (marine invertebrates ) Now that I’m home in Morro Bay after 4 years in the el dorado forest , I’d love to share my skills with neighbors who need help with their pets. No job is too small, I’m happy to come by just to scoop some poop, litter, give some love or medication! I’m reliable, knowledgeable, and truly love caring for animals as if they’re my own. Whether you need help while at work, on vacation, or just a hand with daily care, I’d be honored to support you and your pets.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. Since I only provide care in your home or on walks, you can feel confident that your pet stays in their familiar environment where they’re happiest and least stressed. I follow your routines closely, from feeding to medication, and I’m experienced in handling pets with special needs. On walks, I use secure leashes, keep a close eye on surroundings, and treat every animal as if they were my own. You can trust that your pets will be cared for with love, reliability, and professional experience every time.

Kari was wonderful. Rod loved her to death and even my Mean little Bird wanted to come out and get scratched. I can’t thank you enough it’s very stressful when I have to leave for more than a few days. I will definitely be using Carrie services again thank you so much.

Schedule
I’m a homeschooling mom, which means my days are flexible and I can usually work around your pet’s needs. I’m home most of the time, so I’m able to offer regular walks, drop-ins, or just extra love and company throughout the day. Whether you need early mornings, midday visits, or evening care, I’m happy to adjust my schedule to fit yours.
