“She was absolutely amazing with the dogs! She took such great care of them and treated them like they were her own. She was very kind, caring, and attentive, and I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pets! 🐶💕”
“This was our first time scheduling overnight stays with Jenna. She was amazing! Not only did she get us out of a last minute bind, but she cared for our girl like one of her own. She communicated with us daily and sent pictures updates. She put our minds at ease knowing Birdie was in such good hands. We will definitely schedule her in the future!”

“My wife and I love this lady. We have an immensely energetic puppy, Chava, who we need to train as a service dog. Madelyn has been a godsend, taking very good care of Chava and helping us with sound advice. Check out her other services; she doesn't just board.”

About: I have been a dog owner since childhood and grew up in farm country Wisconsin so animals have a fond place in my heart. I've been involved in animal rescue for over 15 years as well as working as a dog trainer in the past. I believe in positive training and reward system. Your fur baby will be treated as if they are part of my own pack, spoiled with love. My work schedule is very flexible as I work from home so your pet will always be cared and looked after. I know your pets are family and should be treated as such and that's priority #1 when your pet is with me. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. Both my animals and yours will be a priority and always have companionship from myself and my puppy I have a large enclosed backyard for fresh air and sunning but always visible to watch them. I’m very alert and aware on walks and hikes at all times as well
“Thanks so much Janice for first meeting and greeting us before the visit and sending lots of photos during! Sammie was so happy to be there he didn’t want to leave. Your backyard is beautiful and doggy friendly, including this Houdini!”

“Katie was so wonderful! My dog came home relaxed and tired from all the fun. I can tell she was properly cared for and given a lot of attention and exercise. I was so grateful for Katie’s kindness and understanding of my special, quirky dog.”

“Marissa is an incredibly understanding, communicative, accommodating and trustworthy dog sitter. My dog has behavioral issues and she went out of her way to meet us twice before having our first overnight stay. She knows her way around e-collars which is incredibly helpful for pups like mine that have gone through a board and stay boot camp. I’d recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!”
About: I have always been around animals, whether that is cats or dogs. I enjoy house sitting and would love to help anyone that needs a sitter/ walker! I also enjoy helping around the house so feel free to ask me! I currently am working part time so I have plenty of available time. I am free every night, and can work in other times that are needed. I have a fenced yard and an extra crate to keep your pet safe. I have one friendly dog that loves to have company around.
“Patty is THE BEST! Lynk has soooo much fun hanging out with her. Usually she’s super duper sad when I go out of town, but when she realizes she’s going to Patty’s ranch while I’m away, she gets stoked! It makes me so happy knowing Lynk is having a fun time.”

“Cara was great with Karma and I would not hesitate at all using her services again. She sent me updates with photos on a regular basis, letting me know Karma was doing great and enjoying her new environment. Thank you so much; would highly recommend this kind and caring sitter.”

“5 Stars for Tatum. I could tell that our pup Stompy was in good hands because his tail was wagging furiously when first meeting Tatum and her partner. We were sent some fun photos of Stompy playing and relaxing at a local Dog Beach and learned that he was comfortable enough to get into the water which is a first for our dog who has always had a water phobia. We returned to find a very happy dog. I highly recommend Tatum. She is a dog whisperer!”

“Hao was amazing at taking care of Felix. he sent me a whole bunch of photos and videos every day. he took Felix on walks and to the dog park every day Felix looked very happy and at home he took very good care of Felix as if he was part of his own family. I really appreciate Hao and would highly recommend him!”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled with our first experience using Rover, and it’s all thanks to our incredible sitter, Cami! As first-time users, we were a little nervous leaving our 7-month-old miniature dachshund, but from the very beginning, Cami made us feel completely at ease. Communication was excellent—frequent updates and adorable photos enabled us to enjoy our time away from the lil ween without worrying about him. It was obvious that Cami genuinely cared for him and understood the quirks of a young, energetic dachshund. She was patient, attentive, and provided a safe and fun environment for him to explore, play, and nap like a champ. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, loving, and truly exceptional with dogs—especially pups with high energy—look no further. We will book again and feel so lucky to have found Cami, whom we can trust completely with our fur baby! Highly, highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

“Kara was great with both our energetic bigger pup and our little senior dog. We got pictures of them having a blast with their doggy friends and getting cozy in blankets together. They both came back tired and happy. We would recommend Kara to anyone looking for a great doggy stay!”
“Isabelle was amazing. Super communicative and shared photos / updates during the week. She kept my dog business and well cared for and was flexible with a pre-sit meeting as well as flexible with pick up and drop off times. Would highly reccomend Isabelle for future sitting needs.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Whitley Gardens home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Whitley Gardens.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Whitley Gardens sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
