“Jennifer & Julie took excellent care of Zoey. She had a great time at their place, so much so that she didn’t seem that excited to see us! They updated us regularly on how she was doing and sent plenty of pictures. Zoey will be visiting again soon.”

“Lauren and her family were absolutely wonderful with Cooper! They were so friendly and sweet with my boy, followed all of his care instructions, and made sure he got plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. I could tell from how happy and relaxed Cooper was that he had a great time. I’m so grateful to have found such a kind and caring family to look after him. I would absolutely rebook them!”

“Monique had a very dog friendly house! She seemed really kind and like true pet lover. I have never left my dogs with someone that wasn’t family so I was nervous but after meeting her I felt comfortable knowing they’d be in good hands. “Kambry was very responsive and was able to watch for our dog Goose on short notice for the evening. Goose can be uneasy and reactive, but Kambry was able to handle everything super well with care and understanding. She is definitely an experienced sitter and I recommend her to anyone searching in the SLO area!”

“Josh was great at communicating and easy to coordinate with before and during watching my dog, Princess. I felt worry-free the entire weekend. Princess had a ton of play time and was a happy dog when I picked him up. I will board with Josh again!”

“Rachel and her loving family took fantastic care of our little 6 month old puppy. This was the first time we had left her with someone and we really appreciated the attention to detail and expertise that Rachel provided. We will definitely be using her services in the future and are so glad to have found her!!”

About: I grew up with an English bulldog and cared for him his whole life. Growing up family always trusted me to take care of their pets as I had watched over a golden retriever and Rottweiler. I currently own two border Collie mixes and would love to take care of your friendly dog. I have trained my dogs and all my pets have been well mannered, well tempered, and well behaved. I don't consider myself a trainer but I was able to walk my English bulldog to walk off leash and various commands and my two pups are making quick strides to do the same and more. I would ideally take care of your pets over the weekend as I would be able to give my full undivided attention to them. I am open to taking care of pets during the week with the understanding that I work full time remotely and would not be able to focus in on them as much as I would on a weekend. I love to go on hikes, runs, and go to dog friendly social settings. I would love to bring your pet along for the fun. I frequently take my dogs outside to play fetch and go on walks in my community and would love to include yours. I live in a two story condo with access to a large unfenced lawn and neighboring parks two minutes away from home. My home has a fenced in patio where my dogs have access to through the night to use the restroom with access through a doggy door. During the day I take them out often in the large communal lawn and neighboring parks. I am off Southwood near sinsheimer Park. I have access to large spaces where fetch can be done both on or off leash. I typically play with my pets off leash and would love to incorporate your pet into our play sessions should they have good recall. I have multiple large doggy beds and your pup can be crated or fenced in the common areas depending on their comfort levels. Dogs are fed in the mornings at 8 and in the afternoons at 5. I take them out for routine walks in the morning and afternoon with outdoor time/ fetch midday around lunch. I also take them out for a quick potty break at night before we all hit the hay.
About: I’m a pet parent to 3 cats and 1 dog, and over the years I’ve worked with multiple trainers to better understand animal behavior and communication. I’ve also volunteered at shelters, where I learned how to read body language, recognize stress signals, and support animals with patience and compassion. I love my own fur babies deeply, and I’ll care for yours with the same level of love, respect, and attention. If pricing is a concern, feel free to message me I’m always open to discussing options. Additionally, I am open to chickens, reptiles, and other pets. I work remotely, so I’m able to spend most of the day with your fur baby. For overnight stays, I may need a few short breaks during the day, and we can go over what works best for your pet during our meet‑and‑greet. I love being outdoors, and there’s no better company than a furry friend by my side. I’m available for walks and check‑ins Monday through Friday, as well as weekends and overnight stays. If you’d like to set up a meet‑and‑greet, feel free to message me. I make it a priority to communicate with you about your pet’s individual needs so every detail is understood and every comfort is met. I also take time to learn about any stresses, triggers, or special routines your fur baby may have. I usually recommend a meet‑and‑greet either in person or over Zoom to go over your pet’s daily schedule, since keeping their routine consistent helps reduce stress while you’re away. Every pet is unique, and this meeting allows us to cover everything thoroughly. The first meet‑and‑greet is free; any additional meetings may include a small fee. If you’d like to set one up, feel free to message me.
“5 Stars for Tatum. I could tell that our pup Stompy was in good hands because his tail was wagging furiously when first meeting Tatum and her partner. We were sent some fun photos of Stompy playing and relaxing at a local Dog Beach and learned that he was comfortable enough to get into the water which is a first for our dog who has always had a water phobia. We returned to find a very happy dog. I highly recommend Tatum. She is a dog whisperer!”

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Verde.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
