“Thank you so much for taking care of our Maggie! We appreciated you being on time, your communication and especially the pictures. We will contact you next time we need a doggie sitter!”

About: I don’t have any of my own, but throughout my childhood we had 1-2 dogs at all times. I’ve always loved dogs, but my apartment won’t allow them so now I live vicariously through this app. I have weekends off and work from 7a- 3:30p daily so afternoon walks or pet sitting can be arranged around that. I’d love to add some walks with a pet. I’d be happy to help care for a pet in their own home. I work during the day, but would be overjoyed to have a pet at home to take care of.
“Riley has been such a great help with Max, we both work full time and sometimes our schedules do not align and Riley has been that savior for us!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. Max has been having some tummy issues as Great Danes do and didn’t hesitate to step in and help clean up one of his accidents 🥲🥲. Could be more grateful 🫶🏽”

“Alanna was great to work with. She answered questions quickly and was very flexible to work around our schedules. Most important, our kitties loved her! They can be picky, but she took such good care of them. Will book again with her.”

“Kristin was very responsive when seting up our visit. She answered all my questions. She showed up a few minutes early and our boy took to her immediately. Kristin have is a full report upon our return. We would definitely recommend Kristin and we will be repeat customers next time we are in the area. Thank you, Kristin!”

“We booked Jo to cat sit our one cat for a little more than a week. It was our first time having a cat sitter, and Jo was outstanding the whole duration. We had well written updates every visit with multiple pictures of our girl. Jo has a great eye for detail and diligently tended to our cat's needs. Jo was greatly accommodating and even left her a couple of well appreciated goodbye gifts. We were confident from Day 1 and the whole way through that we were in good hands. We'll be looking into Jo's availability the next time we need a cat sitter.”

“Paul is fantastic! It’s apparent how passionate he is about animal care and well being. He sent lots of pics, is very communicative, and came through on a last minute booking. My cats seemed happy and stress free on my return and everything was in good order 🫡”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pismo Beach
Riley checked in on our 4 cats while we were in holiday for 1.5 weeks. She was AWESOME! So attentive to our cats and their needs/environment, very communicative (we loved and appreciated her updates and Photos) and was very kind. We felt that our kitties were in wonderful hands. Would highly recommend!

Shelby did an outstanding job and I would definitely book again. Communication was great, lots of photos with a detailed breakdown of the visit. Took lots of notes during the initial meet and greet. Punctual with all visits. I felt no stress at work with my pets care. My dog and cat both seemed to love their company! Would definitely re-book.

We found Madison to be conscientious, on time and very caring towards our kitty. Her communication was excellent and we were very happy with the service. We feel better planning future trips knowing we have someone to take care of a special member of the family!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
