About: I’ve always been known as that person who animas just tend to trust. I’ve been told on many occasions how certain animals don’t like people but for whatever reason they give me a chance and I love when I get to show them love and prove that their fur babies made the right choice trusting me. Even when I was a baby I used surround myself with all sorts of animals because I love all of them so much. I hope to have the opportunity to give all the love I can to all the animals willing to give me a chance. I do take night classes Monday- Thursday typically from about 4-7 and I work Mondays and weekends. I’m very flexible but Tuesday-Thursdays are usually best. From how I’ve been described by others, I’m a very friendly, trusting, and loving person and everyone and their pets can expect that from me as well. As far as other peoples houses and everything I like to leave things the way I found it or better.
About: I currently work at a dog kennel in San Luis Obispo. I volunteer at the department of animal services and walk dogs that are available for adoption and I’ve worked in 3 different veterinary hospitals I have a part time job in San Luis Obispo , so I’m available in the afternoons and evenings. My days off are usually pretty open. I have 2 fenced in patios. So pets can go outside and be protected. My personal cat is able to go outside and get some sun.

I genuinely enjoy being around animals and making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while their owners are away. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walks, medications, and behavior, and I provide lots of care, patience, and attention.

I am an easy going person, I love to do any outdoor activity as well as making music.I am very communicative and compassionate. I hope you choose me to help take care of your pet! I enjoy spending most of my time around animals and with friends and doing any outdoor activities! I am very observational (as I’ve been told by many bosses) so I will make sure to be very aware of what your pet is feeling. I also am very communicative so will ask if anything comes up!
About: Hello and welcome! My name is Paige I’ve owned and loved animals for as long as I can remember. While most of my experience is from owning dogs and cats from a very young age, I also have a few years of experience caring for horses, donkeys, chickens and even reptiles! Animals have always brought me so much joy and I consider myself so blessed any opportunity I get to care for them. I’m currently working in sales and marketing remotely. I have such a love for animals and am looking for a daily, flexible side job I can do that’ll compliment my remote work. I walk my dog multiple times a day both at home and at the beach. I am a big believer in making sure the animals in my care get plenty of exercise. I also care for a chameleon and two leopard geckos, daily.
About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for pets with different needs—from energetic puppies to older dogs needing gentle walks or medication. I’m attentive, calm, and detail-oriented, making sure every pet feels secure and loved while you’re away. You can count on me for reliable communication and genuine care every time. I'm currently working a part time job and available anytime after 4pm on Sundays and anytime before 4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and free the rest of the week and very flexible on any time you need. My own two dogs, two decently sized border collies, one very energetic, one lazy, who have a whole backyard to themselves along with a kennel in the garage connected by a doggy door to the backyard! I feed them two times a day and walk them at least once a day, and constantly check their water bowls.
“Cami did a great job with Ella despite the fact that she had only been away from her family (including our older dog) a few times. She was calm and relaxed when Cami brought her back from her outing. I would definitely recommend her and would use her in the future without any concerns at all. Thanks for a great job Cami!”

About: Animals have always been one of the greatest teachers in my life. Through my work as a shepherd and livestock caretaker, I’ve learned that every animal has its own language, personality, and needs. Working alongside livestock guardian dogs especially taught me the value of patience, observation, and earning an animal’s trust rather than demanding it. I love taking the time to get to know each pet as an individual and providing the kind of attentive, reliable care that helps both pets and their people feel at ease. I currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and pet care visits. My schedule varies somewhat, but I do my best to be reliable, communicative, and consistent with each pet’s routine. I’m an active person who enjoys being outdoors, so I love spending time walking dogs, playing with them, or simply keeping them company while their owners are away. I believe pets do best when they can stick to their normal routine. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications, and any specific instructions closely. Through my work with livestock and livestock guardian dogs, I’ve learned to pay attention to animal behavior and pick up on subtle changes that may indicate something is off. Most importantly, I want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated along the way with messages and photos.
About: I have a large courtyard so your animal can thrive in an outdoor area with no room for error. I work remotely most days and enjoy sun and ball throws in between my sessions. Our cats are indoor/outdoor and love to sun bathe with my puppy and I. Who can join in on the fun?! I send my doggie to TiredTails at least once a week leaving an empty nest for someone else to enjoy our home M-Th. I work primarily from home with 1-1.5 hour gaps to not only keep your pup company but allowing time for walks and even a beach day! My cats are used to keeping their distance around dogs, we have a fenced courtyard with plenty of space for throwing the ball and dog tunnel runs! I’m hoping to find the right fit and someone who can keep my little dachshund company while their owner is getting some day time work done! I’m flexible and happy to help just the way others help me from time to time!

“Samantha is the best! She was so flexible and willing to take our dog on late night walks while we were out at EDC. We trusted her with our hotel room key and the trust was put in good hands! Everything was just as we left it and she was thoughtful enough to leave the key card in our room after the last walk. We could tell our doggy was happy and well taken care of from both the photos and his demeanor when we’d come back. We got so lucky finding Samantha. Thank you so much!!”

“Elly has been very reliable taking care of our baby. My dog is a mix pittie and Elly has been working on better leash behavior. She writes the best reports after each walk. My pup is very happy to see her and I’m glad I found a great sitter since we are new to the area.”

Colleen is wonderful! I have 2 big Goldens and they are very energetic! When I get home, they are still tired from the walk they took with Colleen. I’ve never trusted anyone to take my dogs and I’m so glad I trusted Colleen. Thank you so much for giving me piece of mind when I’m away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
