About: I love all kinds of animals! My first cat followed me home in kindergarten, and I got my first dog at 11. I nursed her through cancer during college and she died in my arms in 2022. I currently have 6 pets (5 rescues) — 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 rabbits! I spend my free time training them, loving them, and proving enrichment. I have plenty of experience from the puppy age to senior care, and everything in between. I work full time Monday through Friday, but am free on the weekends to stay home with your pups! I have plenty of time for dog walking & play. I have a large fenced yard, and a cozy house for your pets to stay. There is plenty of room to play with or stay away from the other small animals in my home.

About: I like to walk the dogs daily around the Atascadero Lake. I have a decent size fenced backyard with room to run and use my poop scooper daily. I am retired and looking for things to do during the week (mon-Fri) to fill my days. I have always loved the company of dogs and love to take them on daily walks. I have a dog bed in my bedroom, where your dog would sleep at night. The dogs water bowl is always kept clean and fresh. The dogs would always be welcome to hang out in the house with me, too.

“I cannot be more pleased with the care Sara provided for my very senior dog, Kona. Kona stayed with Sara for 5 days and appeared to adapt quickly to Sara and her house. Without asking, Sara took the initiative sending updates and images of Kona throughout her stay. Sara quickly replied to my inquiries before and during Kona's stay. One of the reasons why I initially chose Sara, was the experience she listed as working in a veterinary's office and the fact that she put together a very thorough bio describing her background in working with animals. I was initially considering a kennel in Arroyo Grande but was concerned that being in a large kennel environment would be hard on a senior dog like my Kona. With Sara's veterinary experience, she felt that a quieter home environment would be easier on a senior dog, without me bringing up this concern of mine. About: Have grown up around animals my whole life. Been house siting for about 3 years now. Continually leaning about animals characteristics and the best way to care for them. “All I can say is WOW! This was my first time using Rover and it was absolutely incredible. I expect this was a rare Rover experience - because we seriously could not have asked for more. My girlfriend and I were in town for a weekend getaway and wanted to check out some non dog-friendly wineries during the afternoon/evening on a Saturday. We saw Amanda's listing and crossed our fingers with our last minute Friday night booking. Amanda responded within the hour letting us know she would be happy to watch over him for the day. Her communication was professional and her availability flexible. Let me tell you... Amanda's place is an absolute wonderland for an adventure dog. She has a ton of property for your dog to run around on ... and animals galore! Our husky (Myth) got to meet horses, donkeys, ostriches, cats, chickens ... and more! This was an amazing experience for him (as a city dog that only gets to play with other dogs at the dog park). I can't imagine another scenario where he would have got to interact and play with such a diverse array of animals. Amanda clearly knows how to handle animals as well. She briefed us on her background training and handling all sorts of different animals and then backed it up with hourly videos showing us a new trick she had taught Myth - or a fun picture/video of Myth playing with one of her other animals (shoutout to her new dog Anakin who is an absolute good boy and new best friend of Myth's). She even asked us if it was okay to take Myth to the dog park. Her communication during Myth's stay helped us relax while out and about. She is clearly an animal lover to the core. If I'm being honest I'm pretty sure Myth would have been happy to stay on Amanda's ranch forever. 10/10 experience ... and her rate is super reasonable for the amazing experience your dog is going to get under her care. About: I have always lived on property I have several dogs and cats. I have had horses even. I love to hangout with animals and take care of them. I have volunteered many times at my local dog humane society in San Luis Obispo. I love going into nature and love having the company from animals. I have gone to several training classes with my own puppies and do a lot of clicker training with them. I have pets on my own and I love to take them on walks daily. I live on property so sometimes I’ll just walk them here or we will go and explore the local beaches. I like being able to get exercise but also have a companion with me. My home is pet friendly and a doggie suite for special needs dogs if necessary. Doggie suite includes couch dog beds, toys and a television. Our home also includes 2 doggy doors with access to a fenced yard with about 1700 sf of lawn with large trees and a canopy for warm days in the summer for outside exercise. Dogs can lounge around under the ceiling fans, if they wish. Safe and friendly environment is my main concern. Photos and videos are a norm.

