“Andrew met us and our dogs before their stay. He accommodated an early drop off and responded immediately to all of our texts. He is easy to work with and we will certainly request him again.”

“Adrienne is a wonderful human being. She is also a responsible, caring, affectionate and communicative sitter. I highly recommend her if you want peace of mind! We had a great experience with her caring for our fur baby. She took him on walks and even to the beach.”

“Appreciated Josh responding quickly to my last minute booking request. Buddy was very happy to be there and looked just as happy when I picked him up.. which says he loved it. 😊 thank you Josh for taking very good care of buddy.”

“Lauren welcomed my 10 mo old puppy with open arms. From the moment we arrived, Lauren and her fur babies welcomed my girl and provided the perfect stay while I was away. Lauren’s communication was great, pictures were sent showing how at home my girl had become. Lauren was exceptionally accommodating, and kind. When I arrive to pick up my pup, she was playing, happy and unfazed that I was there (to me, this is the perfect sign of a well cared for dog). I’ll be calling Lauren for future overnight stays. Your dog will love Lauren!!!”

“Anne is brand new to Rover, but she performed as if she has been doing it for 10 years. I was EXTREMELY pleased with her care of our Basset Hound in her home while we were away. Her home is fully secure and provides a very safe environment for a dog out of it's normal space. She walked Chester through her neighborhood and provided him plenty of opportunity for exercise as well as sent me numerous photos throughout his stay with her. Anne is pleasant, mature, and shows great judgement. Chester came home happy and content and is looking forward to the next time I need a sitter so he can go back and visit with her! I will use Anne for all future needs we have with Chester and would highly recommend her to others.”
“Kambry was very responsive and was able to watch for our dog Goose on short notice for the evening. Goose can be uneasy and reactive, but Kambry was able to handle everything super well with care and understanding. She is definitely an experienced sitter and I recommend her to anyone searching in the SLO area!”

“This was an excellent experience with great care for our dog. Chili has special heart problem that requires her to have medication three times a day so we rarely leave her but, Jed and Tara handled it with care and attention! Chili loved playing with their children and did not want to leave when we came to pick her up she was having so much fun. They were flexible, communicative and cared well for our dog. Thank you!”

“I could not have asked for a better boarding experience for my dog! Krissy and her husband are so kind and clearly care a lot about every dog’s well being. I received daily photo updates with additional notes on how my dog was doing which made me feel very reassured. When my international flight was cancelled and Emmylou (my dog) had to stay one more day, it was no problem. I picked up my dog happy and healthy and tired. Highly recommend Krissy’s dog camp!”

“Kara is a gem! I hope that she’s open to taking our dogs because I felt 100% confident that our pups were in good hands. She was very approachable, easy to communicate with and sent us pictures and updates.”

“Katie was so wonderful! My dog came home relaxed and tired from all the fun. I can tell she was properly cared for and given a lot of attention and exercise. I was so grateful for Katie’s kindness and understanding of my special, quirky dog.”

“Lauren and her family are nothing short of fantastic. They watched our 14 year old pupper, Duke, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were a bit nervous- but Lauren and her family made it such a positive, comforting experience. Lauren was incredibly communicative throughout the planning, and even during Duke's stay. Her family has a genuine love for animals- I can't even begin to overstate it. One of the sweetest moments? I came to pick Duke up from his sleepover and, as we were walking out the door, Duke actually walked back in just to say goodbye to the kids. That's how we knew he felt safe and happy there. We already have plans for Duke to have future sleepovers with Lauren and her family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, responsible, and attentive pet sitter. She and her family are absolute gems.”

“Patty took such great care of my dog while I was out of the country. She was so caring and sweet, let him snuggle with her, and was sure to send me updates to let me know he was doing well. Ollie loved staying with her. I would definitely ask her to watch him again!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
