About: I have many year of pet caring under my belt! I have two dogs of my own, one of which with special needs. I have been left in charge of my pets before and have shown that I am trusted to handle everything. I have experienced training both of my dogs, and have been in charge of administering insulin of my special needs dog. I have dog sat for my friends and neighbors in the past, and they have been very happy with results. I will treat every animal and house with respect, like they are my own. Thank you for consideration in keeping your beloved animals safe!! I am a college student that is home for the summer working and internship! My schedule is somewhat flexible but on my work days they run pretty long. Dog walking in the morning or early afternoon is something that would work with my schedule. Any house sitting needs work during the week, and can be a little different on the weekend but it can still work! I will respect every home that I am invited to for dog sitting needs. I will be cautious of entering the home making sure all animals are secure and we have no escapees! I only offer out of home sitting, meaning no animal will be taken out of their own house for sitting. If your animal needs to be crated or other special accommodations please do let me know and I will make it happen!

Overall, I always had a pet in the home from childhood to adulthood. Giving me over 25 years of pet care responsibilities. Currently I am a pet parent to a German Shepherd, Dax, and black house cat, Kenny. I am observant of pet body language and in-tune with pet needs. My pets have ranged from outdoor kitties to leash reactive large breeds. I have used oral medicine and topical medicine, and am comfortable with pets post-surgery as well. Being away from your pet is difficult, I’m here to ease that worry for you. Again, I’m happy to help you for brief visits or extended periods. My schedule is wide open, unless otherwise stated in the calendar. My homebase is in Santa Maria, but I am willing to travel and service areas as far as Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, and the places between. Including Solvang, Buellton, and Santa Ynez. If you do have questions about something more specific or time frames that are more specific to your needs please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help you and make something work. I am cautious and aware, making sure that pets are safe at all times, I like to be preventative and think one step ahead. During walks, I am aware of my surroundings, if you have a specific route you walk I can stick to that route. Communication is key, making sure I am informed of anything that you need me to take note of. I’m always respectful of property and boundaries.

About: Hello! My name is Calie! I am currently a Veterinary student and I have a Bachelor’s in Animal Science. I have been caring for and working with animals for about 13 years now! I have experienced with many species! From horses to hamsters, you name it! While I was in highschool and while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree, I worked as a veterinary assistant. I have very well rounded knowledge about veterinary medicine and know how to keep your pet as happy and as safe as possible! I am very comfortable giving medications orally or by injection while you are out of town if you happen to have an ill or senior pet. I would love to care for your pet and give you a great piece of mind that your babies are safe! Please reach out to me! Since I am home from school for the summer, my schedule will be fairly open from about mid june to the end of july! I will be available any day of the week! When I pet sit, I make sure their feeding times are on time, make sure they are using the bathroom, check on their water consumption, give plenty of pets and make sure they have a fun time exercising outside!

“Lacey took wonderful care of our little Poppy over the Thanksgiving holiday. Poppy can be very shy and is usually uncomfortable with new people, but Lacey had such a calm and grounding presence that Poppy warmed up to her quickly — even letting her be pet, which rarely happens. Lacey communicated well throughout the week and sent lots of photos, which helped us feel reassured while we were away. She also gave thoughtful updates after each visit, and by the end it truly seemed like she and Poppy had become friends. There were a couple of days when unexpected issues made her later than planned, but in spite of these hiccups, she kept Poppy top of mind and kept us in the loop. Overall, I’m grateful for the care, kindness, and attention she gave Poppy. I would book with her again.”

IF ANYONE PREFERS TO HAVE ME WATCH THEIR DOGS "SOLO" I CAN DO THAT TOO. I recently retired. Unfortunately, my dog of 12 years passed this last March. I miss her dearly but I am not ready to have another dog full time. I am hoping I can share the love I have for dogs by pet-sitting, caring for your precious pet while you are out. I know how much pet-sitters helped me when I need pet-sitting for my dog and I want to return the favor. I prefer to care for your pet at my home; however, all situations are different and I would not be opposed to watching your pet at your own home. I would like to add, if you'd prefer I watch your dog alone, with no other dogs present, we can definitely have that conversation, as well. I trust me - I get it. I DO HAVE AN INGROUND POOL. AGAIN, DOGS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME, MORE IMPORTANTLY, I'LL KEEP THEM SAFE FROM THE POOL AS WELL.