About: I have grown up with and taken care animals since I can remember from dogs and cats to fish and birds to even chickens! I have watched puppies and senior dogs. I currently work from home as a secretary so I have a lot of free time in between calls and invoicing to love on and care for your pet. I also can work anywhere, not just at home. I can take care of your fur baby like you would depending on your preferences. I can crate your pet if needed and take them on the walks and exercise that they my need.
About: I am a 33 yr old Army Vet and I currently work at a Veterinary Hospital when I'm not on active duty. I have 4 pets; 2 dogs & 2 reptiles. I have own all types of animals since I was a child and my passion continues to grow! I am off Saturday-Monday with minimal hours the remainder of the week of 8-245pm. Home nights and weekends so this allows a semi flexible availability. I live in a gated apartment complex that is pet friendly. There is a local dog park that I use for my own pets as well as trails near by.
About: I live in Lake Nacimiento and have been around animals my whole life. My family has dogs, cats, chickens, goats, ponies, and puppies, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from helping care for puppies from the time they’re born to senior dogs up to 15 years old. I recently graduated college with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry, but while I was away I pet and house sat for several families and built great relationships with both the pets and their parents. Many of my clients had my personal number and would reach out whenever they needed help. I’m happy to provide references if you’d like! House Sitting: I am currently accepting house-sitting clients. I work full-time as a dental assistant Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but I can still provide morning feedings, a midday potty break and walk during my lunch hour, and evening care. From Friday through Sunday, I am available full-time and can provide care throughout the day to best match your pet’s routine and needs. Drop-In Visits: I am currently accepting drop-in visit clients. During the week, I am available for visits before 7:30 AM, between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM during my lunch break, and anytime after 5:00 PM. On weekends, I am available anytime. Dog Walking: I am available for dog walks anytime Friday through Sunday. Monday through Thursday, I am available for walks between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM during my lunch break, as well as in the evenings anytime after 5. I understand how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would expect for my own. I am CPR and First Aid certified, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs.

About: I like to walk the dogs daily around the Atascadero Lake. I have a decent size fenced backyard with room to run and use my poop scooper daily. I am retired and looking for things to do during the week (mon-Fri) to fill my days. I have always loved the company of dogs and love to take them on daily walks. I have a dog bed in my bedroom, where your dog would sleep at night. The dogs water bowl is always kept clean and fresh. The dogs would always be welcome to hang out in the house with me, too.

One of the reasons why I initially chose Sara, was the experience she listed as working in a veterinary's office and the fact that she put together a very thorough bio describing her background in working with animals. With Sara's veterinary experience, she felt that a quieter home environment would be easier on a senior dog, without me bringing up this concern of mine. About: I have traveled a lot in the past and as a dog owner I understand the need for reliable and affordable dog care. As a teacher I have the summer off, so I am home most of the time right now and would love to offer that care to your furry friend. I have a house with a fenced in backyard and a wonderful 10-year-old husky mix who plays well with small-to-large sized dogs. I live with my husband who will be home in the evenings and on weekends, but I will be the only one providing care. If your dog(s) are friendly with other dogs, I look forward to hosting them! Meal times are usually 7:30 am and 6:30 pm. Walks in the am or pm depending on the heat. A fenced in backyard means your pup can let themselves out whenever they need relief. My husband and I have a house with an 8-foot fence and a friendly husky mix to keep your dog(s) company. Our dog is a lover of trash, so we are very careful to keep food out of reach and the trash can locked.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I’m was around 5, I grew up with poodles and we raised them . I would help the neighbors with their cats,dogs,birds and bunnies I currently work for full-time, but on the weekends I enjoy hanging out with dogs. About: I have been an avid animal lover my entire life, and have a special interest in dogs. I have a base level of knowledge on all breeds and creeds that goes beyond the typical level of interest for most folks. I have always been the person who brings home every stray I see, and I currently have a mini dachshund puppy named Lady May! I have experience working with senior dogs, puppies, medically complex dogs, and of course, just normal dogs! I also have experience in working with and caring for exotic pets including rabbits, chameleons, turtles, tortoises, and frogs. I live on a 500 acre property in Creston, so I have tons of space for all sorts of animals.
