“Cats absolutely love Krystal. They love people in general but usually are somewhat hesitant at first, but not with Krystal! Plenty of photos and so good with the kits, definitely appreciate how well she took care of them!”

About: Hi I'm Tiffany! I used to groom for a grooming corporation for about 5 years and then on my own for a few years after that. I then took on house/dog sitting for close friends and really enjoyed it all before COVID hit. I love caring for animals and my heart is huge for dogs. I love to be active with dogs and helps me to stay healthy and fit too since all day I sit at a desk job. I have an 18 year old chihuahua dachshund mix who is my whole world, and his name is Shorty. I look forward to walking your pet or keeping your pet safe while you're away. :) Thank you very much. I currently work full time during the week so I have availability for your pup’s needs on nights and on the weekends. I can be available weekdays 6:30pm - 9:00pm and weekends available 10:00am - 9:00pm. I can dog sit at your place or check on them. I can also walk them so they get their exercise before bed and through the day on the weekends. I currently do not have a place to hold your pet for sitting so all sittings will need to be their homes.

I am a substitute teacher during the regular school year and am otherwise a DoorDash driver. I would work my schedule around what you need. My cats stay indoors and my 2 dogs love hanging out on our front enclosed porch or lounging inside. They all get along quite well.

About: I have many year of pet caring under my belt! I have two dogs of my own, one of which with special needs. I have been left in charge of my pets before and have shown that I am trusted to handle everything. Thank you for consideration in keeping your beloved animals safe!! I am a college student that is home for the summer working and internship! My schedule is somewhat flexible but on my work days they run pretty long. Dog walking in the morning or early afternoon is something that would work with my schedule. “Sue loved Joselynn! She was super sweet to him and kept me up to date on her visits with him. She even gave us a complimentary visit just because she was in the area. Would definitely book her again!”

“Maria is wonderful and I can’t recommend her more! She went above and beyond for our cats while we were on vacation and it gave us such peace of mind knowing they were taken care of so well. She really got to know their personalities and I could see from pictures how comfortable they were with her. I will definitely be reaching out to Maria in the future anytime we need someone to look after our pets.”

“Lacey took wonderful care of our little Poppy over the Thanksgiving holiday. Poppy can be very shy and is usually uncomfortable with new people, but Lacey had such a calm and grounding presence that Poppy warmed up to her quickly — even letting her be pet, which rarely happens. Lacey communicated well throughout the week and sent lots of photos, which helped us feel reassured while we were away. She also gave thoughtful updates after each visit, and by the end it truly seemed like she and Poppy had become friends. There were a couple of days when unexpected issues made her later than planned, but in spite of these hiccups, she kept Poppy top of mind and kept us in the loop. Overall, I’m grateful for the care, kindness, and attention she gave Poppy. I would book with her again.”

“Isabella was so so great! She updated us with pictures and messaged us if anything came up. She is very sweet and communicative. She took great care of our two cats and we will definitely book her again! Thank you so much 🤍”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for about four years, both for people I know and through shelter work. I’ve walked shelter dogs for “dog day out” trips, which helped me get comfortable with different breeds and energy levels. I’ve also fostered dogs overnight. On top of that, I’ve helped friends and family with walking, feeding and basic care. I’m patient, calm, and I always try to match what each dog needs whether it’s play time, slow walks, or just company. I treat every pet like my own and stay reliable with communication and updates. I work part-time, so I have a pretty open schedule during the week and most daytime hours. My weekends aren’t always open, but Sunday afternoons usually work well for me. I try to stay flexible, and I’m good at planning around what your pet needs. I take my time with pets and make sure they feel safe around me. When I’m in your home, I stick to your normal routine so your dog doesn’t get thrown off. I keep things calm, clean, and make sure they’re watched at all times, especially on walks. I’m patient with shy dogs and gentle with energetic ones. Overall, I just want your pet to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re gone.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Maria
Krystal did a fantastic job taking care of my cat. They got to be great pals. She paid a lot of attention to her. My kitty usually runs from new humans that she doesn’t know. But she seemed immediately comfortable with Krystal. I am really happy with how things went. Krystal is trustworthy and really good with animals.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Landon was kind and loving with our two dogs — even with one who can be a bit on the hyper side. He kept us updated with great communication and plenty of photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
