About: I have tons of animal experience, from chickens to horses and everything in between. Many of my high school years were spent in dog and cat rescue, and I have taken multiple animal science courses in college so I am very comfortable with a wide range of medical and behavioral needs. I'm not scared off by or wary of animals that might need more time to warm up. I'm also very active and outdoorsy and am always looking to have an animal join me on my various adventures and outings if that is what they are into. I work with dogs and cats of all sizes, energy levels, and ages, and can give oral medication, injections, or do bladder expression if needed. I am currently on summer break from my college classes and working part-time remotely from home, so I have a lot of flexibility in terms of scheduling. I’m comfortable playing, feeding, giving medication, crating, or anything else your pet might need. I treat all animals with the love and respect they deserve.

About: Hi there! I’m a caring, reliable animal lover who would love to give your pets all the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away! ❤️ I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I always take the time to make them feel safe and loved. Whether your pet loves playtime and cuddles or prefers a little extra space and a calm environment, I’ll happily meet them where they are. I’m happy to help with feeding, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and keeping your pets on their normal routine. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in good hands! Your pets aren't just pets; they're family. I’ll treat them like my own! 🐶🐱💕 I work from 6 AM to 3 PM, so I’m available for pet care in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends! I’m organized and dependable, and I plan my schedule carefully to make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m happy to accommodate walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and drop-in visits around my work hours. I provide attentive, loving care tailored to each pet’s personality, needs, and routine. In a client’s home, I make sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment by keeping up with their feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and any special care instructions. I’m happy to give extra attention to shy or anxious pets and respect their boundaries as they warm up to me. I also prioritize keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their furry family members are happy and safe while they’re away. About: I grew up with an English bulldog and cared for him his whole life. Growing up family always trusted me to take care of their pets as I had watched over a golden retriever and Rottweiler. I currently own two border Collie mixes and would love to take care of your friendly dog. I have trained my dogs and all my pets have been well mannered, well tempered, and well behaved. I don't consider myself a trainer but I was able to walk my English bulldog to walk off leash and various commands and my two pups are making quick strides to do the same and more. I would ideally take care of your pets over the weekend as I would be able to give my full undivided attention to them. I am open to taking care of pets during the week with the understanding that I work full time remotely and would not be able to focus in on them as much as I would on a weekend. I love to go on hikes, runs, and go to dog friendly social settings. I would love to bring your pet along for the fun. I frequently take my dogs outside to play fetch and go on walks in my community and would love to include yours. I live in a two story condo with access to a large unfenced lawn and neighboring parks two minutes away from home. My home has a fenced in patio where my dogs have access to through the night to use the restroom with access through a doggy door. During the day I take them out often in the large communal lawn and neighboring parks. I am off Southwood near sinsheimer Park. I have access to large spaces where fetch can be done both on or off leash. I typically play with my pets off leash and would love to incorporate your pet into our play sessions should they have good recall. I have multiple large doggy beds and your pup can be crated or fenced in the common areas depending on their comfort levels. Dogs are fed in the mornings at 8 and in the afternoons at 5. I take them out for routine walks in the morning and afternoon with outdoor time/ fetch midday around lunch. I also take them out for a quick potty break at night before we all hit the hay.

About: I have taken care of many family & friends dogs and cats (and other types of pets) over the years. I have never had an issue with even the unruly ones. I am able to gain an animals trust quickly and am intuitive on how to approach them & care for them. I have a special needs nephew that I am a Respite Careworker for, I help administer his medications and am confident I can administer meds to any animal as well. I have also been taking care of my disabled mom for the last few years and am a mother of 2 (new empty nester). I have a lot of patience and don't get upset with messes. Everything is washable in my opinion. Although I will keep your house as tidy as possible if I am House Sitting for you. I live in Santa Maria, but am available for pet/house sitting in any part of Santa Barbara or San Luis Counties depending on the day(s). I would consider traveling further on the weekends if I am able. I am a responsible & trustworthy person, who genuinely enjoys caring for others. I work from home on Mon & Fri, so I am only unavailable during the day on Tues/Wed/Thurs. I am able to care for animals in the morning before I leave for work and every evening. I recently lost my dog at the ripe old age of 17, I used to walk my dog every day, so I know all the good dog walking spots in the area. I love hiking as well, so if your dog is up for it, I am happy to take them hiking too. I work in conjunction with my partner who is home during the day, so if there is a need for more exercise, feedings or medication during the day, we can facilitate that. I enjoy the company of animals, so they would be included in everything I do, as much as possible. I used to take my dog everywhere with me. I prefer caring for pets in their own homes, only because they are more comfortable there. My place is not very big, so it depends on how much space they are used to. I can sit 2-3 dogs at a time if they are not too big. I have room for a crate, but not more than one. I do have a is fenced in yard with a locked gate.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for many years and truly enjoy spending time with them. I lived with three dogs for over seven years, where I was responsible for their daily care, including feeding, walking, playtime, bath, and basic training. This experience taught me how to understand different personalities, build trust, and provide a safe, loving environment. I also lived with two cats for more than a year and helped leash-train one of them so they could safely enjoy outdoor adventures. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I always adapt my care to their comfort level and routine. In addition, I cared for a family’s dog for an entire summer while they were away. We spent our days going on walks, visiting the beach, playing at the park, and enjoying plenty of quality time together. Making pets feel happy, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your pet loves long walks, active play, or simply relaxing with companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the same care, patience, and affection I would give my own. I work full-time, but my flexible schedule allows me to take breaks throughout the day, ensuring your cat receives attentive, reliable care whenever needed. My spacious home provides plenty of room to relax, and my fully fenced backyard offers safe outdoor time with constant supervision and personalized care daily.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

95% of sitters in Edna can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Edna home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Edna.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edna. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

You and your Edna sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
