Marla is so calm and kind- her love of dogs shows in the great care she gave our two pups! This was the first time we left one of our dogs with a sitter and he seemed to do so well and clearly happy with the care. We hope to have Marla back to take care of our pups on our next trip away.

Two weeks late with this review here. Marissa was awesome. Felt at ease while my girl was under her care. Marissa was professional keeping me updated with progress and photos. If you're looking to book in Atascadero, I wouldn't hesitate on letting her be your top choice in pup care. I'll certainly book again when in the are. Thank you for taking care of my little girl!

About: I like to walk the dogs daily around the Atascadero Lake. I have a decent size fenced backyard with room to run and use my poop scooper daily. I am retired and looking for things to do during the week (mon-Fri) to fill my days. I have always loved the company of dogs and love to take them on daily walks. I have a dog bed in my bedroom, where your dog would sleep at night. The dogs water bowl is always kept clean and fresh. The dogs would always be welcome to hang out in the house with me, too.

About: I have been a dog owner since childhood and grew up in farm country Wisconsin so animals have a fond place in my heart. I've been involved in animal rescue for over 15 years as well as working as a dog trainer in the past. I believe in positive training and reward system. Your fur baby will be treated as if they are part of my own pack, spoiled with love. My work schedule is very flexible as I work from home so your pet will always be cared and looked after. I know your pets are family and should be treated as such and that's priority #1 when your pet is with me. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. Both my animals and yours will be a priority and always have companionship from myself and my puppy I have a large enclosed backyard for fresh air and sunning but always visible to watch them. I’m very alert and aware on walks and hikes at all times as well

Lauren was very helpful and communicative. We were visiting from out of town which makes finding a sitter stressful, especially with our dog’s anxiety. We trusted Lauren completely and our dog was happy and well-taken care of the entire time. I would recommend Lauren if you are looking for a dog sitter!

Robyn is a dog Lover through and through. I think she had as much energy as our dogs. Gave treats, toys, and sent home w blankies. We boarded 3 dogs with her overnight during graduation day. Tight quarters for our 2 retriever mixes but I felt she was engaging with them the whole time as she sent pics of the day together. Thanks for freeing us up for our important day w our daughter.

This was the perfect environment and care for my very very social and energetic dog. At one point.my dog was experiencing some anxiety, so upon request, they remedied this with mixing some.pumpkin with her food. This was tjsn the perfect balance for her moving through the rest of her visit. This is my first booking using Rover since other dog boarding facilities were becoming to hard on her nervous system. I am bery happy I did! If I am ever in need of care again in this location I wouldnt hesitate to use these sweet humans! The children in the home also really added to Calis visit, bringing mutual joy during the entire stay. Thanks Tara and Jed, and family!

About: I have real, everyday experience caring for multiple dogs at once, including my own three, so I’m very comfortable handling different temperaments, energy levels, and routines. I’m used to everything from playful, high-energy dogs to more anxious or shy ones, and I adjust my care based on what each dog needs. I’m confident with feeding routines, potty schedules, and reinforcing basic training, and I always keep a close eye on behavior to make sure every dog is safe and comfortable. What sets me apart is my ability to manage multiple dogs while still giving each one individual attention and care. I already care for my own dogs daily, so adding pet care into my routine is a natural fit. I’m home often and able to provide regular potty breaks, feeding, and attention throughout the day. Dogs staying with me won’t be left alone for long and will be part of a consistent, comfortable routine. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I can accommodate both weekday and weekend bookings. I make sure every dog gets plenty of attention and feels safe and cared for while they’re with me. I provide a safe, clean, and structured environment where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. I have a fenced yard for secure outdoor time and always supervise dogs while they’re outside to ensure their safety. In my home, I carefully manage introductions and monitor interactions to make sure all dogs get along and feel comfortable. I also have crates available if needed, whether for sleeping, downtime, or to match a dog’s normal routine. I stick closely to each dog’s schedule, including feeding times, potty breaks, and any specific care instructions provided by the owner. Dogs in my care are never left alone for long periods, and I always keep a close eye on behavior to make sure everyone stays safe and stress-free. What sets me apart is how attentive I am to each dog’s individual needs. Whether a dog is energetic, shy, or needs extra patience, I make sure they feel secure, cared for, and right at home.

About: I have traveled a lot in the past and as a dog owner I understand the need for reliable and affordable dog care. As a teacher I have the summer off, so I am home most of the time right now and would love to offer that care to your furry friend. I have a house with a fenced in backyard and a wonderful 10-year-old husky mix who plays well with small-to-large sized dogs. I live with my husband who will be home in the evenings and on weekends, but I will be the only one providing care. If your dog(s) are friendly with other dogs, I look forward to hosting them! Meal times are usually 7:30 am and 6:30 pm. Walks in the am or pm depending on the heat. A fenced in backyard means your pup can let themselves out whenever they need relief. My husband and I have a house with an 8-foot fence and a friendly husky mix to keep your dog(s) company. Our dog is a lover of trash, so we are very careful to keep food out of reach and the trash can locked.

This is the first time we have boarded Gracie since the passing of her sister. She has had separation anxiety issues and we were concerned that she might have a difficult time without us. Douglas offered to have Gracie visit him before our trip to familiarize herself with his home. He was very patient with her and as a result Gracie had a wonderful time with Douglas and Pepe.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Paso Robles home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
