Marla was a wonderful sitter for my doggy. She has a great home with a big yard. She was very communicative all day and sent pictures to help me see how she was doing. My dog is used to only being in her own home, so it was nice to see she could do okay in other surroundings. Marla has a kind and gentle spirit and offers a loving environment for your pet!

Chris, was very patient and kind regarding our 3.5 year old pup and took him on a few walks during his doggie day care time from 9:30-4:30pm. His dog, Cash, and Nugget both enjoyed their puppy time together. Christ was great at being able to handle all the puppy shananagans they had together. Chris really helped me out while my husband and I were at my father’s memorial service. We are so appreciative and recommend his services. He is new to the area but don’t let that stop you from utilizing his services.

Rachel replied immediately. She was welcoming. We had a meet & greet with her and Gus, and Levi and I were very impressed :) Her dog Gus is just a cutie pie and loves to play, so he kept my little guy very busy. Levi came home happy and tired! Yes! I hope we can plan another petsitting date soon. Thank you for everything Rachel. I loved the photos you sent me - especially the one with your little girl and Levi.

About: I like to walk the dogs daily around the Atascadero Lake. I have a decent size fenced backyard with room to run and use my poop scooper daily. I am retired and looking for things to do during the week (mon-Fri) to fill my days. I have always loved the company of dogs and love to take them on daily walks. I have a dog bed in my bedroom, where your dog would sleep at night. The dogs water bowl is always kept clean and fresh. The dogs would always be welcome to hang out in the house with me, too.

About: Loving Care in a Spacious Home — Your Dog’s Second Favorite Place! 🐾 Hi there! I work from home full-time, which means your pup will have constant companionship and plenty of love and attention throughout the day. Plus, we’re just a short walk from the local dog park for extra social fun and exercise. Whether your dog loves cuddles, long walks, or lounging in the sun, I’ll make sure they feel right at home. You can count on a calm, safe, and happy environment — where every tail wag is welcomed and every pup is family. ❤️ I work from home so I will give them constant attention and supervision throughout the day and the kids will make sure they get their energy out at night! I have a large yard to run around and play! No pets in the home for a more intimate experience and 4 happy kids to entertain them!

Dropped off Flower for a short visit today before I board him with Andrew. I had previously met with Andrew so that Flower could meet him and Flower was very happy to see him. When I picked up my little dog, he seemed very content and peaceful sitting in his little bed. It made me very happy to see that my dog was happy and apparently had a good visit! I feel great about leaving flower with Andrew for the upcoming weekend after this wonderful experience.

Joan is the kindest, nicest person you could hope to have watch your dog. She watched over our pandemic pup on his first time away from us while we hiked and canoed around Morro bay. She did such a great job that we even sent our dog back the next day. She was patient with him, despite the barking and who knows what else :).

Isabelle was such a great host for our dog Jayden. My wife and I traveled to Reno from out of town for an event. Our dog is a 15 year old lab that is mostly blind, mostly deaf and has a few other “old lady” problems. Despite all this Isabelle agreed to watch Jayden for a few hours. Isabelle’s communication before and during Jayden’s stay was exceptional as she kept us updated on how Jayden was doing and sent a few pics as well. Isabelle was also very flexible when we asked if we could drop Jayden off earlier than originally planned. Isabelle is a great dog sitter and made Jayden’s time away from us as comfortable as possible. My wife and I have total trust in Isabelle and will definitely use her again if ever in the area.

About: Active and attentive family available to provide multiple levels of care for your fur baby! Our nine-year-old is interested in starting a dog walking business (with support from mom or dad), and we are also able to board a friendly dog who would be sharing space with our elderly dog or do drop-ins/ house sit when more appropriate (not the whole family!). We can provide exercise through walks, on-leash hikes, or whatever works for your dog. I’ve been around dogs most of my life and am comfortable with all ages (puppy to elderly). Our child is in a hybrid homeschool program so someone is home most days throughout the day to keep your pet company. Our child is a hybrid homeschool program so we are home 4 days a week all day and gone for an hour or two on school days for drop off and pick up. We have a fenced yard and live close to dog friendly beaches and trails. If you have a cat you need a sitter for, we are available for drop-ins or to stay at your residence because our dog has strong opinions about the feline species.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 163 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Paso Robles. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Paso Robles commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 163 sitters in Paso Robles, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
