“Kristie is a reliable, communicative, and caring petsitter. She went above and beyond for us and helped us out with a last-minute change of plans and cared for our dog in an unexpected / urgent situation. I highly recommend Kristie and will be calling on her again.”

“Emily was awesome I will be using her whenever I am in town. She came for a meet and greet and was on time and so personable. I felt very confident leaving my little senior dog with her.”

“Carrie did a great job with my cats. She was always on time, took good care of feeding them with their medication and played with them. Sent me lots of pictures and even brought in a package. She is honest and reliable. Thank You!”

“I was in a major pickle and suddenly could not bring my puppy to work with me anymore. I contacted Rebekah pretty last minute asking for help and she was able to assist me the next day with hardly any notice. She has been a huge help and I trust her completely being in my home and taking care of our pup. She sends cute pics and updates at each visit. I definitely recommend her!”

About: I have been a dog owner since childhood and grew up in farm country Wisconsin so animals have a fond place in my heart. I've been involved in animal rescue for over 15 years as well as working as a dog trainer in the past. I believe in positive training and reward system. Your fur baby will be treated as if they are part of my own pack, spoiled with love. My work schedule is very flexible as I work from home so your pet will always be cared and looked after. I know your pets are family and should be treated as such and that's priority #1 when your pet is with me. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. Both my animals and yours will be a priority and always have companionship from myself and my puppy I have a large enclosed backyard for fresh air and sunning but always visible to watch them. I’m very alert and aware on walks and hikes at all times as well
About: I have been working with animals since I was little. I have had a plethora of furry friends; rodents, reptiles, birds, cats, dogs, a pig! I am pet first aid and CPR certified, so in case any kind of emergency I am always prepared! I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and oral medication. Animals are my passion and seeing them happy and thrive gives me so much joy, and I have so much love to give! I work evenings/weekends at a restaurant, but that allows for my mornings and weekdays to spend time with your pets while you’re away at work! I am happy to provide drop-in visits for lunches, walks, or just some companionship to break up the day until you’re home. I will happily give lots of pets, scratches, and attention in whatever way they best receive it. I’ve had dogs that just love to snuggle, others who need a high intensity run, or some that just love playing fetch in their yards. I am happy to do whatever makes them happy!
About: We’re a dedicated pet-sitting team with over 30 years of experience caring for animals, bringing compassion, patience, and reliability to every pet we care for. We love keeping pets happy and active with walks and play, while always following your detailed instructions for feeding, routines, medications, and special needs. Working together means your pet always has attentive, consistent care—never rushed or overlooked. We truly enjoy spending quality time with animals and treat every pet as if they were our own, so you can travel with confidence knowing they’re safe, comfortable, and well cared for. As a pet-sitting team, we offer the best of both worlds. I work from home, so your pet has company, attention, and care throughout the day, with regular breaks for walks, play, and check-ins. My partner is retired, which means added availability, flexibility, and a calm presence at home. Together, we ensure your pet is never alone, rushed, or overlooked. We’re happy to follow a detailed schedule you provide—including exact feeding times, walks, play sessions, and medications—so your pet’s routine stays consistent, familiar, and stress-free while you’re away. As an in-home pet-sitting team, we care for your pet the same way we’d want someone to care for our own—with love, attentiveness, and respect for their home and routine. Having two caregivers means more consistency, flexibility, and peace of mind, with your pet always receiving calm, unrushed attention in the comfort of their own space. We believe clear communication builds trust, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and short videos to reassure you that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. We take the time to listen carefully and follow every instruction you provide—from feeding schedules and medications to special needs and quirks—so your pet’s routine stays familiar and stress-free while you’re away.
About: Being an animal lover runs in my family. So, I’ve been caring for dogs and cats my whole life! I have bottle fed kittens, taken care of elderly pets, and very young puppies. Ranging anywhere from 5-75 pounds. I’m no stranger to pet medicine, scooping litter boxes, or even training. I look forward to working with you and meeting your fur-baby! I work entirely from home and already care for my own animals. Which I take my dogs for walks in my beautiful neighborhood and they play in my large fenced area as well. I also own a double pet stroller. Great for small, medium, and/or elderly pet walks. Lastly, I have one indoor/outdoor cat and three indoor cats that are also friendly. I have four fixed, friendly, trained dogs. They are very used to meeting new animals and living with cats. My only large animal is my golden retriever. Which he is very friendly and gentle. The others are a chihuahua, doxin, and mini schnauzer. So, my home is especially perfect if your pet would like some play mates! I also have a doggy kitty pool if he/she likes water. If needed, I also have a large cozy crate and separate fenced yard for separation.
“Sara was excellent. I'm always nervous leaving my pets, since they are indoor only, plus we have a couple foster cats in another room right now. Sara sent me photos every day of our pets getting attention, and we came home to happy and healthy pets. 100% will hire Sara again.”

“Michelle was very communicative during her visits and sent lots of pictures. She did a great job and our shy cat warmed up to her very quickly! Will 100% use her again when needed!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paso Robles. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
